The food was delicious and the service was great. Only thing that ruined the experience was the Owner visiting with a table and sharing their extreme political views. One lady started talking about Mexican Immigrants crossing the border. She said, "they should just line'em and shoot'em!" Another man at the table said, "if the elections fair, trump will win...." I understand you're a private business but it's not good business to make your guest uncomfortable. I don't recommend coming here and it's a damn shame that there can be such hate and ignorance at such a delicious restaurant. read more

Hands down, best Italian food I've ever had... and we dine out a lot. We drove by often because it's in a dark corner of a strip mall. Meh.. However, truly pull your car over and go!! The husband and wife came from Italy, the food is soooo packed full of flavor; each plate that came out kept getting better. We had the pesto chicken tortellini and the chicken tasted bbq'd, little pine nuts in the pesto (real small). So good! Chicken Marsala - such a great wine sauce over that. Went here with a party of 8 to celebrate a birthday. In a word, "Wow". The service was great. And the food, oh my, the food. We wound up getting 8 different main courses and I got to taste a few of them. Delicious. Everyone was thrilled with their meal which all came with a small fresh salad. For desert we shared a few orders of tiramisu and cannoli. I'm not sure which one I liked best. A bottle of wine, 8 entrees, 4 desserts - $425. No compaints. read more

I cannot believe we never had been here before because we loved everything about this neighborhood gem! You definitely need a reservation because by 6 pm there isn't an empty chair & it's easy to see why. The old Italian grandma vibe welcomes you and feels like a hug from nonna the entire visit! Our server Joe was fantastic and turns out Michelina is his mom, who by the way is adorable and visits everyone once her kitchen is quiet. The food was fantastic and authentic with great ingredients. We had 2 of the specials and they were amazing. Also loved the lasagne and meatballs. We also tried the grilled shrimp and stuffed mushrooms which we highly recommend those for starters. I invited a few friends and family members to celebrate my birthday. We all had an awesome time! We started with the appetizers- fried calamari, escargot, and the la caprese. For the main course, I had the jumbo pasta shells with stuffed spinach and ricotta. I just loved my dish. All the others in the group were very pleased with their selections. For the birthday cake, we all had tiramisu. It is the best that I have ever had as a dessert. Michelina even came out to say hello and sing happy birthday with the group. I think this place has been here for a long time, but we didn't know about it. Just happened to come across when googling good Italian restaurants in Phoenix. The location is not what you would expect, in a dumpy shopping center. Sort of a hole in the wall. The ambience is nice when you walk in and it was pretty crowded. The service was great, our waiter was nice. The food was ok. It tasted good, was hoping for a fresh, homemade pasta taste but it wasn't. The chicken Parmigiana was also ok. We have had better. I think it was a nice place to try and would consider coming again, but to be honest, we have had better Italian food elsewhere. read more

Heard about this place from a friend. This place was packed. It's a teeny tiny sit down Italian place with such cute decor. We dressed up a little and had ourselves an early valentines date here. Service is friendly but a bit on the slow size. 4 mins for them to bring my husband a coke that's 10 steps away from the bar to us. Uhh okay that's fine. Salad that came with entree was okay. Tasted a bit like Caesar dressing and I am a vegetarian, so I didn't eat the rest of it. Still don't know the what the house made vinaigrette dressing was, hoping it was just mustardy and that I am too paranoid. Bread was good that they gave the table, warm and kept its warmth until our entire arrived. My husband loved his fettuccine Alfredo, tasted fresh and didn't sit in the stomach heavy either. Amazing! I had the eggplant parmigiana, the tomato sauce was VERY good. The eggplant was interesting. A gooey and squishy mess. Maybe that's the traditional way, I was expecting some crispiness to it. Tasted fine and like battered cheesy eggplant. At least it didn't taste oily. The pasta was light and fresh though. I would certainly come back here but I would get something else. Hidden gem. We came over to pick up a parcel and found this wonderful Italian Mecca. They graciously found a spot for us even though it was busy and we didn't have a rez. Joe was an awesome waiter who explained every dish and managed all our questions with ease. The waiters and bus boys worked in symphony with no one waiting on anything. The eggplant parm was to die for. The salad dressing I sopped up with my bread. And the after dinner gift of Michelinas kiss was perfect. We took a tira misu to go for dessert at home. Very comfortable and inviting, the staff takes care of y9our every need. Wonderful setting for evening of great food. A first time customer, we went there on a Saturday night and before the evening was over we cancelled another restaurant reservation and made a second one to come back the following Tuesday with friends.
