DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE I took my car to this Midas FOUR TIMES and spent almost $2,000 while they kept replacing parts that never fixed the original issue. Some of the parts/work they installed even had to be redone because what they installed was bad. After all of that, I got my car back and it broke down again less than 2 miles from the shop. It turned out the actual problem was ONE SIMPLE PART that they somehow failed to diagnose after multiple visits, towing my car, and charging me for all kinds of other repairs. When I called Kyle and asked for a refund after everything they put me through, he refused. I was also talked to like a child instead of a customer who had already paid them thousands of dollars and given them multiple chances to fix the car correctly. They took my money, replaced parts that did not solve the problem, had me come back FOUR TIMES, and still never fixed what I originally brought the car in for. Save your money and take your car somewhere else. It's apparent that other higher-rated shops are aware of Kyle, it's unfortunate how it is known for situations like this with customers' vehicles. the employees were nice but they definitely didn't communicate correctly. We went in because our check engine light was on. I had O'Riley's test it and it told me it was the VVT Solenoids. I called Midas and they said they would still have to charge me the $116 to test the engine and see what was wrong. They got the same result. They quoted me $2200 for work that included a bunch of things I didn't need and couldn't pay for. I did the bare minimum (the work was half the cost), paid $1900 for everything, and was told that the parts were replaced but now it was the knock sensor. they said they checked it and it looked fine so it "had to be me since I was behind on my oil change" and that I would have to replace the engine. I asked if it still ran and they said it sure did. They test drove it and it ran great. We picked it up and the same issues we were having were still there. My husband took it back and they said that it would be like that because of the engine. Not even 24 hours later, it quit working all together. So I paid for parts I didn't need and now have a vehicle that doesn't work. I would not recommend the Midas on Seneca. Note to the employees too, might not want to talk about how you had to charge another customer $7000 in work, for his vehicle, in front of other customers. Another customer came in before me and said the work they did for his vehicle was crap as well. I should have taken both comments as red flags but I guess I learn from my mistakes. read more

Got quote for alternator from shop in Wichita for $650. They were booked for a week so I decided to get 2nd quote and calked Midas who quoted $950. I told them i had a quote for $650 and they decided they could take off $200 all of the sudden. Absolutely criminal and I don't understand how they can get away with it read more

they overcharge you like crazy!!! I needed my muffler pipe repaired as it was broken and they quoted me $220. Went to Bill's Muffler instead and got it done for $85, same day and within 30mins. Don't waste your money. read more

have gone to midas for awhile, first started going for the convenience but have been impressed by them to say the least. they helped me tremendously with figuring out insurance issues with state farm. state farm tried to screw me over several times and they helped me through the whole process. they did good work on my f-250 and have had zero issues with them. they have been far more than helpful and just straight up nice to me. their communication and service keeps me coming back. so far they have finished my complex repairs quicker than expected. I don't know much about the seneca location but the rock road location has been fantastic. highly recommend. read more

2 trips to south seneca store for draining battery and ignition sticking. refered to rock road master tech. told battery holds charge checked 3 times no issue and sent home. next day truck is now totally dead when ignition turned on. total waste of 8 days without vehicle to have nothing done but charge for repeated diagnostics no issue found?!? worthless service! and excessive charges to do nothing to resolve issue in shop for total of 3 visits. read more

I brought my car in for an alignment and to fix a tire one time and had no issues. So I had my fiancé go there with her vehicle and they tried to upsell her with almost $3,000 of work when all it actually needed was $775 done. Absolutely joke. Will nickel and dime you and seem to do it to women!? I literally had her vehicle get an oil change at the dealership and a multi point inspection and then Midas said it needed a new oil pan!? lol unbelievable. Make sure you know cars so they don't sell you crap you don't need. Don't really trust this place anymore. read more

New in town and needed oil change. Knew the Midas name so went with them. Surprised about the tire rotation with oil change so told them go ahead, "BUT, be careful with the lug nuts. The Sport Trac comes with the caps on the lug nuts and if you are not careful they will break." Told them another place broke a few a had to replace them. They said OK they'd be careful but would not guarantee if any broke. I should have left then but went ahead with the work. Well, I just had to buy 6 new lug nuts to replace the ones that were a different size. Luckily I discovered them while removing a flat tire in my own driveway rather than on the highway somewhere without the right size lug wretch. Hope more people see this before their decision. read more

