i bought a set of hankook tires about 4 yrs ago with ~$1100. Back then they told me that i get a warranty of 50000 miles or 5 yrs. the tires is wore down after 12000 miles and the new manager is telling me that there's nothing they can do. The guy who sold me those set of tires doesnt work there anymore and my tires are not covered with anything... i called Midas customer service more than 5 times, each time they asked for more time to respond, and they never did over 3-4 weeks of time. the location manager isn't willing to help with anything either after more than 5 times of calls. I recommend taking ur business to somewhere real like costco or authorized dealer instead of wasting money here. read more

I highly recommend taking your vehicle here for repairs, and will recommend and refer their services to friends who have been dis-serviced by other repair shops. My vehicle was running rough and making a loud noise from the muffler. I found a coupon on-line for Midas, and as the location was convenient, I decided to take my chances. Being a woman, I always trust what I'm told my vehicle needs and naturally have been taken advantage of in the past by shady repair shops, charging for services that I did not need. In this case Alan (Store Manager) visually inspected my vehicle himself, and showed me the broken parts that my car needed. He did not try to upsell me, nor apply pressure to do more work than was necessary. He did however suggest that after the holidays, I come back and continue work on my car as my budget allowed. He then threw in a free oil change.. Who does that!!!! I love the atmosphere and customer service at this Midas shop. Communication is key, and they did a good job at explaining what was needed, and the warranty offered on the muffler. This location was super-efficient with their time and my time. I love that they are open on Sunday's too. Alan (Shop Manager), and Russ (Front Desk Manager), and the entire staff deserve the highest kudo's as possible, and I will continue to have all of my vehicles serviced here. Allan is a hero among men! My car needed some serious work and Allan made sure it was done and done right. As I work out of the city he was more than happy to hold on to my car until I returned. He also didn't tack on extra fees or add things that "needed fixing." I felt he was most fair and he even worked with me on price so that I didn't break my bank. Had to get new catalytic converters on my car to pass a smog test. To replace cats on a 4Runner is a very long and rigorous service. The guys here at Midas gave me a VERY great price. Can't explain how grateful I was for the price they gave me compared to other auto service shops. They completed the job in one day successfully and was able to pass my smog test the next day. Every time when I started the car (Lexus RX330), I noticed a warning sign which had bothered me for few days. Somebody referred me to Midas for checking. I don't like to put a business down, and I really dont care to waste my time to write review on Yelp. But I had to write a review here to encourage mechanic businesses to be more trustworthy. Trustworthy mechanics are far and few, and Tustin Midas has completely lost my trust. I will NOT be coming back again. Here is my story. I was recommended by someone I highly trust to go to Midas for my car trouble, and my previous mechanic, who I trusted very much, was all the way in Pomona. So I enthusiastically went to Midas to have my cooling system fixed/replaced (radiator/hose, etc...) back in May 2017, and spent over $1,200 for a lot of repairs. During the summer after the radiator and hose were replaced, my car overheated while I was stuck in LA traffic, and to get home in Irvine, I had to blast the heater with the windows down to keep the system cool and it was brutal. So I brought my car back to Midas for repair, they said the hose was loose so they tightened it, and I was satisfied with the answer and went on my way. Then later in the same year, I noticed that my coolant fluid was running low very frequently, even though I constantly filled it up. So I brought the car back for them to check and this time it had to do with the radiator cap, so they replaced it. The same problem persisted earlier this year with the coolant fluid level running low frequently. Very frustrated and traumatized by the LA overheating experience, I brought my car to a mechanic friend of mine to check, and he pointed out all the leaks in the radiator and I took pictures of the leaks. Knowing that the parts & repair were still under warranty, I brought my car back to Midas for them to check and repair, and after waiting a couple of hours because they were busy with other clients' cars, they pressure tested the cooling system and gave me their result - the radiator was fine and they didn't detect any drop in pressure and concluded that the hose must be loose, again. Knowing without a doubt that they bullshitted me, I showed them the pictures that I took earlier that same day when I was with my mechanic friend. THEN they said they would check the radiator again, and proceeded to tell me that they found the leaks, and would replace the radiator. Only, because I SHOWED them pictures of the leaks that were easily found by my mechanic friend. Oh, and once the radiator was replaced, they suggested that I should have my rear brakes replaced because they were at ~25%. Noted, I had my rear brakes replaced back in April 2017, and this whole radiator situation occurred in May 2018. I went to another mechanic to get my oil change today, October 5, 2018, and they said that my rear brakes were at around 50%, and that they were fine. Crazy how brakes restore over time right? Sarcasm. Needless to say, I caught them bullshitting me, and enough is enough. Trustworthy mechanics are far and few, and Tustin Midas has completely lost my trust. I will NOT be coming back again. The only reason I gave them 2-star review instead of 1-star was because they honored their service warranty. If you have good experiences with them, and they have treated you well, please feel free to disregard my perspective. read more

Marco and David may be the last two honest mechanics on the planet! Jokes aside, I came in on one occasion with several nails in my tire (the girlfriend special) Marco was really polite and quoted me $20 for the repair and labor, which I was more than happy to pay. After watching one of the mechanics breaking his back to get all the hardware out of my tire. (This man was working hard!) I attempted to tip him $5 and he refused. I went inside, again, happy to pay $20 and Marco says something to the effect of, "For your troubles, this ones one us!" Certainly not what I'm used to and when in a bad situation, is extremely appreciated! My most recent visit, just a few days ago. I witnessed Marco handle two customers who I would refer to as idiots, with a whole lot of patience and class, all while being extremely busy. Shorty there after, the phone rang, my ease-dropping ass gathered that the caller was inquiring about a part. Marco told the caller he'd get right on! My fellow yelpers, he did!!!He got right back on the phone and did his own inquiring. I was very impressed by his work-ethic and ability to maintain his professionalism in such a stressful environment. My issues that day were minor, however, auto repair is expensive!! David, the manager, was not eager to try and get my money. He even walked me out to the rack to show me just how minor my problem really was. These guys are honest and personable. My Mom, in bad conscience, went somewhere else today and got tires. She felt she was getting some bad info and I suggested she call David. She'd did and once again, another happy customer. Once again Midas is just awesome! Atleast this one is~ my car had some bad wipers and needed replacement so my husband took it to Midas and the guy said it was $20 dollars total. My husband is a soldier so he asked if there was any military discount and he told me that ( I think it was Alan) he appreciated his service and didn't charge him!! I have been taking my car to Midas for the past year for regular oil changes and other maintenance. I am so impressed with the customer service at this shop. They have always been honest with me about my car, they never try and sell you additional parts you do not need. My car is always ready when they say it will be and they always try to make sure I use a coupon and get a fair price. I called asking for my tired to be fixed as there was an obvious nail in my tire. I was told to bring it in, no problem. Took 20 minutes, was told i was good to go. I drive for perhaps 5 minutes to a meeting i am now late for (not blaming them for speed of service) and the tire sensor pops back on, with the same tire. Stop at a gas ststion and i see the same nail. I was severely upset. I filled the tire, met my client and excused myself briefly to call and complain To their credit they apologized and sent a guy over to fix their mistake. Guy shows up, appears to fix the tire, and i even buy the guy a beer because he said his boss was supremely angry at him. After my meeting a couple hours later, my tire is flat again, and i have to refill with air. This of course happens after they are closed. I had to visit another shop and pay again to get the work done correctly. I cancelled appointments and lost money the following day because of this poor work. Technically the speed of the service was fine, but the services rendered sucked. Avoid this shop. read more
