We had friends and family that used them for their weddings, and after looking into many photographers, we decided to go with them. They are reasonably priced for the amazing pictures and expertise they were able to provide. We had Van and John as our photographers and they were great! They are both very creative and experienced in their photography skills. Van was able to handle any type of guest from the elders to kids. He was able to handle big groups. We worked with Sean for our Engagement Photo Shoot and for our Wedding. Sean made our Engagement Photo shoot a fun and enjoyable time. Both me and my wife are not comfortable in front of the camera, and Sean knew exactly what he needed to do to make our photos come out great. Sean also helped us pick the photo shoot locations based off of his experience. As for the wedding, we had a three day wedding, with two separate events that Sean attended. He captures everything we could ask for. Although he did not have a whole lot of experience with Sikh Weddings, Sean was open and willing to learn about the major ceremonies and the necessary moments he needed to capture in pictures. Sean provided all of the pictures, proofs, and the wedding album ON TIME!! This was our biggest concern as we have heard horror stories about couples getting their wedding albums months and months after their wedding. Sean promised a time frame. When the deadline was approaching, before we could email Sean, Sean had emailed us and told us that the work was complete. It was an easy process and he was prompt and professional. As for price, Sean worked with us to fit our budget. He understood what we wanted and we felt he went above and beyond to make our wishes fit within our budget. It's also been a while here, 2008, but ran across the ad for Michael's... I was scared to even price wedding photos, and had resigned to having my nephew and niece run around with cameras (both having taken photography classes). I stumbled onto this business, after having driven by only a million times- right in my own backyard! Pulled in on a hoot, and was able to talk with Sean. He gave me sample books to look at, and when we started talking details, I told him I was merely curious, as I knew our budget would never support a professional photographer. Amazingly, he worked with me, found out what we really wanted from our event and what we could really afford, and worked out a plan for us to consider. I walked out stunned and called my daughter from the car to tell her I just booked a photographer.... The quality of the photos is incredible and most haven't even had any editing. Michael, Sue, and Walter are phenonmenal to work with! They are professional, patient, and so FUN!!! My fiance and I booked them back in Dec 2017 for photography and videography services for our wedding. Jan 2018 we went with Michael and Walter to take pre-wedding photos. The quality of their work are beyond words (photos are still in the process of getting edited and I'm speaking of just the unedited photos...Can't wait till we see the edited version). For all future brides and grooms, Michael's Wedding is the photographer that is a MUST!!! Once my fiance and I got engaged and the venue was booked. Our next thing, we had to book was a photographer for our special day. Wasn't sure what to look for and where to start...as we searched and did our homework, we came across Michael's Wedding online as well as many other photographers in the bay area. Of all the photographers and profolio's we saw online, both my fiance and I kept going back to Michael's Wedding. So many beautiful, unique, and candid shots that was very personal and yet professionally taken that made the pictures stand out. I call and made an appointment with Sue and from day one, she was extremely nice and sweet. She answered all my questions and showed me photo albums to look at and also get a feel about the photographers work. I also noticed a blown up picture of a couple that was married at the same venue we booked at. Right there and then, I knew I was in good hands and I wanted Michael's Wedding photographers to be a part of our special day. We had our engagement session first with Sean, one of the main photographers. He met us in San Francisco at 3 beautiful different locations. On the day of the wedding, our photographer Sean and his assistance, Howard was super nice and very professional. Both, Sean and Howard did a great job and so many creative ways of taking certain pictures. Once the wedding was over, we knew it would be quite awhile before we can see all the photos that was taken that night. It was worth the wait...the day has come. This review is LONG overdue - our wedding was in the summer of 2007 but we're still in touch with Michael's and they're just as awesome now as they were then! 1. THE PEOPLE - Sean was our primary photographer. Fun to work with, totally laid-back, very accommodating, and completely professional. During consultations before the wedding, he put a lot of effort into figuring out what we wanted from our wedding photos. During this whole process (pre- and post-wedding), my wife and I met with Sean four or five times for consultation and planning. I'm still amazed by how much time and care this group put into making sure we were satisfied. Another note about Sean: he's hilarious. He really seems to enjoy what he's doing; his funny, relaxed personality makes him very easy to work with. On the day of the wedding, Sean and Bart (the second photographer), were very professional in dress and demeanor. They wore all black and were very totally inconspicuous. They were very much behind-the-scenes but still somehow managed to get the up-close, in-the-scenes shots. Everyone else we met from Michael's was gracious and friendly - they're a great group. 