Just a quick update. Ms "J" from Midas Consumer Relations contacted me on Sept 18 letting me know that they take these complaint very seriously and forwarded my contact information to the franchise owner with a promise that he would contact me to resolve this issue within 2 days. It's now Oct 6 and as you guessed it he is a ghost in the wind. No call, no email, nada. So I contacted Ms "J" again and what I got was a reply from her stating "Your complaint has been documented by Midas, Consumer Relations Department and will remain a part of the Franchise's records." So I replied asking her for his contact information since she forwarded mine to him and he didn't seem to give to Sheets about resolving this in a professional manor. And you guessed it, no call, no email no nada from her. If anyone feels the need to contact Midas and discuss your poor customer relations with this shop pm me. This entire fiasco from the shop dork, to the delayed and lack of response from customer service, to the franchise owner obviously being in it only for your money and not customer service has proven that just like the shop dork Midas is nothing but hot air lip service that is not "committed to delivering great experiences" that will never get a dime out of me again and anyone that I can make aware of this issue. PS I just found out today through a little investigating that the D!ckhead Manager and the Franchise owner are one in the same. I was able to get my almost broken-down car over to Midas after getting quoted a ridiculous price to install an alternator at the dealer. They quoted me an amazing price and finished my car in time for me to get to school! They even remembered to put my old alternator in the trunk so I could get my core payment back! They recommended me getting new serpentine cables for it as well and didn't charge me any extra to install them; Best mechanic experience ever. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for two years now and have always been very well taken care of. Tires, cat. converter, breaks, oil changes, and tire rod repair so far have been fantastic. The staff is extremely helpful, and did not hesitate to educate me on things I was less knowledgeable about. They do not take advantage of their customers either, which is something I appreciate. I scheduled an appointment and dropped my car off at 9:00 a.m. Requesting my two front brake pads to be changed. I was told that I would be called in about an hour. Two hours later I came back and was told that after inspecting the brakes, that they needed to be changed, which is what I asked them to do when I dropped the car off. I was told it would be another hour for them to change the brake pads. In the end it took 4.5 hours to have the two front brake pads changed. I understand that businesses get busy, but I scheduled an appointment for a simple brake pad change, I expected to be done within my scheduled appointment time. I was told that the entire process would be about 1.5 hours when I scheduled the appointment. Although the guys up front were very nice, that doesn't make up for the extremely long wait time. The guys working here were very nice, but I do not recommend it. read more

The guys at Midas are awesome. I went in a few months ago to get brakes and they started making a squeaking noise just recently. I took it back to Mitch, and upon inspection they couldn't find any obvious signs to the problem. He suspected a faulty set of pads. Without hesitation he had my pads replaced free of charge. Beyond impressed with this place! Spoke with Jim when I called to schedule an appt to get a quote for my brakes. First, they quickly took my vehicle in. Second, their price was very reasonable. I have 3 kids and had to take them with me to get the estimate. My plan was to just get the estimate and have my husband bring the car back at another time. Jim, was super nice and assured me that they would take care of it quickly. I hesitated because- well I had 3 small kids and we were approaching lunch time. Although I was hesitant, I agreed. He was beyond kind. Got some coloring books for the kids and even gave them snacks! They also made good on their word to make it quick! We will definitely be returning! Will still aim to send the husband to avoid having 3 kids waiting for a car to be worked on/service, but it's nice to know that I can take them if I absolutely need to. read more

Basically empty when I showed up and told me I would be there for one hour. Nearly 2 hours later I am now going to be 15 minutes late to my business meeting after watching my car being unmanned for almost 50 minutes. I don't ever remember a time when they have done an unnecessary service on any of my cars. In fact, they have recommended options in which come into hundreds of dollars in savings. In my last visit, I didn't have a lot time to get my wife's car brakes check and serviced if needed. But they were ablt to get it done in a timely, professional and efficient manner. Decided to take my car to this place because of the 5-star rating. Sadly, This was a mistake. This company promised to fix the issues that were going on with my car when my engine light illuminated. The price was suppose to be $500, everything seemed to be working fine for two days until the light illuminated again. I took it back for the same problem and now they want another $500 and they are not even sure if that will fix my problem. I guess my real issue with this is, how can you go under the hood, take a wild guess on something you think is the issue, and say it is going to fix it. I guarantee you that if you go to professionals they would be upfront with the cost instead of getting you to commit more money, by fixing one thing, and having you come back to fix another. That is not only unprofessional, but seems like some sort of "baiting tactic". I wouldn't have wasted my time or money fixing this car. I Tried to get them to fix the problem or get my money back or but they insisted that I purchased another part that "might" fix the issue. So this left me no choice but to take them to small claims. I will keep people posted on the status of this claim. For future customers, do not send your wife by herself, they will take advantage or at least make promises they can not keep. read more

