She kept asking me what I want but she's not making my order yet so I had to keep repeating my ingredients when she's ready to make my order. In the end I asked for a particular sauce but it's running out so there was only maybe half a squirt. She didn't bother getting a refill or ask me if I want another sauce and in the mean time the next staff already grabbed my bowl. The fish seems ok and other ingredients seems fresh. But they had no idea what negitoro is. The spicy negitoro they offer is just spicy tuna. It's not minced tuna with chopped green onions. I've passed this location several times during lunch hour and never stopped it until today. The service was great. It was very quick and very responsive and was able to answer all my questions. The menu was up on the wall and easy to read, which is great for people that without perfect visual acuity. I requested that they give me slightly more salmon because their spoonful is at most a half sphere of 4 inches in diameter. The spoon you will get when you are getting ice cream. I was refused and the employee even showed me a small spoonful of salmon and say "this is one extra protein". Finally got to try crack rice with a MealPal and I was pretty excited. I'd seen the food go viral online and unfortunately, I did not enjoy it is much as I'd hoped. My first complaint comes with the presentation/cleanliness. I found a piece of black, plastic piping in my gari :( The dark sauce cups were also crusted over and hard to open because of that. The food itself was alright. The spicy salmon was tasty and personally, I don't think I'm a fan of the crispy rice because from the look of it, I'm expecting hash browns and I felt disappointed when I bit in and it was rice (that's a personal problem of course). All in all, I wasn't too pleased with my experience. Again, I personally wasn't fond of the food itself, but you might be! This is place is sooooo good I've been several times and it's open late compared to other places downtown (until 10pm). I want to mention Lorenzo: he was amazing! There was a huge storm and I had not eaten in about 30 hours and it was the only thing open. I arrived at 9:57pm and the food was being put away. But he was kind enough to make me a super bowl with everything I wanted and he did it with a smile in his face! Thank you Lorenzo!!! You made my night. The cauliflower rice is always tasty, the teriyaki salmon is delicious, and all the toppings are omg just so good! I would suggest they offer some line or lemon wedges for the fish. The Financial District has a lack of lunch options especially on the weekend. I'm glad to have found this place. The poké here is decent with lots of protein options (there are unique cooked options such as teriyaki salmon). The food was good but kani salad counts as a protein.
