The staff that worked the night of 8/27/22 needs to learn to treat people the way that they want to be treated and this was definitely NOT the case for us!My niece got married that day and her parents called weeks/months in advance to be sure that there would be adequate staffing so that we could continue to celebrate the lovely day that it was. Instead, we were treated as though we were imposing on them! We came in to Mick's ready for a fun evening and the service was super slow, the staff was rude and I cannot believe how they treated the bride and groom and their family and friends on their wedding day! 2nd chance disappointment. We were long time guests at Mick's on Columbia Ave. Our first experience with the newly opened Mick's in Willow Street was with a large group we brought in for their first trip to Mick's and it was quite disappointing for 6 of our 12 guests! Luckily the servers/bartenders were great and very personable. Tonight my wife and I wanted to give it a try again and it was even more disappointing than the first time. After almost an hour wait for a chili lime and French dip sandwiches they had to be the driest and least filled sandwiches I have had in a long time. Hopefully they get some QC in the kitchen soon to look over food before send it out to customers. My wife's sandwich literally had 3 pieces of meat on it!!! read more

I had a club sandwich that had the bread "toasted" in oil, and there was a crab dip or something that went with pita that was disgusting both in texture, and warmed over with a kind of not fresh tasting. If I could leave 0 stars that would be my rating. Service horrible, food- bad Coffee delivered with no cream or sugar and the waiter never returned. Had to steal from another table . We came in from out of town late on a Sunday night and were really happy to find a place still open. We had a nice time here! The service was quick and friendly, even though it was getting later. As far as the food, some of what we got was great and some was more average. None of it was bad. We got "Old Charlie" style wings that were really tasty. Nice and crispy, delicious seasoning blend. The bleu cheese tasted homemade. We also had Buffalo chicken dip which was very tasty, big chunks of chicken rather than shredded, tons of cheese, and great flavor. Our side salads had a spring mix base, which I like a lot as opposed to iceberg or romaine. They did have more shredded cheese than I like on a salad, but that is just my personal taste. The meatloaf dinner was delicious and very generously portioned. The only thing I didn't care for much was the chili - the menu just said beans, peppers, and cheese, but it was mostly beef with no broth at all. More like a ground beef casserole that what I think of as chili. But, it was the end of the night, also, so I would try it again earlier in the day. The pita chips that came with it and with the chicken dip were so good I brought them in our to-go box. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely come here again. I really don't want to tear apart this place due to COVID. I usually reserve my reviews for places that really impress me or places that are just a bad experience. I just happened to be at a nearby business with my wife and we took a chance. What a mistake! Nice location. Kind of stark walls though. Let me just say. THEY HAVE TO ELEVATE THE FOOD!! I played it safe with wings and club sandwich with fries. Club sandwich was not even toasted well and it had 1 little slice of ham and turkey. There was also a strange smell to it. Guarantee they get pre sliced meat. It was an awful sandwich. Then the fries. An up-charge which I will gladly pay. These little stubs came out. Waitress said the kitchen said they all look like that. Manager said they must have cut them wrong. Then admitted they do not cut them onsite which was obvious. I encouraged her to tell them to buy a higher grade. Wings were ok. Girl serving us was very nice. Manager took fries off bill. But had inept answers. We never even challenged the sandwich because it was just obvious to us we made a bad decision. I should have checked other reviews before we even parked! UP YOUR FOOD GAME!!! I would leave 0 stars if I could. We went to the bar after a wedding with friends and family and left very disappointed. The service was horribly slow and incredibly rude. No one could get a drink, as the bartenders ignored us. At 12 am, the bar closed and we were saying our goodbyes and leaving. It was 12:04 and the bartenders yelled rudely, laughed at us, and threatened us to leave. Completely unprofessional. I would never recommend going to this bar. read more

Do not go here!! Believe all the bad reviews you see here. The cook quit while we were waiting for lunch. We waited over an hour for food in a half empty restaurant and the manager was inconsiderate when we expressed our dissatisfaction. The waitress was very rude. The table next to us returned food for having something you would not want to eat in their pizza. Avoid this place!! We were staying next door for a wedding and this place ruined our day. This past week I have visited Mick's twice, both for lunch. During the first visit I was with coworkers we had a party of seven. The view outside was wonderful, food was okay, but service was slow and lacking attention. I went back today for lunch with a party of three to enjoy the view again and give the service and food a second chance.....it was worse. We arrived at 11:45 and there was maybe a few others tables filled. The waitress never gave us her name as was not very hospitable. The food prep time was not as bad but the food was bland. Also once the food was served we never saw our waitress again until she presented us with the check. I had to ask another waitress for a refill on our waters during our visit. This restaurant will not succeed past it's honeymoon if it doesn't get leadership and a staff that enjoys it's guests. read more