If I could give zero stars... I am not sure where all the good reviews are coming from, but patrons BEWARE! This place overcharges for shoddy workmanship. Took my car in for brake inspection, asked them to do a thorough brake inspection, well 600 dollars later, and a day later my brakes overheated and burned, warped as well as damaged the new parts. I called and spoke to two different workers, one named Mitch. Well the first one told me that it was something new...my master cylinder. Mitch told me 30 minutes later that he has worked in the business for 14 years...so I should let my car sit it was air in the brake lines. Okay great, diagnosing my car over the phone! More money, more money that's all we care about here at Midas! No offer to tow my car no anything. But, most IMPORTANTLY, I was travelling down a mountainside when my brakes went out from all the new repairs($600 dollars worth) had my kids in the car, the only thing that saved our lives, is that I was lucky enough to be next to a dirt embankment, so I ran my car into the side if it to stop it as well as used the emergency brake! No longer trusting the Temecula Midas, I had the repairs done at the Hemet, Midas...but it took two returns to this shop as well. One of the Mechanics backed my car into another customers car who wasn't present. They paid that customer off...and only found new repairs that needed to be done on my brake system because I wouldn't back down and they wanted the whole car accident to go away unreported! This experience has been modified...because I could write a book about the dishonestly, misleading, shoddy workmanship, and all the games that were played! Lastly, All of this occurred in the name of the ALL mighty DOLLAR, WE here at MIDAS do not care about people's lives!!! And we got the MIDAS TOUCH, everything we touch falls APART! read more

I've been going to this Midas shop since 1999, when I first moved to Temecula. I've always received great service and an honest appraisal of what my cars have needed. Jim and Beau have always been friendly and courteous every visit (too numerous to mention; don't buy Chrysler). I will continue to bring my cars here because of the fine service, mechanically and professionally. If something was needed that was beyond their capabilities, they recommended a fine transmission shop to go to. I went there with complete confidence that the job would be done right. I have taken my car here twice. Once for my brakes and the other for an oil change. Both times I was very pleased with the overall experience and the customer service is great! The services and prices are listed on a large sign so everything is very clear and straight forward. I go in there and tell them what I need done and they do it. They suggested some things that I would need to take care of soon but never tried to pressure me into buying things that weren't needed. Being a female, I often have mechanics trying to take advantage of me. I don't fall for that stuff and I'm pretty knowledgeable about cars so even if they did try to talk me into something, I would have a good response on why I don't need it now. I feel like I need to be armed and ready just to get my oil changed!! Midas in Temecula makes me feel very comfortable and never tires to take advantage of me. I went to the Toyota dealer with practically a new car and they had a long list of things that they said needed to be done, I had bought an extended warranty but decided to get a second opinion anyway, went to midas and only several things needed to be done at half the cost. The warranty company was so happy I went to Midas(good rep) and left Toy of Temecula that they covered several items not even covered by the warranty because it was higher quality work and less than half the price read more

The manager is clueless what goes on in the shop.I had some muffler work done in order to pass smog, and the smog shop said the catalyc converter was removed! Went back to Midas addressing the problem, and said they must of OVERLOOKED the problem. I recommend not doing business with this shop because of their dishonesty and unprofessionalism. read more

Its a shame about these guys. I visited them about my brakes. I told them my wife said the car was shaking and there was noise. To my delight they called me and said that the was no problem with the brake pads and that all I needed was a brake service, as well as a motor mount replacement. Awesome! They checked my car over and discovered an issue. Fast forward a week and I am driving to Vegas with my family and I brake going down a hill.......huge shaking in front end, but how can that be, I had just visited Midas and my brakes were good. After thinking about it why would they B it completely check my brakes the source of a complaint but instead check areas I had not complained about? I then called M Ida's and Beau answered the phone and had nothing but excuses. As I tried to get him to understand that I had an issue that could have been avoided if the same due diligence in checking other areas of my car had also been expended checking my brakes which was M y initial concern I would then not have a car shaking to death. After 10 minutes talking with Beau who refused to "own" the problem for Midas which was clearly theirs to own I simply told him to have a good day. News flash Midas, I have 3 cars and you just lost all business you could have gotten with a simple "you are right we should have done a more thorough job instead of deviating to discover other issues", which equates to thousands In business lost and a bad Yelp review; courtesy of a defensive but polite Beau. Word of advice Beau, if a Customer calls with an issue just put them on hold and get a manager especially if you do not have the communication skills to rectify a problem. Again, a some sorry would have sufficed; TOO EASY! Thanks for the 4 hour shaky ride Midas. UPDATE: Visited the Midas in Vegas and had my rotors replaced and they told me that it is protocol for all Midas locations to do a "Run-Out" for anyone who brings their car in to have the brakes checked and they were shocked to hear this was not done at the Temecula location and hos warped my rotors were. read more
