took my car in for an engine diagnostic and they pressured me into buying $200 worth of extra stuff that i did not need. two weeks later, my check engine light is on again so i called requesting an appt time and spoke to a guy who told me to come in the next day at 9. i go in at 9 the next day and try to check in only to be completely disregarded by the receptionist. she asked if i had an appointment scheduled and i told her i talked to someone on the phone who told me to come in at 9. this woman turns her computer screen to me and asks "do you see your name on this list?" to which i responded no and she says "you see what i mean then?". i knew at that point i was going to get zero help from this disrespectful ass receptionist. the attitude and customer service is absolutely terrible. i will not ever be returning. it's hard enough to get work done on my car as a woman without getting scammed and now i have to worry about being completely disrespected too? nice. read more

I have to give a shout out to this place because this one location in Roseville (on Foothills Blvd) is amazing and the customer service is outstanding. I have been coming here for the past 3 and a half years and I fully and completely trust the workers with all my car services. My Honda is an older car (it's a 2003) so naturally, it's going to have some wear and tear through the years. Whenever I come here, the workers are always accommodating and inform me exactly what should be fixed and repaired on my car (and what's nice about it, is that I receive coupons from them in the mail every month which is always very helpful). Within the time I have been coming here, my brakes have been replaced, I got new windshield wipers, several oil changes, my air filters have been cleaned (and some of them replaced) and a new engine battery. Quick tip; appointments are definitely the way to go because they will take your car in immediately and their goal is to get you in and out as quickly as possible. On the other hand if you don't have an appointment, shuttles are offered to each customer that would like to go home and they even have rides back to Midas so you can pick up your car. HORRIBLE, beyond unprofessional, immature, I could go on and on. Ron Evans and Kenny specifically were horrific to work with and David Polanco was not much better. We took our truck in for a brake job in May of 2021 which was faulty, attempted to have them fix it last year and it locked up on the DRIVE HOME from their location and yet they refuse to reimburse us for their faulty work and instead wanted us to let them "inspect" it again - no thank you. Once they found out that we were consulting an attorney, they had our truck towed away that very same day and didn't alert us. Talk about illegal! The place is a complete joke and waste of time. I don't get angry often but this has caused us so much trouble...it's really hard to believe Midas let's this location continue to operate under the current management. I have come here to get my oil changed ever since I moved to Roseville a few years ago, and keep coming back here even though I've moved out of the area. Everyone I have come in contact with is always super nice and helpful. Chris and Brandon at the front desk are great. They seem to really know what they are talking about, and are genuine when they recommend a particular service. Sure, they also try to sell you things but you get that anywhere. I didn't get the impression that they were trying to sell me anything I didn't need, just items that they recommended or were recommended by the dealer. The building is nice inside and out, they have a tv, complimentary water and soda, comfy chairs and magazines to read. The shop came under new management / ownership maybe a year ago, and I have had no problems since. Smog checks are around the back of the building, last two bays, by a guy named Mohammed. I haven't had one done here yet, but heard about it as I was sitting in the waiting room waiting for my car to be ready after having its oil changed. I took off some stars because I had to wait.... Not one hour, but TWO hours for my car to be done. I even had an appointment! I think anything an hour or less is OK, but anything over that it too much. Disappointed. It's very sad but they cannot stick to the most simple of issues by tightening the oil filter so it doesn't leak all over the driveway and had to leaking for days. This Midas location is a joke. Took my car in to get the brakes done at Friday around 3, they said since it was late in the day to come get it Saturday morning. When I hadn't heard from them by noon on Saturday, after numerous failed