Unfortunately every time my wife and I have went here, 5 times now, it has been a terrible experience. I keep wanting to give them another chance but they keep disappointing. The service is terrible, and the wait times are unheard of. Went to use the restroom but there was no toilet paper and after notifying the waitress; for the entire meal didnt see a single worker go into the restroom to refill said toilet paper. Ugh my husband and I had to wait 20 minutes at our table to be initially greeted by our server. Once we were finally greeted and she took our order, it took another 20 min to bring us our drinks and appetizer. My entree salad was drowned in salad dressing so much that I did not want to eat it. Our waitress asked if it was okay if she brought the manager over to talk with us about the salad and we said "sure" but then 10 minutes later the waitress came back to let know she took the salad off our bill. Don't think she ever spoke to the manager which is fine - just weird that she made a point to ask us if it was okay if she came by to speak with us. The wings we ordered were pretty dry and my husband's fish tacos were just okay. Poor service is the main issue at this new location. Won't be going back for awhile. Bummer too since we have very few restaurant options in Willow Street. read more

Incompetent and unprofessional We are new to the area and couldn't wait to try Mick's in Willow Street as it was a handy location in a section of town lacking a pub. Our first attempt was unsuccessful as there was a 45 minute wait. We were undeterred and returned on a Sunday at lunch time when we were easily seated. The rather unfriendly waitress, who never introduced herself, took our order and water and sodas arrived quickly. After about a 25 minute wait we were starting to wonder about our food. The waitress told us that my pizza was holding up the rest of the order as it takes a bit longer. After another 10-15 minutes she returned to ask we we were OK. I told her we were not. She offered salsa and chips to hold us over until the food arrived. We could not understand how our food could take so long especially since they were not that busy. She told us our order was "next up" and the issue with the pizza was that the ovens went out and they had to wait for them to heat up again. We were assured it would not be long After another 15 minutes or so someone came to our table to apologize. She never introduced herself but she may have been the manager. She apologized that we had been waiting 35 minutes--we corrected her and told her at that point we had been waiting an hour--she gave a different excuse for the lateness and acted surprised about the pizza oven excuse we were given. She said that had been an issue the previous night and had no idea why our waitress relayed that information. She assured us we would have our food in 2 minutes. I suggested that we receive a discount and she agreed. She should have offered that without prompting considering how long we had waited. After another 10 minutes and no food or waitress in sight we walked out. As we were pulling out in our car, an employee came running out and asked if we were in the first booth by the door as our food had just arrived. We told her we had had it with Mick's and would never be back. I don't know if the help here is inexperienced or just incompetent. They know nothing about customer service or good communication. read more

I was sitting at the bar enjoying a drink and an appetizer, when a young man, food runner maybe, walked up to the bar and put his hand in the cherries in the fruit bin and came out with a handful. The bartender told him he couldn't do that. So he dropped them back in! Instead of throwing them out immediately, she continued on with other things. Maybe 20 minutes later, when I paid my bill, I strongly suggested that she throw them out. I watched until she did it. Fortunately no one used any in the mean time. Off to a rough start. I have to first say that the restaurant is beautiful and very clean and the waitresses and bartenders are friendly and attentive, however, the food was lacking. We first ordered chicken wings which were on special. The sauces were great, but the chicken was undercooked! It had to be sent back to be re-made. I had the meatloaf with a side of broccoli for dinner. The meatloaf was fine and the broccoli was bland, it tasted like it was steamed but had no seasoning on it. We were brought the wrong pizza which delayed one person getting her food. One person in my party had the buffalo chicken salad and really liked it and another person had a sandwich which he also liked. The orange crush drink was very good along with the tropical punch drink and the unsweetened ice tea. Will probably give it another chance, since the location is ideal for where we live, once they have been open for longer. read more

Mick's is currently offering $24.99 family of four meals and they are awesome. We ordered a few and just love the quality, variety and quantity. Mashed potatoes were yellow with butter. Pickles were soggy. Fries were obviously pre-packaged and from a freezer. Couldn't taste the Parmesan in the chicken parm. The noodles had no flavor and were not adequately drained. Out of our group of 7, not one was satisfied with their dinners. Bummer. Cannot recommend Mick's. We want so badly to like this place. We have been to 3 different Micks now across the county and somehow, one of us has had something just not good each time. My last visit I got a grilled salad that was so salty and had a terrible flavor, masking it with extra blue cheese dressing would not help. As we pulled up we could tell the place was going to be good by how nice it looked outside. The booth size was huge and perfect for having our newborn with us. We had crab dip which was amazing, I had a the bacon cheddar chicken wrap which was delicious, I upgraded my side to fries which were cooked perfectly and plenty. My husband had the BBQ chicken club and he said it was amazing, for his side he upgraded to sweet potato fries and stated that it was one of the best that he's had. Our 9 year old got chicken tenders and fries which he also loved which made our experience amazing since he's a picky eater. Overall we had a great experience including with our waitress who was super attentive and the cleanliness of the restaurant was perfect. Service was really bad for a half capacity restaurant. Our apps were sent to the wrong table and their apps were put in front of us. I'm not crazy about Covid but once the apps hit the other table they should have been thrown out. They weren't, they were taken to the kitchen and then put on our table. I ordered chicken quesadilla but was served beef. No big deal, I survived it, but they were overly greasy and just not very tasty. Chicken wings were served cold and were not very good. Our waitress was less then friendly and accommodating and seemed as if we were bothering her just by being there. By beer sat empty for 10 minutes.
