3.5/5 Small, intimate spot with a cozy vibe, perfect for lunch meetings, chill night out, or something simply alone! Truffle Fries (not pictured): The guys split them and immediately went into "no complaints", which is basically a standing ovation in man‑language. Salmon Over Dirty Rice: Salmon? Nailed it. Perfectly cooked, great flavor. Étouffée sauce? Also a win. The rice? A little mushy, and once you notice it, it becomes the main character. Still tasty, just a texture miss. Service: Our server was running the restaurant, the bar, and probably the power grid. One woman show. Total trooper. Still friendly, still on top of it. A solid spot with great service and dishes that are this close to being excellent.

When me and some friends visited they had a dj playing really good music and kept everyone entertained. The food was amazing. Me and another friend got the salmon special. Another friend got chicken wings and fries. And my duo got fried cat fish. They ordered a couple drinks as well. The customer service was amazing. The food was good too.

Stopped by for girls night to catch the and unfortunately, I was not a fan of the food and drinks. The parking was valet only, very easy and convenient. The ambiance was very cute with dim lighting and nice seating of booths and tables. Our server was great and very friendly. My only issue was with the food, pictured was the "Lobster Mac and Cheese" that my friend and I ordered...no lobster meat, very cheesy and oily. All of our drinks were extremely watered down but the bar was very busy that night. We really enjoy the atmosphere and the appetizers but I can't say I will be back unless there are some improvements.

We purchased tickets for a NYE event for the heated tent section. Seeing how nice the pics of the restaurant were, we thought the tent would be just as nice/elegant. Wrong. We arrived earlier enough to get situated & seated, so we were the 1st ones to scope out said tent. It looked like something put together in somebody's backyard for a graduation party or as a few of us joking called it, "the Overflow". Smh The restaurant itself is already but so big. We asked the hostess if we could be seated indoors & she followed up with the manager who reportedly claimed that all of the tables were reserved, but the flyer also said that paying for a section didn't guarantee seating after 1030pm. We sat at the "bar" area near the entrance & ordered a drink. We were already out & decided to make the best of it while we waited for the rest of our party. We also got front row seats to everyone's reactions to said tent - folks were migrating indoors & one couple was either lucky enough to get seated in their closed in patio area or they paid. Our homeboi came & got us out da ghetto. You could literally see the handicap parking sign on the side of our table. Staff was tryna hype it up, but you could tell folks felt a way & rightfully so! When yall run out of seats for what's supposed to be an elegant event - it's a wrap. Don't be greedy & jip folks --- in this economy!? Come on, bruh. Smh Food was surprisingly really good, our server (Meka) was cool af, but idk if I'll be back.

Came here for brunch traveling to ATL from DC ... overall this place is 6/10. The valet only situation is very annoying, the karaoke was fun at first but it became overbearing with noise and screaming. The inside was small & super busy! I do appreciate the host for being attentive and quick to help she was able to get me seated within 20-25 mins. The server was polite and friendly but the food was underwhelming not as flavorful as expected so we finished the brunch off with green tea shots.

The food was good! But we had to wait about an hour even though we had a reservation. They don't care about what specific table you booked even though it allows you to book certain tables inside or patio. The drinks were good we had bottomless mimosas. The Dj was lit. Definitely go on Saturday at noon but with a reservation

Midtown Social definitely delivers an Atlanta brunch experience. Came for a group outing with about 10 others. I wouldn't recommend this spot for large groups. The reservation was for 9 but the seating was for 8. Try to keep it under 6 guests if you do come with a group. Sunday brunch is a party vibe, with the live DJ, loud music, and plenty of dancing. Don't expect to be able to talk to one another, just dance, eat, & drink. The food was good and service was adequate especially considering the group size. They offer valet parking, however when I arrived we were directed to park in the self parking lot across the street, even tho I was willing to pay for valet to avoid the walk. It's a short walk. Be careful as there is no sidewalk. Valet is $20-$21, self park is $11.

Context: this was my second time coming here. The first time was after hours, so it wasn't very busy, there were no wait times, parking fees, or 90 minute table seatings. The second time was Sunday brunch and it came with all of that. I'm not upset at either of these because it's Atlanta and I expect that much, but the service once I got to my table, after being on the waitlist for over an hour was poor at best. I sat at the bar and waited for my friends and ordered 2 drinks and a hookah. The bartender was great! Once my friends arrived we still waited at the bar for over 25 minutes for a table. After several more minutes I went back up to the host stand and she said something about how a table just opened up. Great! We get to the table and the server came and she was visibly rushed. We ordered the dussey tower that was supposed to come with 3 drinks, they sent it out with 2 attached and said they ran out of glasses for it, and asked if we wanted another in a regular glass...of course we do. I ordered the fried fish and grits and that was really the saving grace because our food was very good. They kept sending several bar backs and servers around asking if we were done with our drinks that clearly still had drinks in them. Then at about 60 minutes of sitting, the waitress said our time was up and that they were trying to fit one more table in before brunch was over. That's when I had to step in. She said she would go get her manager who eventually came out right when the 90 minute mark had approached (I know because I asked to see the time we ordered our first plate at the table). I hate to get so technical, but I hate poor service even more. Otherwise the DJ was great, the vibes were fun, but definitely would've been better.

