We went once for dinner and once for breakfast and both services were terrible. Dinner - we had their Valentine's Day special which came with 1 appetizer, 2 entrees , 1 dessert and a bottle of wine (additional $) Our server literally did not know how to open a bottle of wine and we had to show her how, while she was pouring, wine was spilling into our fried mushrooms and she didn't even notice. My husband ordered one steak and I ordered the steak and shrimp. When it came, I got the same steak as him ( I cannot remember the names of the cuts) I literally asked the waitress if this was the right one and she goes "yeah yeah yeah" it wasn't until I ate almost half I remembered I was supposed to have shrimp - so I definitely got the wrong cut of meat. The chocolate cake we had for dessert was good but honestly too sweet and the portion size was just ridiculous. No one needs that much. I found it to be wasteful. Left dinner disappointed overall. We went next day for breakfast, they were not busy. Lots of empty tables yet some how we still had to wait about 20 minutes. After we got a table it was another 10 before we got drinks, and it was the same waitress from last night, who didn't even end up being our waitress. We had a middle age man who completely forgot we existed. We had to flag him down multiple times for things and our food came out incorrect. My father in laws sausage was missing from his dish. The bacon and pico were missing from my breakfast tacos NO WHERE on the menu did it say I was getting beans with my dish. My husband and I ordered a side pancake - no chocolate chips, but whatever, the pancake was almost impossible to cut and didn't taste very good. Not a great experience here. I didn't take photos of breakfast because k was so disappointed

They don't pick up the phone. Hard to get a hold of someone to place a pick up order. This has happened numerous times.

My husband asked what scotches and whiskeys they had (there was no menu listing) and the waiter replied "Well, pretty much everything. What do you want?". My husband then says Maker's Mark and our waiter says "Uhhh that one doesn't sound familiar, but I'm not a drinker so I'm not sure. What else would you prefer?". The whole conversation just was not really helpful on the waiter's behalf at all. My husband ended up gettin a crown on the rocks and the drink he brought to the table was the tiniest pour I have ever seen in a restaurant. I later realized that there was no bartender behind the bar at all and that the wait staff was pouring their drinks with no sense or measurement tools in sight. That would explain the sad pour. We ordered the "stew for two" and the Caesar salad both of which were very good. Unfortunately, the ribeye fell short and the seafood Champaign pasta was flavorless. Having worked at a fine dining steakhouse for 3 years, both the service and food proved disappointing. The only reason I am giving 3 starts instead of 2 is that our meal was comped from our food credits. We will not be returning sadly.

However have to say that the fillet mignon Oscar and the strip steak with blue cheese we're pretty good. One thing that hasn't changed is though you're ordering a high $30 meal but you get plastic ramekins. Just doesn't seem to make sense :-). The waitress was absolutely sweet and attentive. Original review Big group of friends last night at Winfields. Not the best steak house nor the worst. Most of our party seemed happy with the food and service. I dropped one star primarily based on two areas. One being the young waitress was not very versed on the menu details and cocktail selection & the other was all of the baked potato fixings and butter where served in cheap, disposable plastic ramekins that you would find in a McDonalds not a high end steak house.

Given the word "classic", I was expecting long thinly sliced beef , this was small chunks of beef. When I see "Classic Fried Chicken" on a menu, I would expect crispy pan fried bone in chicken... like what my mom made. This Fried chicken consisted of two roundish chunks of boneless white meat breaded in bread or corn meal, picture "shake--n-bake" consistency. Truly tasted like eating cheap frozen breaded boneless chicken. No flavor. No seasoning , not even salt/pepper. The gravy was pale yellow.. NOT at all like CLASSIC freshly made/home made pan chicken gravy, with chunks of the crispy fried pieces from the pan . This seemed more like something out of a jar.. I subbed seasonal vegetable instead of mashed potatoes. The only thing we ordered that was delicious, Cauliflower and Romanesque . Although when asked prior to ordering , the server said the seasonal vegetable was Romanesque, I was surprised that it was a blend with cauliflower...mainly cauliflower, very few Romanesque The fish and chips looked and tasted like Long John Silver's fast food. Two chunks of fish batter fried. The chips seemed like bulk frozen fries. The person who ordered the fish/chip ate very little of it. The bar drinks were good, on their own, those would be 4 stars. , I ordered the mocktail Butterfly Lemonade. It was a lovely shade of lavender, but was like drinking pure bottled lemon juice mixed with some sparkling water. Zero sweetness, even though simple syrup was the second ingredient stated in the ingredients. We sent that drink back. Server was very nice. Outdoor seating was pleasant. Those elements would be 4 star.

It's just a step outside of the main business areas of downtown Canon City, but it is worth the 4-5 min extra drive. Wife hailing from the gulf coast has exceeding high expectations of Cajun/creole foods so I was preparing for the worst. However to both of our surprise, the food passed judgement with flying colors. The shrimp Po'boy was massive with the perfect amount of shrimp and toppings that kept it a traditional "make your tongue slap the back of your throat" Po'boy! My wife ordered the gumbo which brought the heat and flavors that satisfied her desire to eat something that reminded her of home. All in all, it made her pass out on the way back home. I have been to the old Baja Billy's and it honestly was just kind of ok. I was pleasantly surprised by the new, fresh and closer to authentic Mexican cuisine. Each of us loved our dishes...we all agreed that the enchiladas with green chili sauce was exceptional! Embarrassingly, I have to say that we also consumed (and I am still uncertain how this happened) 12 refreshing margaritas between the three of us . One other highlight to our visit...and such a little thing...but it actually makes a difference...if/when you do visit Baja Billy's, ask for a booth. Each of the booths has a light dimmer switch.
