Stopping in for a calendar book, I know Im late in the game being that we are already in February. So disappointed that i didn't find anything, not one single calendar book in any size, uggh. They are ready for spring and Easter with some great decorations and gift ideas too. Loved the blue decorations for the laundry room and the feminine bathroom and tea decor. They always have some sort of sale with great savings for your wallet. There was so much I wanted to take home with me but I had to really think if I would get ling term use from it.

Came here to check out their Halloween merch and it didn't disappoint. I personally like the idea of incorporating pink into holidays for the sake of keeping pink as a general light aesthetic theme for my home, makes it so I don't have to constantly phase out one set of holiday decor just because it doesn't match my new set. Michaels now has Halloween decor that incorporates pink and I was in love at first sight! I ended up limiting myself to a pink skull but the other merchandise they had was gorgeous. It gave off a very vintage/spooky vibe which I loved. If you're looking to make spooky not only fun but also sprinkled with pink definitely check Michaels Halloween section out. My sis in law and I also walked around looking for good deals and random things we liked. It seems like they have quite a few Halloween craft activities as well as Dia De Muertos crafts as well. With almost everything being 40%-50% off we got some good deals and spent under $50, the cheapest Michaels trip I've ever had haha Plenty of parking, employees greet you when you walk in, there's always carts ready when you walk in the the left and the seasons hot topic is always presented in the front when you walk in. A great location to shop at!

Arrived here on a Saturday around 11:45 am with my sister to purchase some art supplies for her. It's a great plaza since Michaels is there for arts and crafts and dollar tree is next door for any items you want at a cheaper rate. Spacious parking lot so nothing to worry about. Michaels always coupons posted on their website so you'll save money nonetheless. We got 4 items- 2 sketch books and 2 graphite pencils. They've automated their checkout process with about 80% being self serve kiosks since majority of customers pay with card. I like how you can easily find posted coupons on the kiosk so you don't have to scramble for your phone for a certain QR code. Easy check in to find my items and seamless check out process.

Items are same brand and price but can't do an even exchange on the same day and have to come back another day to do this...

I bought a 24x36 frame and realized I got the wrong size. I came back same day a few minutes after my purchase to exchange for a smaller size (20x28), same brand, same sale price as well for 7.99 (I also used a $5 coupon and didn't want to lose the discount). The woman at the counter told me I have to come back in two days just to do that. I told her I'm not happy with this policy that makes no sense and want to just return the frame, she said I can't return it today and have to come back in a few days. What a very stupid and inconvenient system this is for something so simple. Not coming back here.

    This doesn't make sense!

Ordered curbside pick up and I've been waiting in the car, didn't know it's inside the store pick up. Very slow customer service.

    This was the only sign.

He wanted to stop by to check out the RC cars and boats, and even he was surprised by how much the store had changed since the last time he visited! There was honestly so much to look at. They have a HUGE variety of RC stuff--cars, trucks, boats, planes, parts, accessories, different bodies, and so much more. They even work on and repair RC cars there, which is really convenient. For me, the coolest part was the indoor RC track! Since this was my first time here, I was honestly amazed watching everyone race their little RC cars around the track . I didn't realize how big of a hobby this was, so it was actually really fun to watch. They also have an entire rock-crawling room with rocks, bridges, ramps, and different obstacles for the RC trucks, which was really cool to see. The guy working there was also really nice. He greeted us when we came in and answered all of my husband's questions. He was friendly and took the time to talk to us without making us feel rushed. They also had several Monster Jam RC trucks, which immediately caught my attention . I specifically asked about the Sparkle Smash truck. They didn't have that particular one, but he said they might get it later on. He also told us to come back because they're having a Monster Jam event soon, and now I'm actually interested in coming back for it! My husband already knew about this place, but as a first-time visitor, I was really impressed. Even though RC cars aren't really my hobby, I still had a good time looking around and watching everyone race. Between the huge selection, indoor track, rock-crawling area, repair services, and friendly customer service, we'll definitely be back!

Very cool artwork in front of the shop with a Corgi on a Snorlax! Walked inside and immediate room was an area set up with tables and chairs for play, along with crane machines. Went to the left and that is the main area with more tables for play and where the shop's goodies are! Was shopping for a seven year olds birthday gift, who wanted Pokémon cards. However, I don't know anything about this world or any trading card game or card shop. The owner Thien was extremely helpful in helping decide that to get - a box with a whole bunch of packs seven year old kids would like! Thien respected the price point I was going for, and really delivered! This place was nice and cool on a warm day, and did not have a card shop feel. I used to knit a lot, but lost interest a couple years ago, and recently decided to try and get back in to it. When I arrived at Fillory I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help with anything. I asked for a simple pattern to help ease me back into knitting. The staff member (maybe the owner?) guided me to a table covered in free patterns they were giving away for LYS day and said I should pick one and then they would help me find the right yarn for the pattern. I picked what I hope is an easy shawl pattern and then another staff member led me to the appropriate yarn section. There were so many choices of beautiful yarn I had a hard time deciding. I finally settled on a skein of Malabrigo in variegated shades of blue. I didn't see the needles I needed for the project, but it turned out they had them behind the counter. It was so convenient to be able to buy everything I needed at once. To top it off, they offered to wind my skein right then and there. Usually yarn shops don't offer this service on special days like today when the shop is crowded with customers. Fillory has been around for many years through several owners. They have a large selection of yarn and helpful employees who work hard. There is also a dedicated space for social knitting if you want to drop by to knit with others. They offer a variety of classes, too.

After my trek, Fillory Yarn was like an oasis. I immediately felt welcomed by the coziness of the store (it's very welcoming and inclusive), as well as the very friendly and helpful employees. Multiple said hi and welcomed me in, asking if they could do anything for me or if I needed any assistance. I've only recently begun to get into knitting and I loved their social knitting table! More stores should have that. I live in SF and I suppose SJ stores have more space for that. There were multiple people sitting and knitting and chatting. I also appreciated their sale section! I didn't buy anything from that section, but considered it. I also got a 5% off discount off my first purchase for joining their loyalty program. Everyone was so very helpful and friendly, quite a few employees and they all asked if I needed help. I loved their examples of items that were made with yarns they sold. They have an extensive collection and variety across types of yarn, materials, yarns for different items, books, accessories, and items across different price points--there is something for everyone and anyone, which makes sense. Fiber arts are political and I've been very impressed at how stores and fiber arts communities are welcoming everyone of all backgrounds into the fold. I'm disappointed but not surprised that some Yelp reviews reflect people who don't appreciate that inclusivity.
