Great selection of work boots. Had lots of sizes to try on. Got great boots. Then got some carhart pants. Will go back

Nice selection of menswear and work boots, but nothing really "knocked my socks off" today, lol. Prices seemed a bit on the high side, can't say I'd run down to Mickey Finn's again anytime soon, because it's a ways from where I live. But if you're local, might want to check it out.

Mickey Finn's has a great selection of (mainly) men's outdoor clothing and shoes. This is a good place to go for law enforcement/security who need work boots- and also work boots for construction or other rugged jobs. There is also a large selection of outerwear such as hiking boots. They have a good selection of boots, gloves, sweaters, and shoes. The young girls they have working as cashiers sometimes are clueless and put off. (This is the building on the right side) The building to the left side has an enormous selection! There are even more items inside of this store and they have a cute selection for kids (great gift ideas and prices for kids.) We got our nephew the cutest John Deere backpack that he is obsessed with here. Overall a pretty solid place to shop.

I love this store for it's selection of outdoor and athletic clothing and shoes -- even some dressy women's sandals, too.

I bought the coat too large bc they didn't have my size, and after alterations it fit perfectly. Like, better than if I had just gotten my normal size in the first place (I often find my arms are too long for smaller sizes anyway). The tailoring was super fast, on time, and a fair price. I was so happy I ended up bringing my "ugly" thrift store coat there also (previously an XXL) and it fits so well now I can actually wear it out!

We get there about 5 and was told the owner (?) sent the seamstress home early because "she's 81 and needs sleep" so okay... fine. We go back on Saturday when he said she would be there, which she was. My husband puts the jacket on and I put on the dress. The seamstress looks at my husband's jacket and refuses to work on it because it was a bit big and she said there was nothing she could do. The owner (?) who was there then proceeded to make my husband try on jackets that were too small and when my husband said they were too small and did not fit properly, the owner said "well I know. I just wanted you to see what this looked like "... but why?? The seamstress moves onto me and looks me up and down then asks what I want. I needed some padding taken out of the chest, a shorter hem as it was about 6inches too long even with my heels on, and a little more cut on the slit of the dress. Nothing crazy. She literally refused every. single. thing. She told me that I should not have bought the dress offline (like I had a choice, that's where the bride picked for us to get our dresses), refused to take the padding out of the dress, despite the padding not being in the correct place and making me look like I had 4 boobs, said that the dress is "supposed to be flowy and is so beautiful at the bottom so I shouldn't get it hemmed" (even though it was obviously ridiculously too long and I would trip trying to walk in it), and just flat out told me no to having more of a slit cut. She told me I should have ordered a bigger dress and then the pads would fit, but the dress itself fits me perfectly and I dont need anything taken in at all, but insisted I needed bigger. Then said "you buy a bigger dress then come in here and I'll help you" YEA RIGHT like I would ever ever ever ever give them my time and money. I don't know how they are still open. I would never recommend anyone to go here for anything.

After the Avon location just closed (although it will be moved and reopened to a nearby smaller location), they were down to just two. So as of right now, the only Bob's stores still standing are in Newington and Manchester. We visited Newington for the first time yesterday, and we had a very favorable impression. The store is big and bright and neat as a pin. Truth be told, the place looked gorgeous. Not a jersey or pair of sweatpants was out of place. My wife was looking for a pair of sneakers, and found a nice pair for under $50. I was in the market for a plain white T Shirt for an upcoming Tie Dye project, and I found a very nice one on a markdown rack for like $6. The store has sales everywhere, so if you are patient and look around carefully you can do very well here. I think we sure did.

Wearing her mask incorrectly, chomping on gum, I made a separate transaction than my husband and didn't even get a have a good day. My husband went to put in his rewards and she'd already rung up his order. My husband said ok, well can you retroactively give me my rewards and she said she'd have to totally re ring everything up. Obviously that wasn't going to happen so my husband said yeah, no, guess I'm missing out. To which she then said (and I quote) Jesus Christ it was just a mistake. As she chomped on her gum some more. I certainly hope she's not being transferred to a different location because Bob's will be losing our business. Oh. And we bought almost $400 worth of merchandise.

As someone who's been counting down to the World Cup, it was awesome to see so many options in one place. I also appreciated how easy it was to find what I needed. Checkout was quick, and I walked out with a couple of great pieces to rep my team.

I circled the whole store, several times in search of one of those Kiosk machines, where you scan the item or you type it in, you can order it, with fast and free shipping. They don't have this kiosk machine. I finally came across a sales associate and I asked them if they could order the leggings for me, or direct me towards a store that has them in stock, she said no, they can't do that. I think my request was as basic as they come. What type of customer service is this? If you happen to go to Kohl's, currently all items with a yellow tag, are an additional 30% off. There's baby items, home items, kids items, kitchen gadgets, plenty of Easter decor. Keep an eye out on your email and your mail, for coupons. This Kohl's also has a Sephora.
