If first impressions are all that, then Mick's isn't, cause my first impression was meh. The ambience is noisy and 2000s shopping center chic, while the food is over spiced, but reasonably priced. I tried the steak empanadas (meh), and my companion had a Caesar Salad (meh). We'll try again. read more

The birria pizza had a great kick, and I really liked the variety of lemonades on the menu. Service: Service was a bit slow, but they were clearly busy. Our server was kind and attentive when he could be, which made up for the wait. Atmosphere: The patio seating was a highlight. It was spacious, comfortable, and overlooking a lake where folks were on walks with their dogs and families which was just nice to watch. Tried 3 different locations on a variety of occasions. Overpriced, sub par & underwhelming food. It's noisy and just not welcoming. There are too many other local places that are flavorful, have nice atmosphere where you feel welcome, and the prices are reasonable. The one positive is their craft beer selection but you can find that in many other places that also have awesome food. Support some of the smaller local brew pubs and you will be amazed at the quality, atmosphere and prices. The small guys go all out and truly do appreciate you. read more

This is the first time I've been to Mick's and it was good! The service was great and not as slow as I expected. I ordered the Caesar Salad with no chicken (I'm not vegan) and it was pretty good, although I forgot to ask for no cheese. The ambiance was very nice and the music was nice. Would come again. Not very gluten friendly. No gluten menu actually, no allergy designations on the menu at all. We asked the waitress. This caused a-lot of back and forth with the waitstaff and the kitchen. We will not repeat and will pass the word. It's a bit odd in 2025 for a restaurant with 4 locations. Sierra in Willow Street was great though. She got you the star. Mick i did get your reply and appreciate it. The issue is not the wait staff, thats a cop out. It's management. Go out to eat elsewhere and you'll see your competitors put allergy labels on their menus. It's that simple. Print it once and save everyone the hassle. Including your staff. read more

Overall things are well done at this place. Bar seems to have a larger # of regulars. But bartenders and waitresses are attentive and informative. Food is on the modern pub style, and maybe a tad salty on the boneless wings. But they make a very good burger and have a variety of apps that are mostly good. read more

I go there a couple of times a month and I've never had a bad time there. The food is always great and I have something different from the menu each time. The manager of the facility even goes as far as making my peach martini personally and bringing it over to my table. That shows the type of place this is. This place is nasty. Sorry but, the food was thrown together by someone with a blindfold on. Overcooked veggies, chips from the bottom of the bag, burgers ($16) served on fake popcorn buttered rolls with cheap battered fries and raw mushrooms. "French onion" ($6) soup came in a soup cup. Why? Crock or nothing. Pretty basic menu item imo. Crab corn soup cup ($8?) was thick as cement and featured 0.5 oz of cheap grey backfin meat. Nasty. Looked pretty lively for the drinking/bar scene but please avoid the food. We ate at 4:00 or so and i was unable to eat again til dinner time the next day. This chain needs a Quality Audit asap. If you want to under-execute and hire cheap talent, fine, but price your menu accordingly. The ROI was not there. Our server was great, that was enough to keep us from feeling totally burned. The food was "meh," service was a healthy portion of "meh," and even the presentation of the food was complete "meh." So, if you want cheap, "meh" level food and service, this is the spot. Went out with the family for a nice dinner on Friday evening Jan 6th, 2023. I ordered the 18 dollar meatloaf platter. They feature a picture of it on their website and it looked like good comfort food (See attached picture). It came out looking like two slivers of dried up, frozen tasting, cold nasty meatloaf. No gravy, a black, burnt, hard, dried up piece of bacon that was smaller than my pinkie and crumbled like a chip when I touched it (See 2nd attached picture). I ask to talk to the manager. Devin came out and ask what the problem was and I said; Just look, It's cold and nasty with no edible bacon and no gravy. She said, "it's portioned in the kitchen and the bacon must have fallen off" then offered to give me a free dessert! I was shocked and instantly said no thank you! She just said "ok", turned away and said "Enjoy!" Her attitude was worse than my food! REALLY? For what it's worth, the food the rest of my party had was decent. read more