2. THE PHOTOS - Absolutely stunning! My wife and I couldn't be happier. The photographers took the perfect mix of traditional, candid, funny, and abstract photos. Our friends love our photos - they often say they want to hire Michael's whenever they get married. This was honestly one of the best parts of our wedding. Hand's down, the best money spent. 3. THE PRICE - We looked around at a lot of photographers in the Bay Area and Michael's was one of the best values we found. I think we paid around $3500 for wedding-day photography (2 photographers), a DVD w/ digital negatives, a huge album, and a large, framed print. The prices have probably gone up since 2007 but if you look around, wedding photography in general can be extremely pricey. We saw similar packages at other places for over $5000. The quality of the photos alone made this investment worth the cost for us. But add to that the effort and devotion Sean and the others put into our wedding - it's hard to put a value on that. read more

Our wedding was on a super hot day, but Michael and his crew worked really hard on our wedding day. We loved all our photos and they sure did an amazing job on our video. Highly recommended. We met them at a wedding fair at a Country Club, where many groups exhibit their catering, floral design, photography, videography and other wedding services. The color and light combination from their albums attracted us a lot. Based on their decent price, we signed the contract after the second visit to their office, even without going to a second potential candidate. I had my.wedding in 2012 and something reminded me to write this review. They were ok. If u book with anyone from the group it may be better than Michael. He lacked creativity and when I showed him what I meant he was offended and stormed off during the discussion after wedding. Very unprofessional. I am just cutting this short because I dont want to revisit everything. I booked thinking I was going to get the person that did my sister's wedding bc he was great and personable. His name I later found out was Sean. I thought Michael the owner of this would be even better but in the end I was wrong. In summary besides the routine must-hsve photo shots, that he captured but When it came to creativity on poses or letting us know if the pictures are looking good, he failed to do so. At least Let me know if hair was in my way during.the picture. That tuned a few possibly good ones! An example I can give is during my carriage ride he didn't have any good photos if that as a whole. He took picture when we inside off it but it didnt come out too great but I also wanted to show off the carriage as s while. He took picture of the house a focal point and I was mini to that. He could've also jumped out of Carriage to take a pic of us but of course he didn't think about that and complained how hot the weather was. I regret not asking for Sean once I met Michael and didnt even like the engagement shoot. The language barrier made it hard for me to understand him and I always had to communicate with sue. There still a lot of good reviews but it seems like it's more credit to the other members and not soo much the owner. So my tip is book with others from group if you want creativity and someone who makes sure you look good and not the scene. That's what he says when I told him about why I dislike the shoot. He doesnt understand that while the scene is important we were the focus. Disappointed and still haven't printed my album bc of this. I am still debating if I would want to. We got married last November. It has taken me forever to write this review not because I didnt want to, life has just been hectic. I hope this helps! We chose Michaell's Wedding Group while visiting a Bridal Faire in SF. We didnt particularly like anything or anyone there, but on our way out, we saw beautiful wedding pictures displayed and we stopped to look. Their pictures were incredible, and my husband really liked the wedding album styles they offered. Van asked if we had any questions, and being newly engaged, we had no idea what to ask. Van told us about their services. He wasnt trying to "sell himself," instead told us what they offered, and answered our novice attempts at photography questions. He explained we needed to be comfortable on our wedding day with whomever was taking our pictures. My husband, who let me make the majority of the planning decisions, really liked Van because he felt he was down to earth and he was comfortable with him. This is huge for him to tell me, so we met with Van at their office in Cupertino. It is actually a home, but used for office purposes only, which gives their services a personal feeling. Before the wedding I emailed Van "must- take" pictures and locations so we were on the same page. He and his assistants were careful to take them all. Throughout the day, they were with us like we were old friends. One thing I must mention, I got many compliments from family as well as friends that our photographers were very friendly and professional. Van read our style very well. Sean helped him throughout the day, as well as helping with the album and wedding video. Sean was great with fixing my train :-) Overall- I would recommend them to any bride who doesnt want to worry about her pictures. We are very happy with them.
