Our vehicle disappeared while in the care of this Midas location. Our 2013 Ford Explorer was towed directly from our home to Midas at 11227 Culebra Rd for service. Midas confirmed receiving and inspecting the vehicle. We were assured it was okay to leave the vehicle there and were told vehicles were pulled in at night. When we later arranged to pay our balance and have the Explorer towed home, Midas could no longer locate it. Initially, we were told they assumed WE had picked it up. This made no sense because we had not paid for the services and Midas still had our keys. No one contacted us to confirm whether we had picked up the vehicle. We were later told vehicles may have been towed from the property, yet Midas could not identify who supposedly towed ours, when it was removed, who authorized it, or where it was taken. Our vehicle has since not been located as towed, impounded, or repossessed, and police are involved. We were also told by management that the security cameras are not functioning/available. We have formally requested preservation of any surveillance footage and records that may exist. Communication has now become extremely difficult. Calls have gone unanswered/unreturned, we can no longer get a manager on the phone, and we still have no explanation for how a vehicle Midas acknowledged receiving disappeared while Midas still possessed the keys. I am not claiming to know who physically removed our vehicle. What I am saying is simple: we entrusted our vehicle to Midas, Midas accepted possession of it, and Midas cannot return it or explain what happened to it. We are now without our vehicle and still financially responsible for it. As of this review, our Explorer remains missing. read more

My boyfriend went in to get his brakes checked out. They told him it was his brake pads. Then an hour later they said it's his rotor. then 2 hours after that they said it's his ABS sensors and they have to replace all of them for 1400. He decided to have them just do the brake pads and came out to 670. When he pulled off the lot he couldn't even accelerate. AND THAT WAS NEVER AN ISSUE. Once he told them about it, very calmly. the manager, Richard, threatened him by saying "I get off in 10 minutes and we can handle it like that if you want", "i'm in a gang", "I have your address on file so i can find you". Terrible experience with Midas. I called ahead of time and specifically told them that I had a coupon/voucher. They said there would be no problem, so I made an appointment and drove to the location. When I arrived, I was told they couldn't perform the service because of an issue with their machine. The frustrating part is that nobody mentioned this when I called ahead, even though I specifically explained why I was coming in. I wasted my time driving there and making an appointment for a service they apparently couldn't provide. If I had been told this over the phone, I could have gone somewhere else. Brandon Corona quoted me over $1,000 for brake and rotor replacement. He informed me that no facility resurfaces rotors anymore if they are still within run-out tolerance. This is a lie. I do not do business with liars. If the rotors need replaced, fine, but don't lie to me. Prior to this I had taken my truck to have a fuel pump replaced. I had just had my disabled veterans plates transferred to this truck and they ran my license plate to determine what parts to order. Apparently they pulled the info for my prior truck and ordered the wrong fuel pump instead of pulling the VIN info directly from my truck. They got the correct pump in and charged me for BOTH fuel pumps labor for THEIR MISTAKE. Summary: They will lie about easily proven facts. They will charge you for their mistakes. They will threaten you with calling the cops when you confront them about their lie to cover up their attempt to defraud. I may be an old disabled vet, but I am far from stupid. I do know about most folks, but I do not tolerate liars. I will be contacting their corporate offices and filing a complaint with state regulators. It has been 5 months since a Midas employee hit my vehicle backing out a customers car from their garage I was promised that I would be compensated for the repair and that Midas would take full responsibility for the accident. Went in for a noice check and brakes was quoted 3000 for the whole thing took it back the following day due to the noice was still there they said they fix it took it home drove it noice was still there went there 5 times within the same month for the same noice even doe they keep saying it was fix took it back today for the same problem waited 3 hours for them to give me a quote of 4500 hundred for rack and pinion and control arm for the noice if that's what was causing the noise from the beginning why quite me 3000 for the first job that was not done and quote me 4500 today for the noice that that was supposed to be from the very first time I took it this shop is a rip off and fraud will not be going back I will not recommend going there read more

