My husband loves BBQ and was excited when Mighty Quinn opened a restaurant in our neighborhood. Unfortunately the prices are very high for what you get. We've had the best barbecue all over the states and although Quinn is good it's not the best. But if you order from Too Good to Go and are not picky about what you get you can try a little of Mighty Quinn's at a reasonable price. The restaurant is not very large. There is a counter at the side where you order and pick up your food. When I walked in I was confused where to go for my pickup but they told me to wait as they were packing the orders now. I didn't wait long. I showed them my app and they handed me the bag. When I got home the sausage and ribs were still warm. The sausage was juicy, spicy, and had a nice snap when you cut into it. The ribs were dry but flavorful. It was not fall off the bone but still tender. I love their saucy brussel sprouts. It might have been my favorite. I might even go back just to get more of it someday. The rice was ok. It's still good bbq here but expect to spend some money. read more

Noticed their Happy Hour menu - from 3-6pm weekends/3-7pm weekdays. Just a short list of food items $5-8; but can be changed up by picking different sauces. I like the spicy chile lime, and bbq flavors for the wings. The chicken sandwich was a good-size, with pickles only. Had brisket fries which has shredded meat (no chile sauce preferred); and mac n cheese fritters for our sides. We got a fruity Tropical Thunder cocktail $9 and beer $5@. It has been 8 years since we dined at Mighty Quinn's and like the last time, there was a lot to like. This was to go as it was late and I was heading down into the subway to get back to my hotel. Brisked Sandwich. The brisket was perfectly smoked with a nice crust and despite the 45 minutes it took to get to my hotel the bun help up nicely. The sauces were all tasty and in the end wished I had more . Burnt End Baked Beans: So often beans are like that cousin you don't want to invite over but have too, Not here. Perfect balance of sweet, savory and smokey with the chunks of burt end adding another layer to the them Pickles: I got quarts of the onion and pickles. I ordered food for takeout on a Saturday at 6pm. There was one person ordering in front of me. She took forever to decide. I patiently waited for my turn. Wish there could've been another worker helping but he was the lone protein server. I decided to get two 3 meat samplers (pulled pork, sausage, and ribs) (pulled pork, sausage and brisket). I also go a pint of Brussels sprouts. The cashier rang me up and gave me some pickles and coleslaw as well. Oh, the "butcher" opened up a brand new brisket for my order. It was delicious! Went here today for happy hour, we didn't understand how the ordering worked, so they have a build your own station and bar high tops, to take part of the happy hour you have to sit at the high tops and someone will approach you to to take your order. It didn't go to a good start as the table was really dirty and stained from a previous party. It was concerning because I wouldn't tip if this is how service is at this place. The table was a bit small for our party and I requested to replace the baby seat for another chair. They said they will be right back.... It has been forgotten. We finally ordered, both drinks and the family platter.. the waiting time is forever. Our drinks hadn't even come after 20 minutes, I've looked around and there was a large party at the bar area that wasn't there before and the staff were servicing them. To tell you the least, that is upsetting. I've made eye contact with our server and only then, after another 5 minutes our drinks finally came. The food followed and it wasn't great. We had jasmine rice, Mac & Cheese and the Roasted Sweet Potato's as our sides with the Brisket and Full Stack of Ribs. I guess the only thing edible was the ribs, the brisket was a little too dry. While my party enjoyed it, my dad and me were questioning the quality and taste of it. Since it is right by the movie theater, it was quite convenient. I can go right next door and get a bite to eat at a no-nonsense establishment. It's a serve yourself place, so no tip is necessary. I think for the amount of foot traffic, they need to be quicker with getting food out of the oven or wherever it is kept. Some guy complained that his food took 25 minutes, and they said that it would be right away. They did apologize, but that wasn't enough. I'm grateful that the food that I received didn't come out late. The food that I had was subpar. For a place where the main thing is bbq food, it isn't that great. It has a lot of burnt char and personally I love that. * When I ordered online the sides that came with it were small and tasted super sour. in house it was a great balance of flair and complimented the juicy meat. * Macaroni