I ordered a Asian Salad. It was terrible. The lettuce was a junk of Iceberg lettuce. Terrible. Not mix greens. The price was expensive. I do not eat Fish i had it on the side since the would not take it of the price. Do not eat cheese so I asked to replace with Jalapeño peppers. The waitress was nice. First off we ordered and waited 50 minutes before receiving our food. Ordered the Saturday prime rib dinner and received a low quality steak. Never saw out waitress the whole time. Never asked how our food was or if we needed refills everytime we saw her come out of the kitchen she was putting food in her mouth. Poor food, service and quality. It put our mood in a very sad state. Would recommend passing by and going to mcgills. read more

This place sits inside of the casino hotel we were staying at. Came here for dinner to grab the deal that was offered by the hotel. We didn't have to wait long to get in and seated. Staff was friendly and service was good. My beau got the chicken Parmesan and I got the salmon steak. Both dinner entrees were decent. read more

Mid City Grill in Cripple Creek. Not many places to get a decent hot breakfast in Cripple Creek but went here and for $10 you can't really complain for an All American breakfast of 2 eggs, bacon toast and hash browns. Went last year and the hash browns were real hash browns and not 2 hash brown patties like you get at McDonalds. They we totally soaked with oil and were disgusting. Go back to the real hash browns please. Other than that, eggs, bacon and toast cooked perfectly and coffee was good. read more

I like this place. The are a lot of options to choose from in the area. From real expensive to real cheap. This place has great quality food for prices you might find at a dennys. I got chicken tenders here that were so overcooked it was like eating a shoe, and the breading so thick that when you tried to tear a piece of the chicken off it just slipped completely out of the breading and left you with this shell. She had a salad with vegetables cut so thick that you needed a knife to cut them down enough to eat. Between that and the sheer expense to eat such junk food, I won't be returning. read more

During a road side trip to some of the mining tours in the area, my husband and brother asked if it was okay if they gambled at the roulette table a bit. "Only if you find me lunch first," I said. Mid City Grill was a good fit to suit our casual dining desire. It was an average meal and fine for the moment. My husband and brother jumped on their special which was a hamburger and fries for $2. I just had to be different of course and opted for a turkey sandwich. The sandwich was okay. The fries weren't that good. The seating area is nice with cool old photos hanging. The restrooms are elsewhere in the casino, but are decent. I would possibly call this a family friendly environment, although it was mainly older individuals there discussing their bad luck at the slots. The service, while somewhat slow with bringing out the food, was down-to-earth and attentive otherwise. We didn't have to ask for refills or extra napkins. They were quite a bit slow getting to us when we went to pay our bill, though. They give you your ticket. You pay at the front. We stood there for a couple minutes before a different waitress came to help us. :/ The people around us seemed to enjoy their lunch, but I guess I just don't really like the whole casino atmosphere. 4 stars for a few main items: bowl of chili, pricing, and service. We stopped in after playing some games at Century Casino (this restaurant is inside) and figured we'd grab a quick lunch. They had Laughing Lab beer on draft and it was only $2! There was another beer on tap and a lot of bottle options, but $2 was a great price. I got the green chili bowl and a beef taco. I didn't think about it when ordering, but I'd recommend this combo as the beef taco was huge (tons of items fell out) and the chili came with 2 tortillas. When you're done with your taco, you can stuff the remnants into the tortilla and turn it into another taco. The chili was great and I recommend it. It had a little spice to it and came with pork and cheese. The taco was pretty basic (beef, cheese, lettuce, and a shell) and I found the meat to be a bit salty. I would not order one by itself, but it did go well with the chili. We also got the taco salad and guac, which had good flavor and the chicken was seasoned well (thought it was a bit salty for me also). Our server, Beverly, was good and the food came out quickly. The Mid City Grill is back on track. The food at least for lunch and dinner is very good. The steaks are much better than the Steakhouse and about half the price. While the wait staff changes often they always have a good crew. With the limited number of good restaurants in Cripple Creek this place is at the top of the list Give it a try you won't be disappointed. read more

I would have taken pictures it I left my phone in the hotel room for dinner. Ate dinner there tonight. We ordered their Chicken Fried Steak and Pot Roast entrees. The Chicken Fried Steak was very tough and the breading fell off as soon as we cut into it. This tells me it was frozen and not made in the restaurant. The Pot Roast was black on the outside and very fatty. Save your money, do not eat here. read more

If you are looking for a place to dine, and are reading this then you have your priorities reversed. It's a diner in a casino. It's not bad, but it's casino food. Just about every casino has one, and this one is similar to what I have seen in casino from the 1970's on. A free food or half off promotion brings in the gamblers, or provides casino patrons the opportunity for a quick bite between jackpots. I have been here a couple of times. I found the food average or better. It's clean, there is a predicable breakfast menu, a salad bar, various burgers and sandwiches and the service is ok. We have had the turkey dinner on Thanksgiving, and on or last visit prime rib. Predictable at best, (the prime rib on the last visit was a bit tough), but the service was attentive and the prices are very reasonable. read more

Had a great, great dinner tonight. Thursday is one of my favorite days in Cripple Creek because of this restaurant. They call it Throwback Thursday. Get a player's card (minimum play required--I only play about $5 in a month) then get your coupon for dinner at the desk. This gives you half price meals! We always do dinner and get a $24 steak for $12 that is generally one of the best you can get. They also have salmon, buffalo, fried chicken, and some terrific salads. These are all some great meals and there is usually more than we can eat. The wait staff are attentive and kind. What more can you ask? read more

My wife and I stayed at the Century casino and we ate downstairs before we started hitting the casinos. Honestly I don't know what all the bad reviews are about, this place was fantastic!!! Trevor was our wonderful server he was amazing and super thoughtful and attentive! I had the buffalo steak my wife got the prime rib sandwich and we got a couple appetizers. Everything tasted great was a really fare price and cooked perfectly. I mean at 9500ft in the middle of nowhere I wasn't expecting a perfect dining experience but this place knocked it out of the park!!! We will be back every time we come to cripple creek!! read more

On a short Memorial Day vacation and we decide to spend our last day around the Casinos! Our Aunt loved this place and we wanted to give it a shot. I went with the Buffalo Sirloin and it was so much better than beef but wasn't seasoned well enough for what I was expecting. Potato was good and the steak was good to my liking. Although one steak was cooked wrong twice on another part of my table but the waiter was a gentleman and had it corrected. Great service. It's casino food, bottom line. You're supposed to be drunk and poor when you come here. The food wasn't terrible, I had the Cobb salad and chicken tenders. For three dinners the total bill was $30 and the beers we ordered were free. Overall if you need a late night snack and don't want to spend your gambling money, this is the place to go. If you want to celebrate your 10th wedding anniversary, well then you better hope you win big so you can take your spouse someplace nice when you leave. read more

Waited 10 min to get drink order taken, food arrived about 15 minutes after ordered and waitress did refill tea, but I waited approximately 25 minutes after was done eating for check. The pan cakes were super dry and tasteless. Mid City Grill- Just visited there and decided to eat there for dinner about 8:00pm. It was amazing service! The waitress was so sweet. I don't remember her name but what great service! You could definitely tell she liked her job. We really enjoyed the food as well! We also went back for breakfast the next morning and food was just as good. The waitress was someone else and didn't seem as happy. Only complaint is the slots didn't really pay out very well. But will definitely go back for food. Hopefully we will get the same waitress. read more