The Alamo Ranch location was a designated shop for my Cadillac Escalade through the Insurance. Something was wrong with my truck so that's where they took it. It was in their shop for about a month and a half to two months I kept in contact with them and they reached out to the loan company. Apparently the loan company told them that they were not going to try and pick it up. Keep in mind after the contact with the loan company I didn't hear anything from any of them for a couple of weeks. I ended up calling to see what the status was cause I haven't heard from any of them. They reached out to the loan company and decided to charge almost $10,000 worth of work on the truck and then sold it to a auction. This happened so quickly every time I call them I don't get any answers on why they sold my truck and the loan company is doing the same Then I got a lien in the mail with my name for all of those charges when I never approved any of them, I'm definitely going to the Better Business Bureau and make it a police report. Went in for an oil change and check my brakes out. The guy that does the oil changes was 45 minutes late to work. The way the front desk guy sounded when he told me it must be a normal thing. Then they tried to tell me I needed my left brakes bled and new pads it would all cost me $800!! I declined. Once I left I realized the guy that did my oil change completely messed up my mykey settings ugh!! Magically my husband replaced all four brake pads for $160 and bam problem solved. read more

I get there 10 minutes after opening and cars are already on the lifts and they looked busy already. I was lucky and happy that they were able to start an oil change for me right away. 45 min I keep looking at my car and then was told they were waiting on a filter to be delivered. So I waited, I waited , and waited. Then was out of there around 0915ish. The people were really nice. A 3 star rating was given for the length of time and the delay of communication of filter. Horrible service, came to get an oil change and bought the voucher on Groupon. When I got to the establishment, the man at the front let me know I paid more for it on Groupon than it would be in store, he didn't offer to do anything to fix it, just shrugged it off. I took my 2006 ford expedition Eddie Bauer in for service and it sat outside the building for a month and when I would call and check on it no one was answering the phone at all! Then my battery was stolen out of my vehicle! They said they never got in the truck but when I came to pick it up my truck seats was very dirty like oily they left there tools in it! And on top of that they couldn't find my keys any where in the place! The two man said that they messed my stirring wheel up he had to use my seat belt to keep my wheels from moving! The boss told me that maybe some crack heads got into the truck and they stole my mats I just bought for my truck! I would never go back to this place and I'll tell my friend don't go either the service is not good quality! People told me not to take it there but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took it! We went in to check my brakes because it seemed that they were getting weak. I had had a full tune up there 3 months prior and was told the brake pads were good, Just checking to be sure before school starts. They did tell us that it was busy and it would be about an hour wait. well, five hours later we get a call telling us that the pads are good, but the rotar is worn down. The man at the counter tells me that I've been braking hard and overusing the brake...like "what?!" I drive 15 minutes to work and back and am off in the summer. Then he told me that they had no record since 2022, even though I just had service in 2024. I decided to go to a different place and they acknowledged that there was no issue with the rotary at all. AVOID THIS PLACE! I will be taking them to court. I went to this place for a simple oil change in Nov 2023. A few weeks later I see oil leakage on my driveway which wasn't there before. I check the oil pan and it's coming from my oil pan. I take it back in and they redid the oil and put another oil plug. I went back home and same story, oil is still leaking from the oil drain plug. I took it back again and they said that it's the plug. They redid the oil again and I guess they tightened the plug more. But then they give me an $1100 estimate on the cost to replace the oil pan. I was irate. I went back home and now a few weeks later my oil is still leaking from the drain plug, my driveway is gross with oil leakage. My thoughts are they probably stripped the oil drain plug and it doesn't tighten properly. I'm going to file a letter of intent to sue and take it back in for the final time. They better either fix the pan (I really don't want them touching my car anymore but need it fixed) or give me the money to get it fixed at the dealership. read more