was the CREAMIEST macaroni I've ever had. It's not baked but it is cheesy and creamy with tons of black pepper and seasoning. I ordered a large and trust me you'll be so full. * The cornbread was so moist and soft too I was shocked the sweetness paired well with everything. AMBIANCE (pls refer to pics): THERES A BAR! I finally made it to Mighty Quinn's. The food was okay nothing to brag about. I had the bowl with white rice, burnt ends and Brussel Sprouts and the yams. The burnt ends were pretty dry, the yams I did not like so I took one taste of that and didn't like it, however the best thing in the bowl was the Brussel Sprouts those were really good. The service was cool it's just that you have to talk really loud to place your order because it's a lot going on in there. The ambiance was alright, the place is really small and tight so I wouldn't go in there with a party larger than 4 ppl and 4 ppl is pushing it. Sometimes I like a size of Mac n cheese and sometimes I like an order of brussel sprouts. My order is always correct, portions are consistent, and the food is good. In also keeping in mind the delivery time so while it may not be fresh, that's an effect of the delivery and not the food. I also want to point out then they also once called me when something I had ordered wasn't available and we were able to substitute the item with something else. Mighty Quinn's BBQ is great for a hearty meal. I'm so glad they moved to the neighborhood! Their smoked sausage is flavorful and juicy. You cannot go wrong with their caramelized Brussel sprouts. What surprised me the most was how addictive were their sweet candied potatoes and the cinnamon bun bread pudding. The bread pudding tasted like a smooth egg tart with cinnamon buttery flavor. The burnt ends had some fatty caramelized bits that was so wonderful. The pulled pork was juicy and flavorful. I cannot wait to try their Brontosaurus rib (18 hour smoked tender short rib). I had eaten at their Midtown Manhattan location a while back and was underwhelmed with both the ambiance and the food, but this Forest Hills location was really good! It is large and nicely decorated with a warm, inviting feel to it. The menu is not too large, and it doesn't need to be--they have almost everything you'd expect to find in a BBQ joint. To set off Father's Day Weekend correctly I ordered my hunny BBQ for dinner on 6/17/22. Instead ordering through a takeout carrier I placed the order directly through their website. What a headache that was. I put my address in and the website omitted the apt number for some odd reason. I called the restaurant three times to confirm they got the right addy. On the third try an employee finally picked up to tell me that this happens all the time and if I could call back because they're extremely busy right. Mind you my food took over an hour to be delivered. We ordered a pound of Burnt Ends, 10 Piece BBQ Wings, Brisket Empanadas, a pint of Mac & Queso, a pint of Brussel Sprouts, Cornbread and Ranch Dressing. The burnt ends were tangy. The wings were horrible. Mac and cheese had no taste and the Brussels were bland. I was not thrilled with the serving size of them items we received. Keep in mind M.Q.B is expensive! A pound shouldn't look like pint of Chinese food takeout. The wings were so small I didn't understand how 10 pieces equaled $14.95. They were so small that they were easily devoured in under 5 mins. I specifically asked for pickled cucumbers and red onions. Neither were included with our meal. The shop takes over the old Banter spot but feels a little smaller as a row of seating seems to have been removed. Food: OK (3 of 5). Dishes we had included: - Two Meats Platter ($14.95 base), with Brisket (an additional $3.50) and Spare Ribs (an additional $2.00). The brisket was dry and surprisingly flavorless, aside from a dash of salt thrown on at the order station. The ribs had better flavor, but were dry and could have benefited from some sauce. Overall, we've had better elsewhere. - CinnaBun Bread Pudding: $4.95. Decent, like eating a compacted pancake drenched in syrup. While I'm happy to see Mighty Quinn's in Queens, I hope they improve on the food before they expand elsewhere. Additionally, the customer queueing areas could use more space and better definition -- it would have been be nice to know where the line started and its direction, instead of needing to analyze the scene. read more

Great addtion to the area. Local bbq to fulfill your bbq needs. The layout is a bit cramped and does not flow smoothly as you order in the back and then pay in the front as line designators will help. The service was good and the bbq was outstanding. Highlights are the brisket, the pulled pork, and the wonderful sides. Vinegar cole slaw, mac and cheese, sweet potato, and the corn fritters are my go to. They have a great bar as well fully stocked.
