I went there just Because they advertise oil change with rotation of tires for $21.00 compared to lube stops high prices, I specifically asked about rotating the tires, the guy at the desk said sure! Tires were NOT ROTATED !! I know. Beause all 4 of my tires are differant,( I have a slow leak on my drivers rear tire and i have to put air in it every 3 days!) and that was the first thing i checked!!! read more

I recently came in for an oil change and asked to have my brakes checked out which needed to be replaced. The team replaced all 4 of my Rotors and breaks. Tom and Terry did an awesome job on my Toyota 4Runner and when I came back to report an issue they gladly took care of everything at no charge. My Check engine light came on. I stopped at an Advanced Auto for a scan so I could have confidence in driving to work the next day. Scanner said I needed a $20 vent valve and it was only an emissions issue. I took to midas next day. They quoted me at $990 stating my valve and lines were only factory available. Thanks to my experience at Advanced, I immediately asked to see the itemized parts they would be ordering. They refused to show me anything. They made up a couple parts names that were not possible to look up on the internet. Eventually I convinced them to fix the price or I would not have them do the work. Well I ended up saving $500 and the front desk person would not make eye contact with me during the check out process. Please ladies, ask for part numbers. If they completely refuse they are treating you like a fool. read more

So just to let you know I had an alignment and balance done at this location that made a barely perceptible vibration into a severe one. When I drove the car the next day, the vibration started at 40mph and shook the whole car. I brought it back, they swore they were able to fix it - the mechanic said he had it up to 85 before the car stated shaking. The next day I left on a trip and though the shaking was less severe at legal speeds, it was certainly still worse than originally felt. I had to bring the car to another shop on my return, where they determined the tires were still out of balance by 3 centimeters. They rebalanced the and the vibration was gone. Midas is willing to rebalance my tires because, "we are aware that our tire balancer had an issue (which is now resolved) so we are certainly willing to re-do the balance or refund her the cost of the balance, $31.96." If you have time for this kind of runaround, just be warned. read more

Came here for an oil change because it was close to my apartment. I read in another review that that person watched them do the oil change and they were supposed to do a tire rotation (as advertised with their oil change service) but they did not. When confronted afterwards, they just played dumb and took the car back to rotate the tires. Pretty much the same thing happened to me. I decided to mark one of the tires and specifically told them to rotate my tires (although I should even need to if they advertise that it's a complimentary service that is standard with all of their oil change). I left and returned to pick up my car and my marked tire was in the same location. I confronted and the same thing happened to me - played dumb, saying the mechanic must have forgotten and they'll take the car in and do it. That just leaves a really bad impression of this place - very shady. Knowing what I know now - I'd rather pay more to go to Lubestop down the street. Stay clear of this place! read more

I went in for 2 repairs. The first repair was done fine. The second repair, a grinding noise from the front ,was diagnosed as rubbing break pads and rotors. After the repairs were done the grinding noise was still there and they NOW said it was my wheel bearings. I was charged $240 for break pads and rotors and couldnt get the old parts back on, a discount, or it removed from my bill. And dont expect corporate Midas to help if contacted either. These people cant be trusted and I will never go back. I recommend to stay away from Midas. read more

Our car broke down outside of Cleveland when heading back to VA. We called first thing next morning and spoke to Tony (retired vet) and stopped by with the tow truck. He was thoroughly helpful and thoughtful, he showed us what was exactly wrong, gave us an estimate, and updated us as the repairs went. We were back on the road after 1.5 hours with 2 new tires, and a complementary tightening where we had an oil leak and a welding to a rusted out part that was holding the exhaust pipe. Over Christmas break I took my car in to have a noise looked into, an oil change, and tire rotation. Not only was I pleasantly surprised at how quickly everything was completed, but how courteous/thorough all of the employees are and the rapport they had with some of the clients that came in. I have been going to the Midas on 117th for about 5 years now. They deliver consistent service at a fair price. I have always been comfortable with the service they provide and believe the advice they give is reasonable. In fact, I recently had a near flat tire and they charged less than $10 to fix it, where as many other shops would jump to a conclusion of getting new ones. It ended up being a problem with the rim. In the five years, once I received bad service where they forgot to screw the lug nuts back on after rotating the tires. Pretty bad error, but they refunded the tune up and gave me an additional free oil change to compensate for it. Overall, I would recommend despite the stigma that typically accompanies large car care services read more

I have been going here for years and have nothing but good things to say about this Midas! They have always taken the time to explain everything to me & getting an appointment is usually not an issue. They have taken great care of my car and myself when I was shaken up after a car mishap. They promised to have my car done the following day when the part they needed came in. I got a call a few hours later that my car would be ready by the end of the day! They were able to find the part used, with only 1,000 miles on it, for $300 less! It made a stressful, scary situation much easier to handle. I have taken both of my last two cars here for both small and significant issues. The customer service is friendly & helpful; the mechanics are honest & skilled. Once, they even let me use a coupon that I knew about but didn't have with me (look on their website -- good coupons there). They will do what they can to work you in, even on busy Saturdays, and will make recommendations if they are unable to fit you in. Today, they notified me that my issue might be under factory warranty and did not charge me for the diagnostic when they found that it was a coding issue that could only be handled by a dealer. This place is a rip-off! I received a coupon for an oil change, so I thought I would try it instead of going to the dealer. When I made my apt. I told them what kind of SUV I have and that it takes synthetic oil, so it may be more. The person making the apt. assured me that it would not be more. The coupon was for oil change, filter, 21 point inspection, rotate tires. It sounded like a lot for $19.99 that is why I ASKED BEFORE I went there. After they pulled the car in and emptied all the oil, the guy came out and told me that my vehicle uses synthetic oil, so it will be more. I started cracking up and told him to just give me the car. He told me the oil was already drained out. The manager came, and I told him that I asked if there was any upcharge for the type of oil my vehicle uses before I brought the car in, and was informed that there was not. The manager said he would honor the coupon. I was outside on the phone and was also watching them. They changed the oil, and did not rotate the tires. He brought the car down and started to back it out. I went over and told him he was supposed to rotate the tires. He acted dumb, and said "OH, does the coupon say to rotate the tires?" I said "Yes, it does." So, he put it back in and rotated the tires. After I left I pushed the button to check the air pressure, and sure enough, all the tires were low. They never even checked the air pressure. The coupons are to lure people in, then they try to change the price. Terrible service. read more