I've had my tire packed here, my alignment done (for a manual) oil changes and engine coil replaced, my 2011 Kia Soul runs like a dream. Just got a call from one of Midas peoples trying to make it sound like they're mechanics do deserve $235 an hour instead of the basic shop rate of $120 so they basically told me they weren't going to refund me the money since they overcharged me almost twice as much as I should have been charged there's a lot of shops out there that will charge you a Shop rate and be fair about it will not overcharge you and still do a quality job I do not recommend Midas I am a American disabled veteran thought for our country blood for our country I recommend All American citizens and Veterans to go to a shop that will support us and be fair to us all read more

I was told it would be a wait but I kind of did not expect to be waiting from 10:30am till 2:30pm. 2 off the associates were really nice and one was a complete A and had a tone that I did not appreciate regarding my wait time. I arrived for an oil change at 12:30 as was told it would be 20 minutes. My car stuck on the lift and was told it would be hours or possibly even days for them to get it down. No apologies for the wait and six hours later I was able to get my car. Was offered no discount, no benefits for my troubles. Overpriced oil change, no respect for customers, and horrible wait time. Well after 2 additional transmissions there was still problems. The gasket leaked so bad and two locations was unable to fix the leak. We had to drive to car to Texas with the leak, adding fluid along the way. Got there an took it to Eagle Transmission in Plano, Texas and they fixed it on the very first try without a problem. The mechanical said "This was an easy fix, they just don't know what they are doing". Midas did pay for the repairs but this ordeal was a total mess. If you can avoid it, don't use Midas at all, especially near and around Wichita and McPherson Kansas. read more

I had my car serviced on May 11, 2016 at 3330 North Rock. My front left tire was visibly low(~20 psi), the other 3 tires were ~32psi. The service person reported the left front tire as 2psi low, which was completely incorrect. It was around 12psi low. Instead of looking further into the issue, the service person just aired up the left front tire. My windshield wiper fluid was empty when I brought my car in for service, the service person failed to fill the windshield wiper fluid, it was still empty when I left the service center. A little back story on the left front tire. In 2015, Midas on 3330 North Rock. The service person said that the was a valve problem with the front left tire, and did the repair for $20. The repair did not fix the leak, and the tire still has the slow leak. The shop had alot of customer traffic, with limited technical staff. I can understand why the ordeal took 2 hours from entering the store to leaving. My bill was $143, including a full service synthetic oil and filter change and tire rotation, and a wheel balance. The front desk person gave me a $10 discount because of the long wait(I didn't complain about the wait). Midas failed to repair my leaking tire with 2 opportunities, I will not be returning. Although the vehicle service was poor, the front desk customer service was great. read more

This place is the definition of good, friendly customer service. I had to wait upon my vehicle for about 3 hours, so I had the chance to observe numerous interactions between the office people, manager, or mechanics and several customers (some of whom were rude). All the employees were nice and respectful and I appreciate when they sit down with you to review the work that's being done or has been done on your vehicle. Nice people, but obviously bad technicians. I had them install a new battery and tires. The battery was not installed (though they told me it was and charged me for it). I only found out when my old battery died days later and left me stranded. Also recently found out they installed one of my tires incorrectly (backwards). Won't go back. read more

Took my vehicle in for an oil change and had them look at my wheel bearings while I was there. The service tech came and told me that I needed to pay 1,686 dollars to get the wheel bearings new tires and put on. The tech told me if I didn't get them done today I was risking my life by driving the car over 30 mph. I took it to another mechanic and they told me I had slight wear on my wheel bearings but they were not going to kill me anytime soon while I drove. I called the manager at midas and told him I was unhappy that they tired to used scare tactics to get my business. I then talked to the regional manager Zack and he told me he didn't use scare tactics and doesn't want me to ever set foot inside a midas again. read more