attempts to get ahold of them I drove over to find the shop closed(not a holiday, hours posted 9-4 on Saturdays). They are closed Sundays, so when they finally reached out Monday they told me if I was unhappy they could put my tires back on and I could pick up the car(they hadn't even started). I was forced to miss work as a result of their incompetence and inability to properly communicate. On top of it all, when I got my car back there were rat droppings throughout it. So I did my oil change on my Jeep JLU myself yesterday and everything was great until I went to go drive it the next day and the o-ring on the oil filter was not fully tightened down. started smoking a lot so I decided to stop by here and get it fixed. Not only did they top off the oil and tighten up the oil filter, they pressure washed it for me and cleaned it all up. They were awesome and I will be back for sure just because of this! This place is the WORST and the owner is a crook! I brought my car in to have a minor AC fix taken care. I was quoted a few hundred and told it would be finished up by the end of day. Great, I thought. NOPE... so began the many phone calls and excuses from the owner about why the work wasn't done, then wasn't started, then needed to be redone, then needed a specialist because they didn't know why the whole car wouldn't run, then it was just too small a space for their maintenance guy to get his hand in... on and on. After10 days without a car, I asked them to put it together so I could pick it up. All faith lost. Turns out they damaged my car's entire AC system and stained my seats with black grease. Are you kidding me? The person at the desk just this morning said, "we've had such a hard time getting anyone to come to work even I've had to jump in and have my hand at repairs." Not sure if he is even qualified to do so, but I am sure that he was incredibly embarrassed to tell me that my car was in such bad shape at pick up. He didn't even argue when I asked for a full refund of my deposit and that I wasn't going to pay them a dime to release my car. The owner was no where to be found. Shocked... nope! What a crook! Please don't go here. You'll regret it... I sure did! So, now I'm off to find a shop to do the quoted $1,300 of repairs needed to undo the crap work that this Midus did! Going into a mechanics shop is probably the most intimidating feeling for a girl. However, through every repair done by this team, I've always been taken care of and felt heard. On multiple occasions, the mechanic and the manager took time to educate me on each repair they've done. I went to Midas today get my tire fixed and hopefully get an oil change done. Had to wait a week and a half for my appointment to go through to get there. Then I asked them up front if they can fix my tire and then do my oil change. Instead they did the oil change and forgot about the tire which was the whole point of the visit. Then they ask me to forgo fixing the tire and get new tires instead. What a joke. I ended up paying $95 for a synthetic oil change that I could have done it half price anywhere else. They had my trust, and lost it. I brought my car in this past April and requested the entire car be evaluated including brakes, as I had only owned the car for a year and had no idea as to what was going to be needing replacement next. The shop helped me with an A/C user issue and changed my oil reporting no other maintenance needed. Fast forward to last week, I had my car in the dealer shop for an airbag recall. Without asking for a car inspection (as I didn't think I needed once having one done at Midas so recently), the dealer alerted me of my brake pads that needed replacing asap as they were at 2 mm. I took my car into Midas for brake replacement today and was told the brakes were so bad that in addition to their replacement, I would be needing new rotors as well. The center of my frustration is that I trusted this Midas with my car and took their "17 point inspection" as truth. If my brakes are this shot now, how is it conceivable possible that they were not needing attention 4 months ago, and why is my dealer proactively checking thoroughly and yet Midas did not do a thorough enough check when personally requested? My takeaway is that the Midas folks didn't do an adequate check of my brakes in the initial inspection and don't want to take liability of the situation due to cost and pride. I will be sure to tell all of my coworkers and anyone who asks, about my experience at Midas in Roseville on Foothills Blvd. I am happy to take my car to be serviced at the dealer where I trust they will do a thorough job. read more