Midas at 11227 Culebra: Avoid this place AT ALL costs! Short version - Bad management and triple charging. Went in for an oil change and diagnostic on my fuel gauge. Was called later saying the fuel pump needed replaced, would cost 1,300 to do so as the part itself is 979. I got the part number and checked MULTIPLE places to get the part, and could not find a single place charging over 372. The exact place I was told was 979 charged 372, and another place charges 248. When I asked about it they said "I understand yea". I went into the store to pick up my car and try to talk about if I were to buy the part myself and bring it in if we could cut a deal, but the experience in the store was horrendous. The cashier didn't know what was going on, so I said "I want to pay for my stuff and talk about the fuel pump" he went to grab it and the manager Thomas said "We already talked just ring him up for the oil change and leave the rest". When I brought up my phone to show where I was getting my pricing at the manager put in headphones, crossed his arms, and leaned on the back desk. I will NEVER return to Midas as whole, but especially this location. I have had great experiences in the past at other locations but being charged almost triple for a part is inexcusable. read more

CREDIT CARD FRAUD ALERT**** I went to this shop back in November of last year to get my air conditioning fixed in my Camaro. We agreed upon 2K to fix my air compressor. My wife got a call from them stating that the A.C is fixed but now my heat doesn't work and It will be 4K to fix the part that's broke. I called back to see what they were talking about and the guy told me the person who talked to my wife was mistaken and both the A.C and heat work fine. Once I picked my car up I realised now my heat wasn't working in my car. I went back inside and talked to the acting manager of the store at the time, and explained to him that my heat is now broken and the AC isn't blowing as good as It used to. (I expected It to after paying 2K) The manager says oh sure we can fix It but it's going to cost 4K because we have to take apart your dash. Me being a customer who had no issue with the heat before this visit was rightfully mad and said "you really expect me to give you more money to fix an issue that you guys caused?" He cockily said "yes" and proceeded to blame me for the heat not working and how It wasn't their fault. So after a few not so nice words I left and called the district manager. He said he would get It looked at and fix the issue. Turns out the part below the dash was a 30 dollar part but the labor was what the the extra 3700 was for. He offered me a 30% discount for my trouble which I declined and just proceeded to buy a new car. The reason I'm making this review so late is because I was going to forgive them and forget about that stressful time they caused me. But I just saw a random charge for 4700 on my Midas credit card statement from Midas last month. Basically credit card fraud, somebody from the shop used the card information I opened with them and charged It without my consent. I used this Midas for an oil change previously, this last round I wanted to try Valvoline since they were closer that day. Valvoline looked and said they couldn't get my drain plug out, they suggested I take it right back to this same location. So I did, in doing so I watched the workers try to also remove my drain plug, same one they installed last oil change. Worker comes in and tells me it can't be removed. So now my $98 cost for oil change, tire rotation, etc has now upcharged to $2,239.89 due to now I need a new oil pan gasket. I was frantic, I called my husband (who works out of town) said to bring it home. He took a crack at it and paid $60 for new filter & plug from BMW dealership. Happy to say my oil is changed, he got the plug out himself and I didn't need a new oil pan. I will not return to Midas. Workers were pleasant. read more

I wouldn't recommend for alignment, my car drove more true and straight before I brought it in here and it was returned worse and with a crooked steering wheel. They blamed it on everything else (tires, rack and pinon, ect.) I took it to another alignment shop and it now drives straight and the steering wheel is straight. Also it only took them 30 mins to do it correctly instead of 2 hours for half the price. They should leave alignments to professionals, I wouldn't take my car here for an alignment ever Just an update - did exactly what was asked and never heard anything. read more

Recently my hubby got our Buick Enclave oil changed here. He was happy with the service. So when we were having issues with the truck for minor repair we took it back there. They did the repair same day and the customer service was great. The problem is when I picked up the vehicle the services stated were in my opinion not completed. We called and they were very accommodating. They had us return the vehicle. I picked it up the next day and all was well. I would give two stars because the back and forth and I felt as though we were charged for services not rendered but I'm giving three because they have a wonderful employee who called us, texted us and he really took care of us. He ensured the work got done and was eager to make sure the vehicle was completed correctly.