Like call the health department bad. -Ribeye was cold and raw (ordered medium-rare), -Brussels sprouts were rotten, a dull gray color and smelled like vinegar. -Salad was soggy and the leaves were browning. -Wings were half pieces of a drum or a flat I paid for my beer and wings. Tipped the bartender 25% because it was not her fault. I understand these are difficult times with staffing but there is zero excuse for rotten food and poorly cooked food. Consistently terrible. The harvest salad had severely over cooked chicken that was dry, chewy, and a little charred. The warm bacon dressing tasted like mostly sugar, the spinach was fresh but it tasted weird like dirt. It was like chewy dirt and sugary syrup. I couldn't eat it. My husband loves the pizza but I told him we need to stop coming here. It's just awful every single time. They need to axe about half the menu and focus on making better stuff instead of a lot of stuff. read more

Server was great. Booths are enormous and comfy. Ordered fish and chips w/ Caesar side salad and a nacho appetizer. Exposed chips on the nacho platter were burnt black. Fries saturated and soggy leaking the brown (burnt) fryer oil. Fish was not flaky. Instead, it was mushy from being old, overcooked, saturated or all of the above. Fryer oil was obviously old, unfiltered and burnt as evidenced above. Lettuce was wilted and soggy. Croutons were spot on. Recommendation is to fill up on the beer and croutons. read more

We stopped here on our way home from Hershey, PA and it was amazing! Every single one of the staff, from the hostess, to the waitress to the food runners were so incredibly nice. Ashley was our waitress and her smile never left her face. She made recommendations once we told her it was our first time there, even hinting the crab bisque had a little kick when I ordered it. She was spot on. My sons chicken quesadilla was jam packed with chicken and cheese, he loved it. My husband had the wings and they were perfectly cooked, he's very picky about his wings. I had the aforementioned crab and corn bisque and it came with a huge amount of crab on top. It did have a kick, too much for me so I couldn't eat much of it. When I mentioned this to Ashley, just commenting about how she was right about the spice, she immediately offered to take it off the bill without even me asking (I wasn't going to, just confirming she was right). The food runners brought out all of the food quickly and were super polite. It wasn't too crowded at 8pm on a Saturday night but the vibe was casual and relaxed. Tables are super long as to probably accommodate large parties for trivia nights and such. All in all, a great place to eat and hang out. Will definitely keep this place in mind then next time we are in the area! read more

This is a new location for this local chain. Industrial chic meets the southern end in design; a nice addition to Willow Street. This restaurant has been hopping since it opened. The outdoor bar has a nice view of the pond and is a unique feature. The fresh cut fries were good- just needed a little salt. The chicken fajita was good - just needed a little spice (salsa, hot sauce options). And the chili lime steak sandwich was good except the bun was too big for the volume of meat...the onions are raw (more of an FYI). The menu could be redesigned to match this location. Overall we were pleased, will be back, and happy for a decent restaurant (with an alcohol option) at this location. Welcome Mick's. read more

Come on...dressing was runny...I tried to choke it down but it just sucked. Pictures are what I ate, bartender asked if it was ok and I told her it was just bad...she didn't seem surprised. The guy next to me was a regular and said he knew Mick but didn't have the heart to tell him his food wasn't any good. He had a cheesesteak, just onions and he said it was ok and the fries were good. Crab pretzel melt was very small for the price of 14 bucks and used cheap (backfin/gray) crabmeat. We are spoiled by MD ones I guess. Drinks were ok (Strong) but portion size not in a typical margarita goblet more like a skinny highball glass which is odd. We split a stromboli and it was small but tasted fine. read more

