Got a quote at this location, got quoted $938.61 got a second opinion at a different location and they quoted me $200. Definitely a upsell/armed robbery. I would not recommend going to this location if you don't want to have your money taken. They also gave me bad information about the part that needs to be changed. read more

Brett and his team took great care of me on 8/10/17. Goodyear up the road quoted me $866 on a 2 wheel brake job, including replacing calipers - and they did not need to be replaced! I went to MIDAS for a 2nd opinion, and I an sure glad I did!! Brett saved me over $366 and treated me with respect. This place is great they have constantly and consistently done a great job on fixing my car and getting me out even when I show up without an appointment. My car is old and was has not maintained very well by the previous owner which has led to a lot of repair work. Midas has worked with me to get the repairs done in the order of seriousness and have worked with me on how much I have had to pay. I cannot stress how great they are!!! I didn't appreciate the fact that I was told the price of an oil change is $24.99 but was not told up front of the disposal fee for the oil of $2. I told the guy at the front desk "so it is really $26.99, not $24.99" and he said yes and I said why don't you say that and he said that it is advertised as $24.99. I said then it is false advertising. He should do the right thing and tell people about the $2 fee - he has the ability to do that but chooses to be unethical. read more

Very good customer service from these guys. Everyone is greeted and made to feel welcome. I couldn't get in yesterday just dropping in but was offered an appointment today. It'll take about an hour I was told. 20 minutes in the tech came asking me for my wheel lock which we couldn't find but he offered to rotate my tires later if I found it at home. Nice. They wear gloves and covered my seat with plastic. With my coupon savings they didn't blink an eye which sometimes can be a fight but these folks embraced it. read more

Don't go here! I used to be a loyal customer since the price was good and they were close to my home, but after my last experience and the horrible service from the manager, I will never go back. I went in for the usual oil change and found out 2 days later that my oil was leaking because they forgot a step! I had to go buy $15 worth of extra oil once i found out and the best they could do when I complained was to do another oil change. They did not refund me or provide credit or even apologize. I just moved to Lakewood 2 weeks ago from Colorado Springs. I didn't know the area enough to know any reputable places yet, so I went with a National Brand, thinking they would hopefully be honest enough. That was NOT the case. This place is either completely incompetent or dishonest beyond belief! I took my 2004 Ford Mustang in to have a tune up this morning. It was idling hard at stop lights, but it was still running from point A to point B, so I thought it would run better with a tune up. I explained to them that I needed to keep costs down, as I only had so much to put toward this, the car is honestly not even worth what I have had to put into it so far for various repairs (being an old car, that 's just how it is). I just don't have the money to replace it and need a running car, but the car isn't worth spending a bunch of money to fix everything on it right now, and so I communicated that needed to stick with only the immediate priorities. One of the employees called me about mid-morning to let me know that my car was "literally vomiting oil" and that in order to figure out where that was coming from, they would need to inject a die and have me drive a certain number of miles so they could see where the leak is coming from. You would think if the car was "literally vomitting oil," that it would be pretty obvious where it was coming from, but I definitely don't know anything about cars, so I have to rely on professionals to let me know what needs to happen to fix the problem. They then let me know that my shocks were "completely gone," and that if I hit a pot hole, it could cause serious damage to my car. I am a single mom, and I have to drive over 100 miles every weekend to pick up my son, between Denver and Colorado Springs on 1-25, so avoiding a pothole is not an option. Based on his description, the shocks then became more urgent need in my eyes, but turns out, it was not as urgent as they made it sound. The 3rd thing they said was urgent was that they thought the tune up might not fix the problem of the idling hard at lights and they were thinking it might be the throttle position sensor. They said they would just order it and plug it in to try it and if it doesn't work, they would return it. Thinking it was more serious than it was, I agreed to have them do that work at a new total of just shy of $900...keep in mind, I went in for a $136 tune-up with a working car. When I went to pick up my car after work this evening, he let me know that they did the tune up and it didn't help. They tried the throttle sensor and that didn't work and now my car is running worse than it was but they don't know what's wrong with it. They said the shocks are done, but that the car is worse off now than when they did the tune-up, but I would of course have to pay more in order to figure out what's wrong with it. I went in for a tune-up with a running car and now my car is now completely inoperable!! I had a 4 mile drive home from Midas and my car would not run more than 15mph and I had to drive the entire way with my flashers on going 15mph in a 45mph (if I pushed the gas to go faster, it just wouldn't go and it would die). My car was backfiring, sputtering, dying, AND smoking! It was NOT doing this when I took it in for a tune-up. So drove my WORKING car in for a $136 tune up and left with $900 shocks that didn't need replaced on a car that no longer runs. My next stop is the BBB to file a complaint. read more

In my opinion, this Midas Automotive business is great! It happens to be right around the corner from where I live so when I needed brakes, it was a no brainer. I have safe brakes on my vehicle and the manager was most aware and considerate of my low income status. I was told exactly what I needed to be safe and I was given a list of things which could and should be done later. This will be where I go for all my automotive needs from now on! read more

