Whenever I come to Brookfield place I always pass by the place and end up choosing other spots. Now it was time to finally go for it!! Food: The fries are very soft with good texture and salty enough to enjoy them. It was kind of a good change from regular crispy fries. I ordered the spicy chicken burger, and honestly it was kind of dry as I was expecting the chicken to be spicy seasoned rather than having a side of spicy sauce. (Check service). Service: I was the only one there when I ordered and waited around 10 minutes at least before getting my order. Also I would rather have one box instead of 2, its kind of waste honestly. As mentioned above about my order, I found that the chicken was not spicy and only a spicy sauce is what comes with. Here is the thing Im expecting at least the buns will have a spread of the sauce. I've ordered from Mighty Quinn's many times and always had a good experience until today. I ordered the half chicken and only one out of four pieces was actually edible. The rest were severely undercooked, with visible blood and raw texture throughout. When I brought it to the staff's attention, they brushed it off, claiming it was "smoked" and supposed to be pink. I clarified this was clearly blood, not just pink meat, and the response I got was smirks and a half-hearted offer to replace it. I declined because at that point, I didn't trust the food's safety. I came here the evening before Thanksgiving and this was one of the few places that was open. Being that it is located in a food court, there is a ton of seating available. I was disappointed that their fountain drink machine was not working. So, I had to get a bottled drink. The staff was not too friendly. They did their job, nothing more, nothing less. I got some burnt ends and ribs with a side of french fries, macaroni, and corn bread. And no, it was not all for me. I shared with my littles. And it did not take long to prepare my meal, with the exception of the fries which were made fresh. The other food is served like cafeteria style. Most of the food was ready in less than 5 minutes. Now it is not a real big serving but, did the job and hit the spot. The meats were decent. It had good texture and lots of flavor. I really liked the burnt ends a lot. The cornbread and fries were pretty good too, but it is hard to mess up fries (even though it has been done). I was fortunate enough to get a both that overlooked the water which made my meal extra special. I liked my meal. I was a pleasant surprise, especially for being a food court eatery. I've been ordering their rice bowl with the noteworthy pulled pork ($15.45 before tax), and it's a painless way to try a couple of different things (meat and two sides with BBQ sauce). If you don't prefer pork, you can go with brisket or burnt ends which are $1 more. The employees weigh the pork so you don't have to fret about varying portion sizes. The Brussels sprouts are described online as containing cilantro but either they went light on it the time I chose them or they just don't incorporate much. I also approve of the mac & cheese (extremely cheesy and stiff), sweet potatoes (those candied pecans give it a little something special), and beans (prepared with burnt ends and bacon), though the beans might be the weakest of the four. The line can move at snail speeds during peak times, and they always seem to be out of something, usually a side. Broccoli is never available when I go. Maybe I'll luck out next visit. I got the two meat platter with brisket and pulled pork. Both were juicy and not dry at all, with a good balance of lean and fat, though it does lean slightly on the fatty side. There is a surcharge for brisket. I was not able to finish my whole order since it was a bit too much food and next time I would just get the brisket. The meats comes with free small sides in tiny condiment containers (e.g. pickles, slaw, etc.) so don't expect " normal sized" sides. I wish the sides were slightly bigger but not a dealbreaker. They also have actual sides like mac and cheese that you can order. I also got an iced tea but note this is actually a southern style sweet tea not your usual lipton tea, so it is definitely sweeter than I prefer. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the food and I would come back again. These days, I usually get a rice bowl which comes with a bunch of sides, and meat if you choose to add it, but the chicken sandwiches (any of them) are also good, and the BBQ meat platters (usually get the pulled pork and/or the brisket) are excellent. My favorite sides are the mac and cheese, brussels sprouts, and burnt end baked beans, and I like that the pickled cucumbers and onions aren't extra. If you're looking for fries, the dirty fries topped with burnt ends are always a good idea. Staff is usually friendly here and accommodating of food allergies (no issues with changing gloves and stuff like that). I also really appreciate that the website is very clear about which items to avoid for each food allergy, which makes ordering really easy. When it got to my turn, I decided to go for a jasmine rice bowl with brisket because it came with 2 sides! I really wanted a heavy meal and I guess this was the most filling dish of all. I saw the bowl and it was kind of flat and smallish. I wish it was a bit bigger but the bowl will still do to fulfill my hunger. I got the Mac n cheese and baked beans. The baked beans were sweet and smoky, which were very addicting. I loved the Mac n cheese! They weren't that cheesy and salty with so much sodium as you can find in other places. There is a buttery taste to the Mac n cheese. All things aside, the brisket is hands down the best part of the bowl! Very tender, juicy, and savoring in my mouth. I have taken bites from my friends' bowls, until alas, I decided to have my own for lunch one day. The process is similar to typical fast food bowl chains, with you choosing your sides and protein. I got the Rice Bowl ($12.95) with Brisket (extra $3.50) and my choice of sides of Brussel Sprouts and Mac n Cheese. The Jasmine Rice did a great job balancing out all the strong flavors of my bowl. The Mac n Cheese was better than my previous mac experience, with heavy cheese and a thick goopy consistency. I normally don't like Brussel Sprouts but these here were well flavored to make me think I could eat these daily. I was a little surprised by the brisket portion, as I got a couple chonky pieces. Even though they were thick, they teared ridiculously easily. These were the softest most delicate briskets I have ever had! BBQ sauce was provided on the side, but the salt sprinkles on top were enough for me to fully savor the beef taste. The meal was pricey for what it was, but it was delicious. We get up to order and the lady shouts that there is; No bread for sandwiches No rice No potato salad Then she wants to know what we want after we had to scrap our original sandwich order so I got a pulled pork sandwich (without bread) as a combo with fries and a drink.
