I've eaten so many burritos from this place, I swear my blood type is beans! Corona natives and visitors alike can attest for how delicious Miguel's Jrs bean burrito are. Those silky beans and gooey cheese, in the soft floury tortilla with the signature red or green hot sauce makes this a staple in my house. I grew up on the bean, rice, and cheese burritos (BRC) and I will continue to frequent my home town favorite. Not only are the burritos Delicious, but you won't find another taco like Miguel's tacos. They taste like they came straight from abuelas kitchen. Garbage burritos, tamales, churros, horchata, you craving it. Miguel's has it. And boy is is good! It's no wonder that this family was able to market such a great business. Place is good but one draw back I'm sure they can figure out hopefully in the near future. Is the quantity of how much food they put in the burrito. They are small as hell. For 8-9 bucks I feel I can get a more portion size burrito else where. But the quality of the food was good so it's not a complete waste but I was shocked to see how small the burritos are. I have to say the shredded chicken and beef were the best drive-thru meats I've had since In-N-Out. The burrito was moist on the inside which I always look for and - but the guacamole and crema was slightly too much. I was searching Yelp and found this place with a good review and decided to try it out. I ordered a burrito, and added sour cream(because it belongs on everything). The tortilla, was paper thin, overly flour-y and dry. It fell apart and started oozing contents after bite one. The contents of the burrito, were incredibly sub par. Idk how you can mess up a rice and bean burrito with egg, bacon, and added sour cream but they did. Flavorless is the word of the day. Also, had to ask for sour cream after I started into my burrito, since they had forgotten it. I appreciated the looks like, "are you sure there's none in there", yes I'm sure. And finally, what should be the best part of the burrito, the bacon, reminded me of the paper thin, fatty, floppy type you would get from McDonald's. In conclusion, lack in flavor, quality, and attention to detail. Ps-the salsa bar is unremarkable as well. Pretty much either red or green tinted water you can put on your burrito. I was kidnapped. Brought here under protest. Right after having finished a review panning most of the food at their other Miguel's Jr. location, just blocks away from this one, here I was.... eating one of their burritos. The shredded beef is the only meat I enjoy from here. I have learned that each time I have given them that "second chance" by trying something different, they disappoint. So why are they so popular? Why are there lines at the drive thru? Probably because people can get borderline tolerable Mexican food, fast, and without stepping outside their car. There are very few Mexican joints in town that offer a drive thru (I can count 3, including Taco Bell and Del Taco, if you dare to call that Mexican) and (grin and bear it) this is better than them. I am not saying Miguels is bad, just gringo bland. So I am disappointed to see people writing that this is the "best burrito" in Corona. It's not. Keep looking. I've been coming to this original location since I was a wee little lady. Growing up in Corona I must tell you that this is a huge staple to the community. This location has been here since 1975 and still going strong. The people who work here have been employed since I can remember. I've even seen the owner himself at this very location. What I'm trying to convey is that this place has soul, flavor, and great customer service. You can't go wrong with a bean, rice, and cheese burrito for about $2.75. My mom loved her meal so much, she asked if we could go there again the next day. Her Chile Relleno, hot stuffed pepper with cheese, served with pinto beans and spanish rice was up to her standards. Plus, the service was a quick as any fast food place, but this service takes the cake. And when my mom wanted tortillas, she did not expect one large tortilla. She opened it up like it table napkin to lay on her lap. And, I know why the Famous Garbage Burrito is famous. It is good for anyone who just doesn't know what to order but is suffering from hunger and the garbage burrito will not let you forget its existence. Maybe there was someone new on the grill, or who knows, but whoever made them didn't let the water drain from the chicken before they plopped a big spoonful of more water than chicken into the taco shells. It was like soup... like trying to eat chicken-water tacos... all the water just KILLED the flavor and the taco shells were soggy and fell apart. I went through the drive Thur which was fast and quick. I was disappointed when I discovered that my order was wrong. I walked in and explained what happen to the cashier.
