I called so many places and many said it would take at least two weeks. I told each place I didn't have two weeks because my uncle was being buried within a couple of days. Almaden Alterations who my family has been going to for over 25 years highly recommended Imagination Embroidery. Imagination Embroidery was literally a God send. They were professional, compassionate, polite and thorough from start to finish. After they listened to my situation via phone they said, 'bring it over and we will have it done by 4 p.m.' They are not far from the Bee Hive Natural Foods store that my family used to shop at when I was a kid. I raced over there, explained I needed embroidery and a patch (the patch to cover a logo). Grabbed lunch, picked up family from the airport and back to the embroidered chef jacket. The embroidery was excellent quality, so was the patch work. It cost about $50 which seemed reasonable for a rush job. In my nearly eight years of writing Yelp review its great to know that good mom and pop small businesses are operating within our community. Because there was poor time management, we would be working on pieces and then 15 minutes before the class would end, we would be told we have to start cleaning up so everyone would rush to finish what they were doing Because there was barely any hands on instruction, I was constantly watching online videos from other pottery instructors before class to teach myself the tips I was missing from my own instructor The studio also lacked a proper storage system, so every single week we came in, our pieces were in a different place which made it extremely difficult to find our work -- I lost a few pieces because of this The overall experience has been so disappointing and a waste of time and money - if you are serious about making pottery a hobby, I would suggest looking for a different pottery studio

The staff member (maybe the owner?) guided me to a table covered in free patterns they were giving away for LYS day and said I should pick one and then they would help me find the right yarn for the pattern. I picked what I hope is an easy shawl pattern and then another staff member led me to the appropriate yarn section. There were so many choices of beautiful yarn I had a hard time deciding. I finally settled on a skein of Malabrigo in variegated shades of blue. I didn't see the needles I needed for the project, but it turned out they had them behind the counter. It was so convenient to be able to buy everything I needed at once. To top it off, they offered to wind my skein right then and there. Usually yarn shops don't offer this service on special days like today when the shop is crowded with customers. Fillory has been around for many years through several owners. They have a large selection of yarn and helpful employees who work hard. There is also a dedicated space for social knitting if you want to drop by to knit with others. They offer a variety of classes, too.
