However, it was a little oily for my personal taste and the bread was a little too soft, but that might have been due to the fact we ordered it for delivery and the oil could have seeped into the bread by the time it got here even if it is a 10 minute drive. The pasta was not well made. There was hardly any sauce at all and the it was definitely underdone. I was definitely looking forward to it due to the pictures because it seemed delicious but it was incredibly dry with little to no taste. Four stars for overall experience, Taste and for quality of calzone bread and pesto sauce. They have almost everything you could ask for. Three stars because there's only three pasta choices: spaghetti, penne or bow tie. Three stars because you order at a super small counter which is also where the wall menu is. You will bump into other people who want to order or bump into the gelato line. Three stars because you only go if you eat pork, chicken or vegetables. There's no meat sauce with just beef or other non pork lasagna option. The owner is great with suggestions but has a skeptical of you and your Italian food knowledge type of personality. Lol yeah. I ordered : white bean soup. Not bad but could've passed. The calzone was fire dot com or delicious and perfect if you are clueless to that meaning lol. Was very satisfied but still only wanted fettuccine but was suggested gross spaghetti as a comparative. Which if you know great pasta then you'll understand why theySHOULD HAVE fettuccine. The Alfredo or white sauce, red sauce and pesto were all fantastic and fresh and none were heavy!...another reason to have fettuccine over spaghetti. Gelato was creamy and mini canoli was not overly sweet. Once we sat down to eat all this food, the atmosphere and service was on point! Sorry to update this from 5 stars to 3. The delivery guy was super nice and they gave me a full refund after I asked for it. As much as I wanted to believe that my experience tonight was due to an isolated "freak" incident of a having too few staff on a busy Sunday night, this is my 3rd experience over the last four months where I waited well over an hour for my order. The food is usually really good which is why I kinda just make the slow delivery work. Tonight was especially bad as I waited almost 2 hours to receive my food. I did call btw. I always give businesses a chance to explain. When I called the 1st time to see where the order was, it was 65 min from when I ordered. I heard her say order 93 needs to go out the door. I waited another 20 minutes so now it was 85 minutes from order time and called again. This time I received an apology and a promise that she would tell her manager and see what they could do. She said you should receive the food any minute. I didn't. It arrive soggy and cold and basically inedible 1 hour and 48 minutes from the moment I ordered or another 23 minutes from my last call. You can see from the picture my calzone is soggy on the bottom. I called immediately after opening the box. Was put on hold again. A manager answered. I explained that my food arrived inedible. She didn't apologize. I had to ask for a refund since one was not offered. If the food had arrived edible and the manager had apologized, I probably would not have lowered my initial review. I will not be ordering again as this is my 3rd experience of very slow delivery. Crazy busy I understand, but inedible food combined with a no offer of refund. Not so much. read more

Location is convenient for me, right in my hood close to my doggie daycare place. I ordered the tortellini with prosciutto de parma and peas I think with a side Cesar Salad to start. The Cesar Salad was the best thing I had not including the water. It was lightly dressed and had fresh Parmesan shaved on top, I added some pepper and I was one happy girl. Then the tortellini, frozen or refrigerated pasta from King Soopers in a bland cream sauce. The prosciutto did not taste or look fresh at all and overall the whole thing lacked flavor. I only ate about 1/4 of my pasta and left disappointed. But what I can tell you is this: the Palermo Panini on foccacia bread is hands down the best sandwich I've ever eaten in my life!! It's melt-in-your mouth savory, the veggies add the perfect hint of bitterness, and the bread soaks up a wonderful extra virgin olive oil that lingers after the sandwich has been devoured. The other out-of-this-world, ridiculously delicious item at Mici's are the pignoli cookies. They are sweet without being too sweet, moist, soft, and made savory by the pine nuts on top. They are very pricey at $1 apiece, but worth every single penny. I typically order 6-12 to savor over the week. Prices are very reasonable for the size and quantity you get. Yes, it's an $8 sandwich, but half will fill you up and leave you impatiently waiting until enough time has passed that you can justify eating the second half as another meal. Delivery has always been prompt and typically accurate. The only time they made a mistake they admitted it proactively and corrected it right away. Try out Mici's. We placed an order online after a day of traveling, ordering three calzones, Margherita, Giardino and the Cristofori. Of the three, we liked the Giardino best. The Cristofori seemed to be a bit light on the filling, especially the chicken. (The pesto seemed to be absent). The marinara sauce was quite good and the garlic bread was tasty. As we live in New York, we are rather picky about our pizza dough, and feel that it could have been lighter and a bit more crispy. The order was ready on time and the staff were friendly and polite. We were looking for an affordable place to eat, wanted Italian and stumbled upon this place On-line. It has much better reviews on Google than Yelp, FYI. I was half expecting an Anthony's quality, but hoping the reviews and their website held up to the promise of more. When we rolled up, there was only one table filled on a Saturday night. That typically does not bode well for most restaurants. I tend to go where the crowds are. Long story short, I'm really glad we walked in. The staff was very helpful and good natured. We ordered Caesar salads, a panini, lasagna and canollis. It's a counter serve restaurant, and expected all our food to be brought out to us all at once. Surprisingly, they timed each course to arrive at our table one at a time, allowing us plenty of time to finish each course before bringing the next. A+ there! The food was just incredible for the price. The salads were impeccably fresh, crisp and dressed absolutely perfectly. That says a lot right there. Too many restaurants fail miserably with over dressing their salads or letting limp or turned lettuce to remain in the salad. In fact, I had just eaten at another Italian restaurant recently, where my individual meal cost more than double what we paid for two at Mici's, and their Caesar was an absolute disgrace compared to Mici's. The lasagna was at least as good as any I've had at many "up-scale" restaurants. My fiancée's panini was very delicious, made with very ripe and beautiful produce. For ~$30 for two, I feel like Mici's was selling their food for a discount. The value is almost unbeatable. When I came to pick up my pizzas on my second visit the manager on duty informed me they made my pizza wrong. She immediately offered to comp the entire order for me (I ordered 3 pizzas) and even gave me a voucher for a free menu item on my next visit. So I had to wait another 15 minutes while they remade one of my pizzas but it was worth it. The pizzas were amazing and the manager went out of her way to make it right. My wife found Mici while we were visiting Denver. I wasn't way excited because it looked a bit like a chain restaurant to me, but I was very wrong. The food was exceptionally good. I got some kind of red sauce that had red pepper in it, and it was very flavorful. I was impressed. We had to wait awhile, but it was worth it in my opinion. I was expecting Noodle & Company quality, but it wasn't even close. Mici was 10x better than Noodles & Co or any other Italian noodles chain. The garlic bread was top notch as well. We of course had to get gelato as we left, and that was fantastic as well. My only complaint was the price. It's definitely sit-down restaurant prices ($10.50 for a base pasta, and more like $13.50 if you wan to add chicken). That doesn't come with a salad either. So you're looking at around $15/person if you want a full meal with salad, pasta, and a drink. For two people, we spent around $35. Not horrible, but seemed overpriced since you don't have a waiter or anything. However, I shrugged off the price since the food was so good. read more

I want to love Mici but in the past year or so it's become hit or miss. Our order is typically a pizza and the Rosa pasta. Often times the pasta doesn't have enough sauce, but when it has enough sauce and the chunks of tomatoes, it's amazing.