We took our van here to have it re-aligned after another Midas shop in Colorado didn't do it right. My wife waited 2 hours while they worked on it. When she got it back, they didn't give her any paperwork and told her the Colorado shop had, "really screwed it up." It still was pulling to the left and when I called back, I got the same dog and pony show that Colorado had given me, that it was done by computer and there was "no way" it could be done wrong. Well, I just took it to my local shop who said it was "way off." And now when I drive, it drives straight. So if you need an alignment or any other work, I'd suggest you go elsewhere. read more

I traveled to Whichita, KS for my Grandson Orientation at WSU. While there I experienced a flat tire the morning of his Orientation, when I came out of the Hotel. You could probably imagine how upset I was when I saw that flat tire, with only a few minutes to get him to WSU for Orientation that morning. AAA came out and changed the flat tire and placed the spare on my car. Those of you who have experience a flat know what I'm talking about. That small donut tire that comes with the purchase of your car. So I headed out to find a Goodyear, that's where I purchased my tires at the Plano TX location. I went to Kansas Land Tires, based off the sign out front I though they were affiliated with Goodyear, well to my surprise they were not and I was told it would be a 2hr wait. Since I had an appointment at Financial Aid office, I didn't have time to wait. I than went to Tires Plus and was told it would be 4hrs. I noticed a Midas over by the Hotel, so I called them , they immediately told me to come in and they would take care of me, and that's exact what they did, they repaired my flat tires, walked me through other issues that they saw that needed immediate attention. The Manager Tom Kazyak took real good care of me. I HIGHLY recommend you let Tom handle all your vehicle needs they are great, polite, and very professional. I created a Yelp account just to post this. I am getting my car ready to sell to my parents. I just bought my car a year and a half ago from Mel Hambelton. Just a few months ago, I had the car serviced by them, including a full tire rotation and everything. Two days ago, my parents had the car taken to their mechanic that they have gone to for years to have it checked over and a few things replaced that had gone bad with regular wear and tear. He checked everything over because they wanted the car in great shape for when they bought it. This included the breaks system. He found a screw in one of the tires and suggested we take it somewhere that works specifically on tires to see if they could patch it. This is how we ended up at Midas. They checked the tire and it seemed fine. When they called me, they said they suggested we do their Free break inspection because my breaks looked rusted. I didn't know that my parent's mechanic had just checked everything, so I went ahead and said yes because I didn't want them purchasing my car if the breaks were bad. When they called me back, the guy told me that all four break hoses had cracks in them and needed replaced. I told him I just had them looked at by our personal mechanic. He said "well, he didn't look at the breaks." I replied and said its my mother's car at this point and she doesn't want you guys messing with anything. He then LAUGHED and said ok and that the car would be ready to pick up in 30 minutes. Almost an hour later, I get there to pick the car up and it's still on the jack with all four tires off and the hood open (not sure what they needed to be doing under the hood). I walked in and the front desk girl goes to talk to someone about my car. I see them chatting for a bit while she is staring at me. She comes back and says that I need to see the break hoses. A mechanic comes out and proceeds to show me the drivers side break hoses. The back one had little holes in it and the front one was completely falling apart. I find it very hard to believe that two different machine shops in a short amount of time, including Mel hambelton, would say those were fine. I find it hard to believe that two days prior, those hoses were fine. I find it interesting that they get you by offering a free break inspection because of rust, yet they said nothing about rust when they showed me. I find it interesting that all four hoses have gone bad at the same time. The hoses were fine two days ago and somehow, after they convince me I need a break inspection because of rust, my breaks are to the point that, as the guy told me on the phone, it's like in the movies when you hit your breaks and nothing happens. I call complete bullshit. They messed with my breaks and wanted to charge me $850 for it. I'll be making some phone calls. I have to give them some credit. I did receive a phone call regarding my experience. As an update, we took my car back to our mechanic and he said the break hoses were fine. So really, it came across as a scare tactic to get me to spend money. However, they did offer a free oil change, which they didn't have to do. They said it was unintentional the way it came across. Hopefully they can take a little more consideration as to who and how they are coming across. read more