Keep away from this place! I went in with a coupon yesterday (8/9/13) for an OIL CHANGE. I did not ask for nor about any other services. I was informed some time later that they had performed a "free courtesy check" and for a mere $689.00, they would complete the work then and there. The person on the register took me out and walked me under my vehicle after I'd asked a question. I arrived there driving a very good vehicle, no leaks of any sort. He told me that my "rack land pinion " fluid was leaking, my oil pan was leaking, I needed a new battery, and that the light on my dash was fixed on, which was the only true statement on the paper. I told him that I came in for a $19.99 oil change and that was all that I wanted, and that I had been warned about places like that, especially for a woman going alone. I took my truck here for a standard lube, oil, and filter change and tire rotation. Normally, I take my truck to a place in West Lakewood, but decided to give this place a shot with a coupon I got from king soopers. I had them conduct a full inspection as part of the service as well. I knew I was having some issues with my breaks, but nothing like I had imagined after their crew took me into the bay to show me what was going on. Long story short, I ended up needing new rotors and breaks. I walked out spending a lot more than I was expecting, but Aaron Nevarez, the manager, was incredibly helpful and took the time to let me know what was going on. He understood my position on the extra money this was going to cost me and did his best to get me a good deal on the work. Ultimately, it was his customer service and willingness to take time with me that made me feel comfortable getting the work done under his watch. I just felt like I was being looked out for, which is why this will be my new place to take my truck for service in the future. read more

I purchased a rear set of tires to move to California. I was urged by Gil to get road hazard insurance and reassured that my insurance would be covered by all Midas locations in the U.S.A. Guess what happens 3 months later? My rear tires pops literally, side wall explodes and I call and go to Midas to validate my insurance that I luckily got. I call Ed, who replaced Gil and he rudely and unprofessionally barks at me saying trying to give me excuses on why the tire exploded and trying to make me feel liable though I had another tire expert at Midas validate it as a manufacture defect. Then he tells me my insurance is only valid at his location. Ed not only took forever to reply, was the rudest person, most unprofessional person I've ever come across. This place is run by monkeys as Ed the leader. He say " maybe you hit a curb?" Then I reply " First of all I would know if i hit a curb. Second, it was the right REAR tire so the probability of me exploding the right rear only is extremely low." After he talks to a supervisor to see what he could do he pretty much says good luck. Conclusively, I STRONGLY urge anyone to never step foot in this Midas location. They will lie, steal and never place any blame on themselves. LEARN from my experience and mistake! read more

I went in today for a standard oil change and tire rotation. Was there over an hour, I marked my tires prior to service ro ensure they were rotated, they were not. The employee insisted he rotated them. Manager called me after I left and said employee admitted to not rotating the tires. Integrity and honesty issues here folks, how do I even know they changed the oil? read more

I highly recommend the Midas store on Alameda, in Lakewood. I needed my brakes worked on and they got me in right away, explained in detail what was wrong and what needed to be done. They changed the rotors and pads, changed my oil quickly and my car runs great now! I will return to this store the next time I need service on my car. read more

I was so satisfied with my service!!! went to Midas to get my oil changed a few months back and my car had been making a funny noise since then. i went in to get my oil changed again today and asked them to look at what might be making the noise and check out a leak. As an innocent girl who doesn't know anything about cars, it's easy to get taken advantage of and overcharged. but (i believe his name was Matt) fixed up everything that was wrong with my car and i was charged a very reasonable price. Will took care of me up front (management i believe) and he was so personable and welcoming. when i came to pick up my car he explained everything they did and how they troubleshooted with the mysterious noise, and broke everything down for me so i understood what was done. seems like a super great worker and man. i was very pleased with my visit and while i typically bounce around general garages, i will definitely be returning to this specific Midas!! Irresponsive and irresponsible. I went in for the 120K routine maintenance on my well maintained Honda Accord. I have gone to the dealership every time before this but I was not able to get the maintenance done at the dealership and pick up my kids on time and this location was convenient to my kids' camp. Big mistake. The check engine light has NEVER been on in the 8 years of my car's life and within hours of leaving Midas it came on. I came back the next morning in case it was a minor oversight on tightening something and was told there was tape on the air intake tube which came off when they went to look at it. We NEVER do maintenance on our cars, we depend on professionals to do that. The last time the hood was opened was a month prior at a Colorado Emissions Check Station. The car would have never passed emissions with a taped air intake tube. The Midas people offered to replace the tube and not charge for labor for $70, their alleged cost of the part. I was left speechless and left not wanting to have them touch the car. It makes no sense to me that there was tape on the air intake tube when the last people to look at the engine were with state emissions. I called the dealership and the part is $40 and the labor is $35. When I called Midas to state how displeased I was with their failure to fix the problem they created they said they have a price match guarantee. I informed them they have a problem that someone in the shop taped the tube and am not satisfied that they will match the price of the part. Do not go here, it is not convenient. read more

I had the best experience at this Midas, which I can't say had been true at other Midas Locations around the country-(specifically Chicago-Lincoln Park). I was nervous to bring my car to this midas for a new exhaust system after my experience in Chicago a few years ago- but I needed it done and I was on vacation- I called them and they got me in first thing the next day and I had my car back in my possession by late afternoon. New system and best of all the guys at the store were super friendly and event checked a few other things out on my car because they knew I was on a cross country road trip. they were amazing! I can't say that enough! I wish every location handled their customers like they did! These guys here should teach the other locations how to manage clients! They are great!