I came to midtown social with the girls for Saturday brunch. I ordered the salmon and grits and it was really delicious. The service was also very fast considering we were a group of 8 but I did have to give them a point off for cleanliness (the server handed over a lipstick stained coffee mug and attempted to wipe it off with her hands ...yuck. I told her to just bring a new CLEAN cup of coffee) and lack of parking. Overall it was a great brunch spot and they have karaoke. So if you're up for food with some fun I suggest you come on down

One of them atlanta brunch places lol loud DJ, fake grass wall, hookah, and lemon drops lol Got the salmon grits, it was so fishy and the grits were gunky. Drinks were decent, a little slow and just lack of execution.

Fried chicken dinner with mac n cheese sand asparagus and hot honey sauce. I got my chicken made without the breading.

Listen, the food here is good as hell, but the music was so loud I could barely hear myself think. And our server had been speaking so loudly all day that by the time my friend and I got there she'd lost her voice. $21 for valet parking is also unnecessary. We self parked for $11 instead (still overpriced for an hour stay if you ask me). The vibe is okay overall but for the love of God, please turn down the music. Hope this helps.

We decided to embark on the dinner and movie night on Wednesday here and I'm glad that we did! The service was amazing ,very friendly and accommodating. The staff that made it a great night and you should look for are : Maggie Johnni Starr Syndia Josh I know the service was 100/10 they all stepped up during my 2 hour visit. We watched the movie Brown Sugar.. which is a classic. So the movie selection was great. Every table was sat so the crowd was nice and grown folk like! (Iykyk) The food was good as well. We tried the crispy sweet chili wings (all flats of course) with truffle fries, fried shrimp, yams, mac n cheese and lemon cello cake for dessert. Everything was tasty and would order again. They even gave us popcorn for the movie! Available buttered or flavored if that's your fancy! Overall the experience was amazing for a quick mid week night out. Give it a try it's a vibe!

I really enjoyed myself here, honestly more than I was expecting to. I really mainly came for vibes honestly lmao but I enjoyed pretty much every aspect of it. It is a nice set up in there. It's definitely a good place for a vibe dinner type of experience. I went for taco Tuesday because they had a five dollar deal and I definitely enjoyed what I ordered. I got the chicken and ground beef tacos and I usually prefer ground beef in my Mexican food but the chicken taco ended up being way better and I really enjoyed it. Of course you cannot go somewhere like here and expect authentic Mexican tacos and they certainly were not authentic, but I actually really enjoyed them so no complaints on the food. I honestly wanted to order more but they also require you to get a minimum of two so I decided not to. Our server was sweet. I feel like she could've came around a little bit more but she was nice and helpful and attentive overall. I definitely like the ambience a lot. It is a fun environment and taco Tuesday for them is also an R&B bingo. I decided to participate in the game and I ended up winning! I ended up getting a prize and also added some music to my music library because they played songs that I forgot about so it was truly a win-win experience. I very much am adding this place to my list and I would for sure come back.

The Worst Bar Experience We've Had in Atlanta…read more We visited this place with a group of friends for drinks and food, but from the moment we arrived, it failed to live up to the hype. The restaurant enforces a two-hour table limit, yet it took nearly 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Even after ordering, basic service was lacking. We weren't given enough plates, and no cutlery was provided. We repeatedly had to track down our waitress just to get the essentials. The food was probably the only positive aspect of the visit, although it was average at best. What was most disappointing was the way one of the staff members (their DJ) spoke to my friend when she was trying to take her child to the restroom. The interaction was unnecessarily rude and left a very negative impression. I've visited hundreds of restaurants and bars around Atlanta and have never experienced such poor service. Between the disorganized staff, lack of basic hospitality, and rude treatment of customers, this is not a place I would recommend. I will not be returning.

This is a Belgian-inspired brewery, restaurant, bookstore, and beer garden all under one roof. Bold Monk is located in the Upper Westside of Atlanta, near Chattahoochee Food Works and Topgolf Atlanta Midtown. There's plenty of free parking around the building and on the street (Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW). I like the space here because there are various spaces inside and "outside" to spread out and hang out. I put "outside" in quotes because their patio is fully covered and enclosed -- good for bad weather. I had the Presence Pilsner (lager, 4.8%, 16 oz, $7). It was cold, crisp, and refreshing. I recommend it. The menu describes it as offering a "soft bready malt, delicate herbal and floral hop notes, and clean, dry finish." For dinner, I had the Salmon Dip ($16) to start and the Steak + Frites (market price) as my main. The Salmon Dip is made with house-cured salmon and tarragon aioli, and comes with thin toast triangles. The Steak + Frites is "chef's cut" (not sure which, didn't ask) and comes with Bearnaise, arugula, and Belgian frites (fries). The Bearnaise went great with both the steak and the fries. Bold Monk is known for their Belgian Frites, "The Original French Fry," which comes with a variety of sauces and in a few different styles. They also offer a variety of mussels and pizza. My buddy had one of the pizzas, "the 1838," I believe, which comes with different mushrooms, mozzarella, and house-made truffle ricotta. He seemed to enjoy it. The pizzas - the 1836, the 1899, the 1838, the 1850, and the 1862 - are all named after years that monasteries opened in Europe. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out just right. The quality of the cut was average/about what you'd expect for budget-friendly steak frites (it's no Bar Blanc in terms of cut quality). But still, that and the Salmon Dip were tasty and satisfying enough. Good service from both our server and the host/manager, who made sure my friend did not leave his jacket behind. Bold Monk opened in December 2019.
