This place sits inside of the casino hotel we were staying at. Came here for dinner to grab the deal that was offered by the hotel. We didn't have to wait long to get in and seated. Staff was friendly and service was good. My beau got the chicken Parmesan and I got the salmon steak. Both dinner entrees were decent.

I like this place. The are a lot of options to choose from in the area. From real expensive to real cheap. This place has great quality food for prices you might find at a dennys. I almost always eat here just for the value it provides. Wish I could say the same about the casino it sits in.

The Mid City Grill is located inside the Century Casino.

During a road side trip to some of the mining tours in the area, my husband and brother asked if it was okay if they gambled at the roulette table a bit. "Only if you find me lunch first," I said. Mid City Grill was a good fit to suit our casual dining desire. It was an average meal and fine for the moment. My husband and brother jumped on their special which was a hamburger and fries for $2. I just had to be different of course and opted for a turkey sandwich. The sandwich was okay. The fries weren't that good. The seating area is nice with cool old photos hanging. The restrooms are elsewhere in the casino, but are decent. I would possibly call this a family friendly environment, although it was mainly older individuals there discussing their bad luck at the slots. The service, while somewhat slow with bringing out the food, was down-to-earth and attentive otherwise. We didn't have to ask for refills or extra napkins. They were quite a bit slow getting to us when we went to pay our bill, though. They give you your ticket. You pay at the front. We stood there for a couple minutes before a different waitress came to help us. :/ The people around us seemed to enjoy their lunch, but I guess I just don't really like the whole casino atmosphere. It's inside the Century Casino towards the back. Just ask around for it. On the upside, we had free WI-FI, but that was probably because of the motel. Review #110

Frozen party from freezer section of a grocery store. Horrible burger and bland fries. Overpriced for what it is.

The service was exceptional -- the staff was attentive, kind, and very accommodating to my 7-year-old, which made the whole evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. Overall, such a great date night. We'll definitely be back!

Positives first: The…read moreservice was very good. Our waitress, Marian, was pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable throughout the evening. The drinks were also well done. I ordered the tableside smoked Old Fashioned, which was surprisingly tasty--I usually find the smoking aspect to be more novelty than substance. Areas needing improvement: The steak tartare itself was good; however, the accompaniments were under-portioned relative to the amount of tartare. The bread served with it was basic toasted white bread, which felt underwhelming for a restaurant at this level. The New Year's Eve prime rib special was inconsistent--warm around the edges but cold in the center. Now for the disappointing part: I ordered the sea bass, which arrived cold and frozen in the middle. I returned the dish, and our waitress was extremely apologetic. Unfortunately, by the time an update was provided--about 30 minutes later--we were told another sea bass would take an additional 30 minutes to prepare. By then, everyone else at the table had finished their meals, so I had no choice but to cancel my order and go without dinner. To her credit, the waitress did offer us a dessert in an effort to make things right. With a bill exceeding $300, I would expect a much higher level of quality control. For a restaurant at this price point, these issues shouldn't occur. That said, I would be open to giving 980 another chance. I understand that things can go wrong, especially on a busy night like New Year's Eve. Cheers.

My husband asked what scotches and whiskeys they had (there was no menu listing) and the waiter replied "Well, pretty much everything. What do you want?". My husband then says Maker's Mark and our waiter says "Uhhh that one doesn't sound familiar, but I'm not a drinker so I'm not sure. What else would you prefer?". The whole conversation just was not really helpful on the waiter's behalf at all. My husband ended up gettin a crown on the rocks and the drink he brought to the table was the tiniest pour I have ever seen in a restaurant. I later realized that there was no bartender behind the bar at all and that the wait staff was pouring their drinks with no sense or measurement tools in sight. That would explain the sad pour. We ordered the "stew for two" and the Caesar salad both of which were very good. Unfortunately, the ribeye fell short and the seafood Champaign pasta was flavorless. Having worked at a fine dining steakhouse for 3 years, both the service and food proved disappointing. The only reason I am giving 3 starts instead of 2 is that our meal was comped from our food credits. We will not be returning sadly.

However have to say that the fillet mignon Oscar and the strip steak with blue cheese we're pretty good. One thing that hasn't changed is though you're ordering a high $30 meal but you get plastic ramekins. Just doesn't seem to make sense :-). The waitress was absolutely sweet and attentive. Original review Big group of friends last night at Winfields. Not the best steak house nor the worst. Most of our party seemed happy with the food and service. I dropped one star primarily based on two areas. One being the young waitress was not very versed on the menu details and cocktail selection & the other was all of the baked potato fixings and butter where served in cheap, disposable plastic ramekins that you would find in a McDonalds not a high end steak house.

I want to start by saying our server, I believe Trent or Trenton, was fantastic. The food was great…read moreand the atmosphere was enjoyable. The only reason this review is not positive is entirely because of the hostess. We had reservations for two at 6:45 PM on May 2nd. The restaurant had a line out the door, which is completely understandable on a busy night. I walked up and politely said, "6:45 reservation for two." No greeting, no smile, no basic customer service skills whatsoever -- just "booth or table?" Trying to make things easier while the restaurant was clearly busy, I said, "Whatever is easiest for you all." Apparently that response offended her, because she stared at me and replied, "Looks like we need to practice making decisions," with the most smug, condescending expression imaginable -- like she was disciplining two children instead of speaking to paying customers. I was honestly shocked by how comfortable she was being blatantly rude for absolutely no reason. If answering a simple question with flexibility and kindness is somehow too difficult for her to handle, then maybe customer-facing hospitality is not the right fit. Her entire attitude screamed miserable, arrogant, and bothered that customers even walked through the door. What's worse is this is not the first rude interaction we've had with her, and while waiting I also watched her speak down to other guests the same way. So clearly this is just how she treats people. Honestly, she is lucky it was a date night and my fiancé was with me, because I am not the type of person to sit quietly while being spoken to that way for absolutely no reason. A hostess is supposed to welcome people into the restaurant, not act like an irritated middle school vice principal on a power trip. It's honestly embarrassing for your establishment because the rest of the staff did a wonderful job. I am unsure of her name, but she is taller, likely in her 50s, with a pixie haircut slightly shaved in the back.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious, the place is comfortable, the taste is unique.read more
