The outdoor patio is also very nice and calming, as well as comfortably shaded (which is great on a hot day). The food is great, and I think they are especially good on sweet breakfast items. The beignets are wonderful: crispy in the outside and soft on the inside. They aren't hollow like other beignets I've had, but I actually prefer this version. It's kinda like a light cake consistency. The sauce with them is also superb. My niece got the breakfast sandwich and I was quite envious. The combo of bacon, egg, cheese and brioche is solid, and if I could do it over again I'd order that with the hash brown (to be inserted in the sandwich). I got the chili verde and it was good, but I'd say other breakfast items I've had (the pancakes, the Benedict) are more uniquely stand out good.

So we decided to sit outside where it felt a bit more open. We got a corner spot that was secluded, which was perfect for the kids! Our waiter was very attentive and nice. We tried the chocolate French toast and presentation was amazing- taste... not so much. Overall the food is great for a demographic that doesn't value flavor and too much salt. We left 80% of the food because we couldn't enjoy it. If you like your eggs like they serve at hotel continental breakfasts-- you'll enjoy this place!

This cafe is sooo beautiful- I truly feel like I'm somewhere in Europe in a large open patisserie…read more It is typically super crowded her, so if you can find seating, count yourself lucky. I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. I haven't really tried their drinks. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. A beautiful space to enjoy, but pricey overall. Service is usually fine, not overly friendly but that is also due to being so busy that they need to move the lines quickly and efficiently. At Camarillo, the server was much more talkative and friendly because it wasn't crowded when I went.

Served with a warmed goat cheese crostini. No mention of melons it had a few slivers of strawberries. Overall taste not very good. Had my mom try it too she was unimpressed. She had the chicken salad. She said it was just chicken with mayo. The croissant was dry. The iced tea tasted like coffee unfortunately. The gentleman that delivered our food just plopped the plates down and walked away. No gluten free options only macaroons! First time at this location normally go to Camarillo and TO so I was expecting the same great food and service. There was a napkin on the ground directly under our table. The ledge by window was dirty! Just disappointing!

Things that I've ordered: - Beignets: these are freshly fried, light, crispy, and delicious. I love them with coffee - Homemade sausage patty breakfast: the homemade sausage tastes fresh and has the perfect amount of spice and seasoning. While they're known for their potatoes o'Brien, I really enjoy their crispy hashbrowns. The biscuit option is substantial and fluffy - Waffle: the Belgian waffle comes out crispy and delicious. I love when a restaurant waffle is nice and crispy.

However everything we ordered had such a great balance of flavors, and you could tell a lot of thought went into each dish. The Monte Cristo sandwich was hands down one of the highlights, perfectly toasted and packed with flavor. The Beignets were warm, light, and fluffy without being overly sweet, and the Lemon Blueberry Pancakes were soft, fresh, and had just the right amount of lemon to complement the blueberries. We also loved the house-made raspberry jam that came with the toast. It was fresh, flavorful, and honestly something I'd come back for on its own. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming, our server Joe was very helpful and knew when to make an entrance and when to let us eat and talk. This is the perfect brunch spot to catch up with friends. Definitely be back to try more of the "bold" menu itemS!

Our table was away from any cars so no car smell. They brought a bowl of water for the dog as soon as we were seated. Nice! Three of us shared the chicken fajita omelet ($20) and avocado toast ($14). The omelet was absolutely delicious! The omelet came with a side of macadamia pancakes. Two pancakes, stuffed with macadamia nuts and topped with bananas, whipped cream, and more macadamia nuts - one of the best pancakes I've had in a very long time and it was just a side dish for the terrific omelette. We got the avocado toast with a smoked salmon. (additional $7). Also excellent and that came with curly fries on the side, which were also extremely well done. Excellent service (thank you, Harriet), terrific food at a fair price, and delightful ambience on the patio. Terrific place for Sunday brunch.

When the food came out she approached from behind and said "here" slapping the plates down, never asking if we needed anything or paying attention to my daughter trying to ask for a refill. One of the cooks who was attempting to eat his lunch noticed the interaction and came over to refill her drink. The food was just ok, but the avocado toast which my daughter gets at most restaurants was 13.99 for 1 slice of toast and mashed avocado. It is definitely not what you typically get at a cafe. Once we needed the bill the waitress came by and dropped it off then disappeared again. I had to find a different waitress to ring us up. Would not recommend. Worst service I have had in the area to date.