I'm very unhappy with this location. They broke the handle on my sons car. Granted the car is 20 years old, but it's not in that horrible of condition. He drives it everyday around town and the handle was not broken. So its $250 to repair it and they want to take off $100 and charge us only $150. Why am I paying for what you broke on our car. They also started to work on my car before even calling and asking for authorization. They hadn't even done the oil change that we brought the vehicle in for. I'm sure you dont care that you've lost a household with 3 cars business, because someone else will come in because we are told to "trust the Midas touch." Stay away - took my car there on for spongy brakes - they inspected and said brake pads were low and needed a new master cylinder. I agreed to the charges - car not done by end of day because parts ordered were wrong or late arriving not sure - finally done by end of next day - picked up and brakes were spongier than ever - Told the staff that car wasnt fixed they assured me that all was well with my brakes - even after driving with me in the passenger seat. I gave up and took the vehicle to another Midas location and they were able to fix the problem (air in the lines) - I would avoid this Midas location (Foothills Blvd) at all costs - the brake people couldnt tell brakes were spongy and diagnose is a big red flag - thankfully the other Midas location got the issue resolved read more

I came in to check why my engine light was on. I was welcomed by the receptionist who was extremely polite and friendly, you can tell she loves her job! Cherry on top... she knows her stuff! Very knowledgeable! A tech looked at my car figured out the problem, recommended a part. Fixed the problem, even told me to come back to reset it, which I did. The tech was very patient and explained with detail what was happpenjng to my car, why, and how! Great! Very disappointed with this Midas shop. Have been a loyal customer for over ten years. New ownership now. Dropped car off in the morning to fix an oil leak. Our vehicle did not have damage when we dropped it off. Picked car up seven hours later with a huge dent on the left front fender. District manager (Joe) insisted that the dent did not happen while the car was at their shop and that it must have already been there when we dropped it off. They showed me surveillance video showing my car pull into the lot but the camera angle does not show the side of the car where the damage was later found. Video shows one technician walk past front of car to get mileage. That technician did not recall seeing any damage but stated that it may have been there he just didn't notice it. A second technician later gets in the car and drives off camera and later pulls into the bay with what the district manager says is damage showing on the left front fender. I point out to the district manager that the damage could have occurred when the vehicle was off camera. District manager Joe said that his technician told him the damage was already there when he got in the car. I asked district manager Joe: if the technician saw the damage why didn't he report it? Joe said that they often get cars with dents on them and don't report it. Joe refused to accept any responsibility or to even split the cost of my insurance deductible. Joe said the best he could do would be to install a replacement fender if I found one at the junk yard. When I said I was going to write an honest review on Yelp he said that I was trying to blackmail him and he then hung up the phone on me. Very unprofessional. This used to be a great shop until the new ownership took over. Will never take any vehicle here again. Joe, you lost a loyal customer due to the way you handled this. read more

I came in to clear up my "check engine" light so I could pass my smog test. I paid the diagnosis fee of $110 and was told I needed a new catalytic converter and oxygen sensors for $1480. After these services, I was told to drive the car 100 miles for the car's computer to remove the "check engine" message even though the light had gone off. I drove for 150 miles and the light came back on. I went back to Midas for them to fix the issue, but they said I'd need to pay another diagnosis fee because the light was on for a different issue than before. I was angry because they hadn't fixed my "check engine" issue thoroughly enough for the light to stay off and they wanted another diagnosis fee. I took my car to a different, non-Midas shop for them to determine the issue, and without any further work or diagnosis fees the car passed smog. I filed a formal complaint to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) because I felt Midas had taken advantage of me when they demanded a second diagnosis fee. The BAR rep reviewed my documents and visited the Midas location. Midas agreed to offer me a refund for the oxygen sensors and work on the car for free at a sister location to remove the "check engine" light. I will not ever take my car to any Midas, but I do appreciate that they gave me a partial refund and the additional service (although this is thanks to the BAR involvement). read more

(Priced same part at dealer-- only $612) Confidence in the ability & knowledge was steadily declining. stopped all activity & picked up on Tuesday night. Dropped off at dealer 8:30 am Wednesday; call from dealer with diagnosis by 11:30. 4 days & $700 vs 3 hours & $100 (dealer also noted it was not necessary to tear the engine apart to diagnose problem) Midas also failed to notice and advise of other serious conditions that were found--such as fuel leaking into the oil and crankcase. (4 days??? -- and they missed that) Maybe they are usually good for oil changes--but they missed the need for this one! read more

These guys are great! That said, they will sell you on every bell and whistle they can when you walk in. I walked in to get a brake inspection, and left with repairs, an oil change and a full tune up. The good news is that the entire time I was treated like royalty, they answered my questions, were reliable when it came to phone calls, and helped with some minor repairs I needed on the Jeep. They even replaced a seat belt and helped repair a seat for me without charging labor! When you go there, get ready to get sold, but be prepared to thank them for it. read more

After waiting 2 hours for a sevice check, a third customer came into the small waiting area where I was without a mask while engaged in a conversation on his mobile phone and sat near me in the waiting area during this era of risks due to Covid-19. I said, "Excuse me" and asked did he mind talking on the phone outside because he didn't wear a mask. He went outside and complained to staff. David, Midas staff, came in and questioned whether I had a problem. I explained the risk of the customer being inside having a personal conversation on his phone without a mask. David defended the other customer by responding to why he doesn't have to wear a mask, arguing, the other customer has a health problem and he returned the key to my vehicle saying, Midas will not be able to look at my vehicle. He failed to see that holding a phone conversation in a confined space was putting my health and ultimately, my life at risk. Initially, I was told it takes 2 hours or less to check the exhaust. After I waited 2 hours, I was told my vehicle service check was next before I was turned away. None of the staff wore masks or demonstrate safety practices. read more

First, I called and talked to David to inquire if they can remove the nail from one of my tire. When I asked him how much it will cost me, he said "it's free". I really didn't believed him but I went ahead and brought my car. They took care of my car as soon as I walked in the office. The waiting area has a corner where kids can play. It was a big help for me because I had my 2 year old son with me at that time. Thirty to forty five minutes later, my car is done. The mechanic gave me my key with a smile, for free, no charge.
