This was one of our go-to destinations for a nice pizza until lately. The customer service has seemed to decline off late with they "forgetting" to provide crushed red pepper and grated Parmesan cheese with a pizza order. The second last time we ordered, we reminded them for it only to get a response that they "always" provide them with pizza orders and no additional request was necessary. Today it happened again, despite a reminder from us while placing the order. Same response - "we always provide them"... and guess what - the pizza was delivered without red pepper or grated cheese packets! Disappointing!!! read more

We've been going to this Mici's since they opened and we joined Bladium in 2012. While there have been a few times where our orders were mixed up, overall it's a great place to grab a pizza, especially with kids. I love the giardino pizza. Have been wanting to try this place since they opened. Went there for dinner with a couple people. I liked my pasta and liked that they gave us what seemed to be a good deal of bread. The portions seemed large to me. Atmosphere wise, there were a lot of families there with kids and the place was loud with all the commotion. Eventually, the families left and it was nice. I'd say the seating was too basic and close. Not a lot of privacy. We had pizza eating kids watching us a couple feet away for about half the dinner. I like kids too, but there should be some space. I can see how this is a popular place to take kids for a pizza given all the families in the neighborhood. Lot closer than Anthony's for families. If you're looking for a calmer atmosphere, maybe come nearer closing, like 8, or go earlier in the day. I returned another night to try the gelato. Really enjoyed the gelato in Italy and wanted to try theirs. I got the lemon. It was ok, but there was something not right about it... not sure how to explain it best... had a thickened taste, like something had been added to thicken it. And there was a soft, coagulated portion in it, so not sure what that was about. I spit that out. If you've made stove top pudding before, and the issues with crust-like formations in it, it was sort of like that. Wasn't worth the price in my opinion. The service here was friendly and down to earth. They have a Noodles & Company style set up, where you order the food from a cashier and they bring it to your table. This is one of the best places for a casual lunch or dinner that is within a reasonable drive of North Aurora/ Far Northeast Denver where the dining options are otherwise lacking. I have been eating at Mici's in Stapleton since it opened, I am finally getting around to writing a review. Mici's is not fancy but the food is really pretty good. My favorites are the Caesar salad, the calzones and the gelato. They deliver in the area and my orders have always been on time and correct. At the restaurant they have two patios, which is nice because the acoustics inside make it pretty noisy. I love supporting this place and they make it easily with calzones the size of a calzone (Italian for pant leg), and some outstandingly unique pizzas I love the Digirolomo an olive oil base pizza, the lloro carne calzone is great to split with a friend, date or significant other. This place was an unexpected gem on our visit to Denver! It is actually a walk up and order restaurant, but the food quality was far from fast food. We ordered a variety of things; bruschetta, Caesar salad, lasagna, pesto pasta, and gelato. The creamy pesto pasta was outstanding. The proportion of cream to pesto was on point; the cream was just enough, not overpowering. The garlic bread was thin with olive oil used instead of butter. Service was at best o.k. Pizza toppings seemed fresh but as with most pizza's the pizza had a wet/damp crust after I had just finished 1 slice. I've had pizza all over the U.S. and know it's possible for the crust to remain like crust and not like wet dough. I wouldn't go back even if it was free. read more

Read great reviews, ordered pasta dishes in the past and was super excited to try their pizza. We ordered a specialty pizza with extra toppings and two salads. Our pizza arrived cold, without the extra toppings we paid for and in a mangled mess as if the driver drop kicked it all the way here! There's not even enough cheese or sauce on the pie to cover the crust. We paid $35 for a piece of bread with about 10 pieces of various toppings. Will never order from here again, there's some really great places to eat around here and Mici isn't one of them!! I guess that's what you get for tipping in advance. Lesson learned! read more

This is a review of the Stapleton location. I've enjoyed the other locations in the past and never experienced a problem. Tonight, I ordered two personal pizzas online. Went to pick up and was told we had about 8-10 minutes to wait. No problem!! Ten minutes later, a staff person approached to inform me that they made one of the pizzas wrong, did I just want to take it? Ummmm. No. I want the pizza I ordered. Wait another 15 minutes (declined the glass of wine offered). Pizzas come out with half hearted apology and an extra box - with the "mistake" pizza. Didn't want it as a substitute -still don't! Unfortunately, my pizza with artichoke hearts had more of a sprinkling of artichoke heart parts. Straight-from-the-can black olives and barely ripe tomatoes in September? Not hand-crafted Italian in my book. The crust is decent, if a little heavy on the oil. I understand mistakes happen - but 40 minutes for two small mediocre pizzas?? Not again. We will stick to Allegra's Pizza - their friendly service and top quality ingredients are well worth the extra two minutes in the car!! UPDATE: The owner contacted me and apologized for the experience and offered either a refund or gift certificate. I understand a bad night can happen and hope this will be a good opportunity to train staff to react better in the future! CHEERS! read more

First of all, let me start by saying Mici was one of my go-to spots. I had tried both of their other locations and enjoyed it for the combination of price, quality and convenience. When I worked downtown, I would order from that location quite often if I was in the office late (the calzones always hit the spot). That being said, I was excited when I found out there was a Mici location going in only one block from my house! I finally went there the other day and got exactly what I expected, fairly good food at a reasonable price that was ready when they said it would be. I also realized they had gelato there (one of my favorites), which I hadn't noticed at the other locations (guess I wasn't looking close enough), and was excited to come back and try the various flavors. Overall, I would normally give Mici 3-4 starts. The food isn't amazing, but it is good. HOWEVER, when I ordered from Mici this time, I carried out my order. Because of this I didn't leave a tip (I don't tip when I carry out, I know some people will disagree with this, but you have to draw the line somewhere). When the purchase from that night posted on my credit card, I noticed the staff at Mici had added a 15% tip to the total. This was after I had put a line through the tip line and written the original amount on the total line of the receipt. Because of this lack of integrity and respect for their customers, I will not be going back to Mici ever again. Take it for what you will, but I refuse to support an establishment that operates in this manner. EDIT: After posting this review, one of the owners of Mici contacted me stating that the added tip was an employee error between my receipt and another of the same amount. I have never worked in the restaurant industry, so I have no idea how easy or difficult it is to make this mistake. Either way, the owner was very apologetic and ended up refunding the entire charge from that night. I very much appreciate the follow-up and will most likely now be returning at some point in the future. read more

My family and I have been going on Monday nights, mainly because kids eat free. Sometimes we have had over 10 people with us, so we have been very good customers. However, tonight my wife and I decided to order soup and salad, but told us that that would not include any kids free meals. We had to get an "entree" meal to qualify. When I told them that the soup and salad combined cost more than any "entree" they just said sorry, it's not how it works here. It also seems the quality of the ingredients has declined as well, and the issue tonight has put us over the edge and we will no longer be a customer of Mici. read more

I used to really like Mici... And, I don't love any pizza in Denver! Mici has increasingly become worse at customer service. Not getting orders correct. Omitting add ins, like bread and salad dressing. Delivery can take over an hour, so I did pick up last night and had to stand in line with 5 or so other people waiting for pick up too!
