Rubber rubber duckie theme diaper cake

I have to give a huge thank you to Ginger and Cynthia at Michaels for helping me bring my duck-themed diaper cake vision to life. I walked in with an idea but honestly had no clue how to execute it, and instead of making me feel out of place or overwhelmed, they got excited with me every step of the way. Cynthia patiently helped me explore different tools and ideas, and Ginger truly took it all the way by helping me finalize the vision into the cutest rubber ducky bubble bath-themed diaper cake. Their creativity, encouragement, and genuine enthusiasm made the whole experience so special. You can tell they truly care about their customers and love what they do. I'll forever appreciate how supported and inspired they made me feel. The diaper cake ended up being a huge hit thanks to them!

Ahh Michael's. The ultimate craft heaven. I've been going here for years and the seasonal variety of fake flowers always astounds me. Warm vibrant reddish tones for Fall, frosted glittering blues for Winter, sweet pastels for Spring, and sunflowers for days during the Summer. Ask about flower arrangements. The employees range from chipper, helpful, to bored looking, especially at the registers if it's been a long day. Some go above and beyond. Once, I needed a single roll of floral tape instead of a 3 pack but couldn't find any. Two employees worked together, chatting happily while they looked it up on their hand held portable device and climbed up a ladder searching through boxes stored overhead just for my one roll of floral tape. Much appreciated effort! Knitting supplies, paints, school art project area devoted to grade school kiddos, photo frames, bakeware, candy melts, scrapbooks supplies, stickers, so many beads and jewelry ideas, ribbon, candles, baskets, omg they have everything! Of course, they showcase items for the next holiday. Coupons! There's always a 40% off a regular price item coupon available online and in mailers. Sometimes there's a 20% off your entire purchase including sale items. One coupon per person; shop with others to save more.

Found parking conveniently right in front in the street since it was a quiet day out. I was looking for wool roving which she didn't have, however, she was so kind to explain the difference between the types of material and she showed me the correct type of yarn she did have that I'd be able to pull apart with my carding brushes! She had a lot of equipment to use for yarn crafts and it was great to see the variety of product inside. Apparently she holds craft nights and such too which I'm planning on looking into. Prices here were sooo much better than all the places I've found online which is also have to pay extra for shipping. She also even rolled the yarn into a ball for me before we left. Hopefully they'll have wool roving here soon, but I'm thankful for the yarn we were able to purchase for my current projects :) The best part -- her dog Jasper kept us company throughout our whole experience there and he is the absolute cutest cuddle bug! Can't wait to come back.

I visited this shop yesterday after seeing a canvas listed as "in stock" on their website. I'm…read morenewer to needlepoint and was excited to browse in person, especially since there are only a couple stores in the South Bay/Peninsula. When I asked about a specific canvas, I was told it was not available. I mentioned that the website showed it in stock and had an active add-to-cart option. The response I received was unexpectedly dismissive and in a condescending tone. The woman behind the counter said: "Amazon has trained you to expect things you see online to be in stock," followed by an explanation that their website does not really support online orders, at least not yet. I completely understand that inventory systems and websites don't always match. Had this simply been explained in a straightforward way, I would likely have purchased a different design/kit while I was there. Instead, the interaction felt condescending and uncomfortable enough that I chose not to continue shopping. For a hobby that relies on welcoming and guiding newcomers, tone matters. This was not my first experience with needlepoint, but I can easily see how it could discourage someone just getting started. Because of this experience, I won't be returning. I'd recommend new stitchers seek out another local store where questions are encouraged and customers feel comfortable spending time (and money).

This review is for their balloon bar and delivery service (they use DoorDash). I had the pleasure…read moreof speaking with Monica when I called a couple days in advance to confirm an online balloon order for delivery. She was super helpful and friendly. The overall experience was great! There were some reviews complaining that the balloons would deflate after just a few hours and I was a bit concerned, but the balloons held up pretty well and actually held up for a whole week. To be honest, we didn't need it to hold up that long, as long as it was inflated for the duration of the party, that's all that matters! In terms of the value, for what it's worth, with ordering ahead and being delivered straight to you, I thought it was a great deal! I received some quotes from balloon vendors for the exact same bundle and it was 4xs the price, so Michael's balloon bar worked out just fine for us. Just a couple things to keep in mind: we ordered 4 separate bundles and all 4 were completely tangled together when we received it. Luckily, our amazing friend was able to help quickly untangle them. Not sure how this could have been prevented, but just a heads up in case you need ample time to untangle before your event! Also, when ordering ahead, you have to pick a delivery time window instead of an exact time- this means the balloons can come earlier than expected or at the tail end of the time window. You can try to call and coordinate with the store, which is what I did, but still received it earlier than requested, which was OK. Earlier is better than late in my opinion. Hope this helps! If you need basic helium balloons for an event- I'd totally recommend giving their balloon bar a try. I'd personally place an order again in the future.

For their grand opening, there was a 10% off discount and my clip was packaged in the cutest little bag. I'm definitely keeping it to reuse as a cute gift bag for sure! Final Thoughts: Adorable little shop that's perfect for cute gifts with fairly reasonable prices for the items. Her inability to properly schedule appointments and have projects completed on time disqualifies "Said with Threads, LLC" as a viable option for having clothing alterations performed. If you are an East Bay resident and need alterations performed, please read the rest of this review before scheduling an appointment with this establishment. I've been going to Eileen since December 2024. Online reviews looked good, and her shop was near my house, which made it convenient for me. I encountered an odd issue with her during my first visit. She had informed me my pants were ready for pickup, and I specified the day/time I would be coming in. When I went to her shop for pickup, I called, and she informed me she had gone to deliver an order for someone else because she didn't think I would appear on time. I was completely baffled as to why she reached this conclusion and why she admitted it verbally. Between September and October 2025, I had requested that she perform alterations on some pants. On this occasion I was charged the day I left the articles with her and was assured they'd be ready on the date she had specified. Prior to picking them up, I called Eileen and informed her I was on my way. When she answered, she told me my pants were not ready and that she hadn't even started working on them. I was quite upset over this since more than a week had passed since I'd left the pants with her. About a month later, I brought in a blazer she had worked on previously and asked her to reattach the buttons, as some of them had come loose. Although she did not charge me for this, she assured me the blazer would be ready on time. She failed to have the blazer ready on time when I went to her shop. I went to go run some errands for about an hour, and when I came back, she had finished working on my blazer. This indicated that she did not need more than a week to work on my blazer and had procrastinated or otherwise failed to make good use of her time. What frustrated me, however, was the condition in which she returned my blazer. It was covered in lint/hair/debris and had a strange odor to it. I had dry-cleaned it prior to leaving it with Eileen, and her utter lack of regard for keeping it clean really upset me. Most recently, during December 2025, I requested an appointment two days in advance. I wanted her to hem some pants I needed for work. She had agreed to meet me at 11 am on a Wednesday. On the day of the appointment, I called her to let her know I had arrived. When she answered, she told me she had mistakenly marked my appointment for a different time/day and had left to attend to another client.
