My Q50 infinity experience some shaking of my steering wheel whenev I hit the breaks. it was minor at first, then it worse and worse. i rememberEd my breaks pads/rotors were replaced in 2022, so I made an appointment with midas and checked the date. it was still under warranty. they took my call and booked appointment quickly and replaced all 4 as they indicated the rotors had many got too hot and warped. now my car drives so smoothLu again when I hit the breaks. no issues at all. thank you! read more

This place is just as great as I remembered it. Had moved to and from the area within the past 3 years, but today happened to be my lucky day that I needed an oil change before we move away again to another city. Decided to stop by this spot in hopes they could fit me in considering it's already so late in the day and I didn't have an appointment. Ernesto greeted me at the front and was so incredibly kind and helpful. The best part is that he even remembered me after all of these years! I can't imagine how many people they see regularly but the fact that he had remembered me really meant a lot. To me, that's a company's commitment to valuing their relationships with their customers. Recently moved to the area and have been looking for a mechanic I can trust, and I found it here!! My car unexpectedly nearly died Friday night, and I called Midas Saturday morning and was able to bring my car in right away. After completing the diagnostic check and test drive they determined there was nothing serious that needed to be done, topped off my oil for free and waived the $160 diagnostic check fee!! This tire shop is dishonest, unethical, and unprofessional. If I could give 0 star I would. As soon as I saw a nail stuck in my tire, I went. I waited 2 hours to get the tires checked. This grumpy mechanic came back and told me the tire was not fixable, thereby, I had to get a new tire. He searched up the inventory for 10 minutes and told me they only have one tire left and it will cost me 300 bucks. And another 10 minutes passed by he told me they actually didn't have any tires available. So I left the place frustrated, went to another tire-shop, and found out that the nail didn't even penetrate the tire deep enough to damage the tube inside. Of course I am sad that I won't ever get my precious two hours back and angry that they almost charged me for a tire that I did not need. But I am writing this not just to vent out but I just want to save your precious time. So please avoid this tire shop. I recommend Tire Choice Auto Service Centers in Pleasanton. I had a decent experience here twice. Both times it took approximately 45 minutes to wait for a routine oil change and general inspection. I do appreciate their checklist inspection, as it tells you if anything's needed to be looked at with your vehicle. I do recommend calling ahead to book an appointment, also ask them to honor any coupon you find online to bring down the cost a bit for you. There are no frills and no going above and beyond, but the job gets done, hence the 4/5 stars. Would bring our car again for another oil change. read more

I am genuinely disappointed this time. I got my tires from them a few mouths ago and I also purchased their tires protection plan. Got a screw stuck on my tire, so i took my car to Midas for the repair. The up side - the repair was free since I paid for the protection plan. The down side - when I got home, i noticed my wheel has scratch marks all over the surface, the tire valve cap is missing, and the wheel balance weight is missing...... It was followed up with a phone call by one of the technicians who broke down the urgency of each repair and helped me make an informed decision on which repairs I wanted to make and which ones could wait until next service. While driving to Monterey for spring break we a heard a loud clinking sound followed by an even louder knocking sound. We pulled over and were able to find Midas on the Village Parkway. They were efficient and thorough and explained everything along the way. They think that the last time we had work done at our dealership the mechanic forgot to tighten bolts that allow the brakes to work (no bigs) and they fell off while we were driving. AVOID THIS MIDAS AT ALL COSTS IF YOU WANT TO DRIVE SAFELY. Short version: this Midas location installed my calipers incorrectly and yesterday I lost ALL ability to brake while driving with my 3yr old in the back seat. If I had been anywhere other than driving up a hill at the time this failure would have resulted in an accident. I brought my car in a month ago for routine brake service. During today's repair from their botched service the person checking me out volunteered that the brakes were a) not installed correctly and b) a torque wrench was not used to set the proper torque on the original service. I was very disappointed with the brakes that Midas installed in June 2021. After spending more than $1600 to replace brake drums, pads, and fluid, it is still not functioning as it should. Midas replaced all the above twice, yet I continued to experience uneven braking and extreme vibration while applying brakes between 40 and 60 MPH. I am depressed and concluded that Midas uses very poor-quality parts for necessary safety equipment such as brakes. Brakes are crucial for the safety of vehicles and hence the protection of my family. But Midas disappointed me. I am not sure if I would return to Midas for my future maintenance needs, and I will not to recommend my friends and whoever reads this review to give their business to Midas. read more
