Midway Mercantile is amazing! I have eaten here a number of times and it is excellent every time, no matter what I get.

We were excited they were open late so we could get dinner. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, seats are hard, cozy atmosphere (the window was wide open, bringing the outdoors in), and lots of delicious items on the menu. The Wagyu beef special didn't impress me for $38. A filet mignon would've probably been better. It was not tender or melt-in-your-mouth as Wagyu should be. The scalloped potatoes have a crunchy top, weird mixture of sliced russets with yams, they slide all over when cutting. The carrots were either overcooked or old, couldn't tell, but they had decent flavor. Pork tenderloin is what I should've ordered. Topped with a tangy succulent sauce, plenty of tender meat, and all the fixings piled underneath. If you like scallops and bacon, you should dig these! The grits add a sweet but savory texture to the sea creatures with plenty for one person. Our buddy got a cheeseburger, and I'm a little jealous after my disappointing Wagyu beef. The chairs are pretty heavy and screech loudly when they're moved, so I suggest taking a bathroom break before or after you sit down. read more

Really enjoyed this place. A bit pricey and fancy-ish but really good. Great food options and all seemed delicious. Great seating options with open windows and Mountain View's. Located right on Main Street in small town, midway Utah. We tried the special - Wagu Steak.... omg tender, juicy and amaze. The Parmesan encrusted pork tenderloin was sooooo good too. So good, every time. I've never had a more perfect Caesar salad before?! The pizza is amazing, steak delicious. Love the cozy atmosphere and how large it is inside. Cocktails are great. The little wine hatch is super cute to see. Service is usually good, sometimes when it's busy it's a bit slow, but the servers are always so sweet. read more

Used to be one of my favorites but now not so much. They are trying to pack in too many covers at one time and certainly can't accommodate the numbers. The back tented room is for those put to pasture. Specifically requested not to be seated there when I booked my res, and sure enough was seated in the vast cold space at picnic like tables. And if you don't go to check-in stand to ask for a server it's unlikely anyone will find you in the back. 10 minutes till water on table, 1 hour wait from ordering to entree. Fondu app was watery and citrus tasting, the pie slices came in tiny portions and over priced considering. Coming from Park City, was not worth the drive. Disappointed as we loved coming here. read more

I've had my eye on this place for awhile now. Midway is a gem that offers a lot of trending restaurants, this being one and it did not disappoint. I made reservations on Sunday and was seated out back on the patio in the perfect shaded table. It's so quaint and refreshing, I love the way they setup the back with the collection of potted plants. The food was incredible. There was so much flavor in each dish, my family cleaned their plates including myself. Our order consisted of omelet, chefs special mahi mahi tuna tacos, eggs benedict, and biscuits and sausage gravy. I will for sure be visiting this place again. read more

Two stars for the decor. We came in with high expectations because we loved the look and feel, but we're quickly disappointed with the food and service. We ordered a salad with salmon, received a salad with chicken. We ordered some intriguing dishes that all ended up being rather boring. Our server was MIA for our group most of the night, the mussels and clams were not fresh, pizza was a mistake and the oysters did not taste good and did not even have the normal dressings. I really have nothing good to say about the food, all of it was low quality. Most of this could be our server. She messed up just about everything we ordered which makes everything not as good from the start. We ordered on calamari and two mussels, we got two calamari and one mussels. We ordered ice cream for one of the kids to keep them entertained and she forgot to put it in which was frustrating. This could be a great place if you're in Midway and looking for a trendy place to grab a drink, but if you're looking for a good dinner I would look elsewhere. read more

Cute house/restaurant and ambience.. struggling service? I dont want to harp on a local business but since they were very busy I would like to warn others not to order the coconut mussels or the salmon tacos. I can not speak to the rest of the menu as I cannot imagine returning for food so poorly executed. I love coconut mussels and all I could taste was soured seafood... as in spoiled (like a dirty old towel). Maybe the salmon tacos are ok baked but I asked for fried and was suprised they were little fried bits of salmon that were maybe dredged in just flour and deep fried (not a nice tempura or beer batter fry).. there were also only two tacos, so more coleslaw than tacos. Our server forgot three items throughout the meal. We always tip and never complain so I would just steer clear of those items and hope for the best! read more