This was our third takeout order from the restaurant but the first time ordering the "Crab and Corn Bisque". More like crab and cream corn slop. I think they opened up a can of no name creamed corn. Sprinkled a pinch (and I do mean pinch) of crab (faux?) meat on top. Maybe added something like old bay or Tabasco to try and spice it up. All this amounted to a glob of pasty, floury small bowlful of goop. You should really be embarrassed to call this bisque. And to add insult to injury, charge $7.00 per serving. I've bought better crab and corn bisque at Giant. 32 oz for about 1/2 the price you're charging for something that tastes like children's paste. Shameful. Wish I didn't have to give this one star. As a follow up to my review, I saw a picture of the bisque posted by another patron (Tina C - three months ago). Not sure what happened since then but my soup looked NOTHING like her photo. About a third of the amount of crab and much more corn in a very pasty, bland, floury tasting "bisque". Must have substituted more corn to offset for the lack of crab. Or have you changed your supplier? Or reduced your standards? Have a new cook that really doesn't know what bisque is? I really wish I would have taken a photo to show everyone how really awful this presentation was. My bad. read more

Terrible. It's the 10th inning of the Phillies astors World Series and the "sports" bar closes down at 11pm. We were here for a wedding and the after prt ended up here. Took my mother here for her birthday dinner last week. She lives in that area and we wanted to go somewhere more upscale than the pizza joints that are in abundance in this area. She's never been to Mick's and was excited to try them. I have been to the other locations, while they're not a favorite of mine they're not horrible. Inside we were seated promptly. Mom wanted a well lit, booth style table due to her vision and back issues. We were seated at these gigantic booths that could easily seat 6 people or more ON EACH SIDE! I thought it was a poor design choice to have so many of these large booths when they could accommodate more people with more tables for smaller parties. The interior was clean and modern. Mom wanted an entree and ordered a chicken dish with salad and veggies. It was colorful and looked to be cooked and seasoned well. She wasn't offered her choice of salad dressing and was served ranch, which was fine, but had it been me I would have preferred a choice. She was happy with her meal overall with the exception of the lemon flavoring overpowering some of the other flavors. I ordered a trio of sliders; a cheeseburger, blt, and crab cake + an order of fries. I was leary of the spicy aoli for the crab cake being too spicy so I requested it be on the side. It turned out to have just the right amount of heat and was a great compliment to the delicious hand cut fries. I thought it paired better with them than with the crab cake it was intended for. The crab cake was too soft and had the texture of tuna salad. I would have liked for it to have some texture. Both the burger and blt were completely dry. The burger had nothing on it, not even a slither of lettuce, and was hard and flavorless like a hockey puck. I asked for mayo since the other two sliders were bone dry. Imagine my surprise when I was charged .75 for a condiment! They didn't even give me the heads up that there would be a charge!! Our waitress was new but provided ok service. When I asked if there was any specials for someone celebrating their birthday she had to inquire. I was disappointed that nothing is offered. As with the other Mick's locations there's some positives; in this case the delicious fries and aoli as well as misses - pretty much everything else. While I wouldn't refuse to go there in the future if invited, this location or any of their others would not be my first choice and the slider trio I wouldn't order again. read more

I've been here three different times since they've opened back up and each time is the same. Very poor service with servers who could care less. Today, July 26, I got here at 5 pm. Was greeted promptly at the host stand and they took me to my seat. I sat down and watched the servers and bar manager go outside and fight with the ducks. I watched my server walk by me to see what was going on outside. It was about three minutes from the time I was seated until my server "got" back to me. When she did she asked "how can I help you?" No welcome to micks, No my name is..., nothing. Just " how can I help you?" I wanted an ipa, so she slides her beer list to me. I ordered my beer and watch her walk away into the kitchen. I see my beer poured and wait about three minutes for my server to come out of the kitchen to serve my beer. Ordered a burger and was brought out by a food runner in about 15 minutes. I haven't seen or heard from my server since I ordered. I eat half my burger when she walks up and asks how everything was. It was just ok. I ordered another beer. After seeing it sit at the bar for 10 minutes, I had to walk up to the bar to get it. I tried really hard to like Micks, as it's close to me, but I refuse to spend money where I'm not appreciated. The service is bad and the food is just OK. Not worth the money or the hassle. I couldn't even get the server to clean up my table. At all. read more
