Issue 1: Alternator - Nissan Maxima 1990 So I started bringing my business to this Midas in Tustin about 1yr ago that includes 4 cars. I was about to transfer my business away again because of pricing, until I was traveling to S.F. 1wk after I had driven to S.F. the new Alternator that Midas had installed in Tustin went out on me. So I took it to a local Midas in the Bay area to have them replace it. But because I didn't purchase and install it at that location, they were going to charge me for a new one. Fortunately, I always Scan my service records into a PDF document and had it on my phone & iPad, so I showed it to them & made them call the Tustin location. Alan the manager in Tustin Midas got on the phone, and in 2min. they handed me my keys and said it was taken care of!!! No cost to me! Great Customer Service while traveling. What a blessing that was! Lesson to all: Scan your auto service records into PDF, and add the APP - Dropbox on your phone or Ipad to keep your records, especially when on a road trip. Issue 2: Car Stalls on Cold Start - Nissan Maxima 2001 Saturday 3 wks ago my wife drives her car to get an oil change, and the car stalls on her. So the tech drives her car across the parking lot over to Midas/Tustin. They say its an Airflow sensor that needs to be replaced. So, $400 and we think it's done. Sunday Morning, the car doesn't start so we take it back. They said to drive it awhile and let the car adjust. So I drive the car to Santa Barbara for the week, thinking that will be a true road test. 2wks ago i'm back because it's still stalling. So, Alan & the Midas/Tustin team start probing more determined to find what's wrong. and $800 later including some break work, they have it fixed! Issue 3: Check Engine Light/Car Stalls on Cold Start - Nissan Maxima 2001 So, this past Saturday I take the car back to Midas/Tustin and speak to Alan. This time Alan gets personally involved and not only stays past closing to ensure he gets the specific part delivered, He called through out the day to keep me posted! Go in Sunday Morning to get the car and Adam set me up with a Rental-Car. Now that's Customer Service. Not only did he keep me posted on to the progress, but explains in detail what the issues are in terms that I could understand. today, he informs me that he has contracted a Nissan specialist to look into the problem and they found that the on-board computer was contaminated and shorted out. But Alan said he was taking care of all the hours that they have INVESTED into fixing the problem from Saturday - Thursday charging me basically charging me what equates to a 50% discount on labor and replacement of the on-board computer just to keep my wife happy and me as a repeat customer! It is for this reason and the repeated attention to Customer Loyalty that I will continue to bring my business to Midas/Tustin and working with Alan. That includes my Jaguar XK!!! I stopped in because of an oil leak and they did a good job listening to me giving the recent history and then they clearly explained to me the situation and next steps. They even gave me me oil dye, complimentary, so that my mechanics back in LA could more easily spot the leak after I put enough miles on it. read more

Al was amazing, he was able to fix my daughters transmission. It took him 12 hours but charged me for 8. He also went out of his way to get her a rental car so she could get to school and work. Called to make apt for oil change, the guy was very polite when he answered phone. I get to the shop in the morning. The owner was very rude and unprofessional and started yelling at me ...stated I abuse the oil change here that I'm polluting the air and not going to change my oil again when its not time when clearly it was time. He also said I only come here for oil change and damn right because I don't trust them last time I wnt was over a year ago and they messed up my oil cap had to replace for $100. Never aain will I go there!! Owner is not a owner if he yells at his paying customers and especially a woman!! read more

Price is always reasonable and customer service is at best. But what's more important is I can trust my car with them. I've been through regular oil changes, tire, break and valve cover gasket replacements with them. And each time, I felt like I was taken care of along with my car. Don't even think about it, just come here! I went today to get my brake pads replaced and I must say I not only got that. But the cost price isn't better anywhere and tremendous great customer service. Not only does allan the manager take care of you. He takes make sure you know whats bad and how to take care of it. We had just returned from cruise and needed to drive back to Texas. Staff was assisting other guest, but could tell right away that Allan took pride in his work by his smile and ensuring customer satisfaction. We didn't have an appointment, they looked packed. I am so happy I gave these guys a try! I have been a loyal customer for years at Just Tires in the same parking lot...but after they switched management, everything went to crap. I was walking around like a chicken with my head cut off not knowing where to take my car. I read the Midas reviews and gave them a shot. So happy I did! The customer service is awesome and the first time I went in, Henry was so helpful in letting me know what the problem with my car was. They fixed my brakes (which weren't properly flushed out when JT did them. (Just Tires, not Justin Timberlake ). They gave me a great deal to get my car back on the up and up. Today I came in because my drivers rear tire kept losing air. Tim was super helpful at the front desk, and Manny worked on my car last time too. He's efficient! Super great guys. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes for the tire. (I had a nail in it). I would highly suggest making an appointment if you don't have a simple tire issue. I made that mistake the first time. The people who had appointments were in and out. But if you just have a leaky tire, no need for an appointment! Just take it around back! If you care for your car and don't want to spend extra money on oil change and other stuff to keep you car running good then MIDAS is the place for you to visit...I was looking for Oil change in the area and after calling 10 places i found MIDAS by driving by, i walked in and they were very busy but they still went out of their way to get my car in since i had to leave and rive back to LA asap and top of all this they gave me a amazing price, at least $50-$60 lower then other places, it took max 15-20 minutes and i was out of there! Wife put our Tahoe to work! Needed brakes for both rear and front and rotors replaced! Took it in yesterday and got it all taken care of! Talked to Allen first and was referred to David Z! After haveing a terrible week because my car failed to start many times and stalling while driving, i ended up having to get towed to this Midas. this was actually my second place to go and see if they could help me cause the Perfect auto next door was really rude. As I entered I was greeted by the Friendly owner/ GM Mr. Alan Hallenbeck, I shook his hand and explained what was going on with me car. He put at easy and began to let me know how he was going to help me and the steps....The Rest is magic. I left there extremely satisfied, the price was fair, the car runs loke new.... this being my first experience at a midas, it was awesome, thru out my wait He let me know what was going on, we spoke and joked around while I waited. These guys are great! I have been taking my vehicle to this shop for 4 years now. Power steering repair, radiator replacement, a water pump fix, new rotors, tires and alignment .. They do it all! The owner of the shop Alan is a down to earth, well educated, sincere gentlemen who always accommodates his clients. The shop never attempts to upsell you, and they almost always go out of their way to provide excellent customer satisfaction. Came in because of the other positive Yelp reviews and now I'm leaving one myself! These guys are very focused on customer service and were friendly and reasonable from the beginning. I had to get new brake pads and rotors because the other folks servicing my car before failed to check my brakes.
