Dr. Doyle (very correctly!) determined that while I do have said skin condition, it also generally goes with another non skin related condition, which she had me tested for. I do have it, and it would have flown completely under the radar for (likely) years. I wouldn't have known to take preventive measures to keep those levels in check. I also trusted her to do a procedure on me, where she gave me upfront and honest feedback on what to expect from beginning to end, what to expect in terms of pain, recovery, complications, etc. And now I have the snatched jawline at 42 that I would have loved to have had at 22. She is the most wonderfully thorough, competent and truly lovely soul one could wish to meet. A million out of ten stars. The sincerest thank you to Dr Doyle for the amazing transformative work she has done on my skin. I am getting married in June of this year and thought I would see a dermatologist to help with my problematic skin. I had suffered from all kinds of acne for 20 years. I had terrible cystic acne in my teens and twenties that left horrendous scars. I had seen other dermatologists before and had intense treatments (CO2 laser treatment and Fraxel). I saw some improvements in texture and scarring, but the indentations were still visible and the surface of my skin looked very tight and dry. My review is based on the tear trough injections I received from Dr. Doyle. As a disclaimer, I am sure that the positive reviews are associated with the level of care and results from the dermatology expertise of Dr Doyle but readers and potential clients must know that dermatology and a skilled hand at injections are completely autonomous- and prior to coming to this office please be aware that many of the associated negative reviews are correlated to injections. I am someone who is well researched and educated about the purposes of tear trough injections, fillers in general, and botox. I came to Dr Doyle as I wanted to try a new office and had noticed positive reviews, unfortunately my negative experience is different and Ive noticed other negative experiences authored on this yelp page as well as Dr Russak dermatology which is the office Dr Doyle operates out of are primarily linked to dissatisfaction with injections. 1) The service and bedside manner were great. I have nothing negative to say about this. 2) I saw no positive improvement in my tear trough area- I actually have indentions in the area now as a result of misplaced injection. It looks no better off than before. 3) The procedure cost $950. Tear trough injections are meant to add volume to the area directly below and surrounding the bottom eyelid area as the aging process naturally reduces this region- the injections are often acquired to lessen dark shadowing of the undereyes, reduce bags, and add productive volume. When an unskilled or inexperienced doctor injects the area it can result in indentions and a concentration of the filler (juvederm, boletero, or restalyn are common options). I had very sever concentration and went to the doctor 2 days after to have it massaged, I also had a filler solution injections to make the filler more maleable. I was told that I needed two weeks to settle in which I patiently have done and I can say quite honestly there is no improvement whatsoever. Imagine going through time, pain, and financial commitment only to be left worse off than before. One response from the office may be "everyones body chemistry is different/you may need cheek injections as well". Do not listen to this. Medical trials are performed to ensure that the results of these injections are effective and safe. If a doctor or nurse advises that you need more injections or the body processed incorrectly they are simply protecting against negligible expertise. Lastly- if tear trough injections require cheek as well then doctors and offices should be prepared to explain this preliminarily and that results will be essentially non existent with just tear trough. Dr. Doyle is the best dermatologist I've been to. Not only is she knowledgeable about both medical dermatology and aesthetics, but she is also very approachable, professional, and caring. I first saw Dr. Doyle a few years ago for redness around the nose and chin, and she immediately knew that the two areas had different causes for the redness and required different treatments. She also has a fantastic understanding of Asian skin and the unique needs of it (e.g. during facials, she knows the maximum levels for the laser in order not to burn Asian skin). I've also seen Dr. Doyle for botox and fillers, and she clearly knows where to inject to maximize the desired effect while also keeping it natural looking. I really like that she knows where not to inject in order to prevent a heavy/overdone look because not all injectors do. Furthermore, it's great that Dr. Doyle truly cares about getting you the best end result--after every botox/filler procedure, she schedules a 2-week follow-up appointment with free touch ups if needed. Lastly, I appreciate that after every procedure (even if I've done it ten times before), her office will call me the next day to make sure I'm doing fine and to give me a chance to ask questions. I had a old chicken pox scar on my left cheek, it basically looked like a cigarette burn, which i thought was very distracting on my face. People would notice my scar and ask what happened. Following an initial analysis/consultation, she recommends a Patient Treatment Plan comprised of in-office procedures and homecare products customized for you. You then discuss with her and decide which procedures/products you would like to proceed with. She takes the time to answer all questions you have and explains in detail each recommendation in the Treatment Plan. She never pushes/pressures you towards anything...it's entirely up to you what you would like to do. As a matter of fact, she will recommend against procedures she does not feel are needed nor suited for you (e.g., I went in primarily for PRP microneedling, and she told me I did not need that, as I was looking to just smooth out fine lines & lift pigmentation). Instead, we proceeded with Clear+Brilliant, which yielded amazing results just after the first treatment (pigmentation was significantly lifted/lightened & skin looked glowing/refreshed)! She is very careful, detailed, and delicate with all procedures...giving you a natural, "refreshed" look. Also, Dr. Doyle tries out all procedures on herself (without numbing!) so she knows exactly what each treatment entails and how it feels first-hand. I had botox injection in February. went for a follow up in 10 days since it didn't seem it fully worked. after one month, I went again because I still see all the lines in my forehead. Dr. Doyle said that it didn't hold and she gave me a complimentary boost to "soften the lines" as she put it because she would not do that for free in general. I explained that it didn't work to start with so why is she making me feel as if she's doing me a favor??? to make a long story short, the injection never fully worked as I can still see the lines!!! $1,200 down the drain. read more
