So, my vehicle required tire repair and oil change and visited another location prior to this morning, and it felt like a 'red tape procedure in a Federal Building', so I researched and visited the El Paseo, Mission Viejo location. Showed up to make an appointment for later in the day, and the Manager Marco Ceja offered to take care of it right away. And I was not the only vehicle there. Early this morning I had a nail in my tire, and I had my spare tire put on. When I got off of work I came straight over to Midas in Mission Viejo California and have the most amazing service ever! They were very courteous and helpful and they were assured me that my tire would be fixed and I'll be good to go. As soon as I got here Joe Aguilar, the service manager, was very friendly and helpful and I'm so happy that I came here instead of going to a few other locations that I saw a nearby. I am an out of town car buyer who found a private party car for sale in Laguna Hills. I needed a pre-purchase inspection done and Midas was the only place close enough that could do it the next day. I called and Marco helped me right away and said the seller could drop the car off anytime. Marco was a huge help and did a very thorough inspection of the car with pictures, report and a Carfax. The brakes on the car started to feel metal on metal which tells me to get the brake pads check. I called Joe Aguilar at Midas. Heard good things about this shop. Holy smokes. He took me right away. Also did the well needed oil change. They caught the pads in time. Didn't need new rotors. Joe is great. Straight shooter, will make sure you don't over pay and gives great advice. I had my catalytic converter stolen on my Honda Element. Brought it into Midas and they fixed my car up quickly. Very nice people and they replaced with OEM parts. Marco and Sean helped and kept me well informed and followed up on any additional work, and even filled up my tires with air. Car sounds like it's purring now. I had my smog check and a couple sensors fixed I thought it was going to take longer but it only took a few hours which was great because we needed the car. I have been taking my cars here for about 10 years and never had any problems. I just took my new Chevy Silverado for an oil change and I was told one hour wait time due to the volume of cars they were already working on. The one thing that makes me ok with waiting that long is that I am always greeted with a smile and treated like family. I came back around an hour later and the service was completed. I always recommend anyone to my Midas store even if they have a brand new car because you do not get the same quality customer care at a delearship. read more

I went to Midas last week because I have a lifetime warranty on my Muffler. It's a 67 Ford Mustang. I was greeted and I had an appointment. The vehicle went in for inspection. The person told me the concern will be addressed and had to order the muffler. I received a call the following Tuesday the part was in. Went in today Wednesday morning and the service was completed while I waited. I couldn't have been more happier. This place is great. read more

We were driving our RV and pulled behind the store thinking there was a driveway, there was no driveway so I had to unhook my car From the RV and turn the RV around, in the process of doing this we locked the RV door with the motor running and the dogs trapped inside. Nick who was working at this Midas Store came out to help us, he loaned us his cell phone so we could call for help, tried assisting us in attempting to gain access to the RV. He keep checking with us to see if he could do anything and was there when AAA showed up to pick the lock. All turned out fine, we got the RV opened and the dogs are all safe, thank goodness we had the air running or it would have been much more serious. Thank you Nick for being there and for going out of your way to help us even though we were not customers, this is they type of customer service all companies should be trying to instill in their employees. Had my car in for an oil change, was told brakes were going bad on all four. Wanted over $500 to replace them. Was told it was dangerous to drive. Left and called repair smith. They wanted around $350to change all 4. Turns out my brakes are fine, don't need changing. Repair smith didn't charge me to come out because I was scammed by Midas. I always get my oil changes done here. They are the BEST. Super respectful of my time, and are very efficient. Waiting room is always very clean. Staff is friendly, helpful, and thorough. I just recently had my breaks done as well. Can't beat the life time warranty on the break pads. I don't know anywhere else that offers the same warranty, and at a fair price. Buyer beware! Went in to get my AC fixed and was right away told I needed a new compressor for $1000. Told Joe that when they filled my my refrigerant up at a parts store they specifically told me the compressor was working and that it was just a leak. He told me he could fix the leak but the AC would stop working again unless he changed the compressor. Went to another mechanic and they right away told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the compressor and that it was a leak that they could fix for about $100. It's been working for months now. Not sure whether it's a lack of integrity or knowledge but either way I would recommend steering clear of this place. read more

TWO THUMBS UP, way up. I'm really picky and demand both great service and competitive prices. I required OEM pads and calipers for my 2016 Land Rover LR4. Prior to taking the car to them, I got quoted from the LR Dealership and a few other LR especially shops, all of which wanted $2,400-$3,000 after discounts for the same complete "front and back pads & rotors job". Midas did it at all for a fraction of that ($1496 + tax/disposal-fees), and to boot, the famous Midas "lifetime warranty" on the OEM pad is all still included! I also had them balance and rotate the tires ($100). I was keeping an eye on things when they were doing the work and a few times I poked and noisy'd around the mechanic while he was doing the work...to make sure they are performing to my otherwise picky standards and happy to report, they did an excellent job. They got started on the work with only 2-3 hour advance notice from me including time they needed to get OEM parts. They got me in and out as promised, as they (Marco, the manager) promised (with 1-2 hours). I spent the immediate following 3-4 days after Midas brake service up in the mountains where we are snowed in with 2-3ft of snow...during which time brakes and the systems Midas had performed work on performed as expected, all over, in the snow, in the wet, up and down the mountain, in pretty tortuous conditions. read more

I walked in and I did explain it to the owner I told him I cannot find the problem to my car I'm already spent $3000 . The other shop already change 10 different parts I still cannot find the problem. The owner told me have a seat we will find a problem for you. 25 minute later he came He told me he don't want to change every single part but we are suspicious one part its the sensor. I ask him are you sure. He told me if the problem start again please bring it back. Thanks god he did fix the problem not even $100. Watch out Ladies, this establishment did not get the word, from 60 minutes, Dateline and 2020 who did exposes of car related service industries ripping off uninformed women. I went in for an oil change which advertised a set price. So since the "Gentleman" could not jack up the price there he procedded to tell me how my front and back brake pads were shot and my rear tires as well. Get this- he said over and over, " im only telling you this because i couldnt live with my conscience if somthing happened and i hadnt warned you" " im only following my conscience" " i couldnt live with myself ......" on and on and on.