1,482 miles from home and I would drive back again in a heartbeat!!! Well, well, well, did we ever luck out and make our way into an absolute gem! Our experience was a full 5 star event and we would give them many more if Yelp allowed. The service was beyond reproach. Our server (who I won't name but is a transplant from Arizona) was the perfect blend of friendliness and attentiveness (more the latter in a bit). We had a really wonderful conversation with her and it really helped make a spectacular meal even better. We started out with the fondue appetizer. It comes with yellow peppers, apples and homemade bread as dippers. We quickly tore through the bread and before we could even ask for more our server was already bring more out. I don't know how you get anymore attentive than that! Our meals were the nightly special for pasta, the nightly special for steak, the charred Caesar salad and the hamburger. Each were excellent and skillful prepared! The steak was marinated in tequila! Who does that?!?!? The Midway Mercantile is who and it was great! We finished with the hot fudge sundae and blueberry pie. The sundae was large enough for 6 people and the crust on the pie is better than any grandmother's you'll ever find. We came for a late dinner and were pleasantly surprised to see Midway Mercantile was still open. The place has a nice, upscale decor and inviting atmosphere. The menu has a lot of different options - many unique combinations of flavors and new twists on American homemade favorites. I had the parmesan incrusted pork loin. Food service was reasonably quick and the pork did not disappoint. A succulent piece of meat with a luscious salty crust and tender, juicy meat inside served with a light sauce on top over a bed of balsamic covered pasta. We also had the wagyu steak. Each bite was a juicy, salty mix of deep beef flavor. Prices were not cheap but justifiable considering the quality of ingredients and the food options. Our server was helpful in guiding us to the best of the menu and attentive with orders & drink menus. Portions were large so we didn't have room for appetizers or dessert but will be back again. read more

If you had opened this restaurant 5 years ago I'd be screaming that this is the place we've been waiting for. Now, there's very strong competition in other places nearby. Sadly, we still prefer them after this visit. Now, I've bummed you out and not even reviewed this place. They are handling COVID distancing, and whatnot, well. Please visit. We started with oysters. That shows they are serious about doing fresh food. The proteins were good. I like they have lamb chops because that's one of our favorites. We walked away feeling they did nothing wrong, but not finding ourselves asking how fast we could get back. That's not normal for us. Perhaps it was just an off night for us, and a bit for them. That said, we probably need to try again because they were so close, and they are doing everything right. If I lived in the area I could see myself stopping here rather than driving to Heber. When I'm driving from Orem, going a bit further is easy. read more

Our friends visiting from Seattle actually introduced us to this fantastic bistro. We live nearby and can honestly say it's by far one of the best restaurants in the area. It's warm and friendly staff greet you immediately and the aromas from the kitchen draw you in as you enter. We sat next to the fireplace in the wait area, however, our hostess seated us within 2 min upon arrival! The service was incredible. Our server explained specials, took our appetizer, cocktail and dinner orders and checked on us throughout the meal - we were on our way to a great dining experience with one our closest friends. Highly skilled chef and attentive service easily makes this our favorite meal of 2022. The tenderloin, bouillabaisse and bolognese are highly recommended! After reading all the raving reviews, it was an easy choice for us to choose where we wanted to have our anniversary dinner. We made the 80 minute drive and since we had reservations, were seated fairly quickly. Unfortunately things went down hill pretty fast from there. We waited 15 minutes for our waitress to even greet us, and bring us water. She wasn't friendly and made us feel dumb for asking questions about the menu, in the areas it said "ask server". Upon placing our order we had to wait another 50 minutes for our food, and when it arrived it was cold. My husband ordered the steak that was on special, and it not only came cooked at the wrong temperature but was a different cut of steak all together. The chef did come out to ask how things were going but then left quickly and didn't come back to the table. We're no strangers to spending money at nice restaurants, but $160 later we will not be going back. Save your money and choose from one of the other great restaurants in the Midway/Heber area. read more

The best steak I have ever had in my life. The Zabutan had the most amazing flavor and tenderness. I was visiting Utah for the first time with a friend and we ate here twice in 5 days.
