The past 6 months we've been consistently going to the Miguel's on Hamner and the service just gets worse and worse. Honestly, it almost seems like a joke how rude the drive through guys are; and Everytime they say "it's all in the bag", you can rest assured something is missing or it's the wrong item... It used to be something we looked forward to, but now might as well eat somewhere else without the abuse. My go to menu item at Miguel's Jr is always the taquitos. Crispy and covered in just the right amount of guacamole. I tried a new taquito restaurant down the street and not only was it more expensive but the taquitos were soggy in the middle and didn't come with guacamole! Is this what a plate of Nachos suppose to look look like? when I got home to feed my family , we opened the bags to my surprise and the nachos looks like a 5 year old prepared it. The presentation was atrociously nauseating to the eyes. Because we were so hungry and too tired to take it back, we tried to Doctor it up with sour cream salsa onion and cilantro to make it taste batter than it looks. There was not enough meat nor beans and salsa on the nachos and too much chips which over powered the nacho presentation. There's no way I can justify these meals to give you a better rating. The meal were horrible and nasty we could eat it all. We all woke up Sunday morning nauseated upsetting stomachache which lead to a lot of bathroom activity. Wow! Way overpriced for what you get. Their bean, rice and cheese burritos have gone up to almost $4.00 bucks!! Really?? For a burrito with no meat in it?? Not sure how they can justify this as beans, rice and tortillas are some of the least expensive ingredients known to man. Quite a few years back I boycotted this place because when I went in there and ordered their tacos, I took a bite and there was no meat in the first bite!! When I complained to the manager, she encouraged me to reach out to corporate as there were so many complaints. She informed me that the allotted amount of meat at the time was 1 oz. Back in the day, at the 6th street site, they used to pack a lot of meat in those tacos, my sister and I used to go there all the time. So I stopped going there for several years until my sister told me they had increased the amount of meat in their tacos (along with their prices) but not even close to what they used to do when they first opened. Sad to say that although Miguels and I go way back to the 80s when they offered good food at reasonable prices, I have decided that the food is just not worth the price, and I am back to boycotting. They might do well to remember that if they offer good food at a fair price, they will continue to have repeat business as well as recommendations for new customers to come. Growing up in Corona and going to church with Miguel Sr. makes me completely bias to the Miguel's Jr. chain. But their Garbage Burrito served "wet" alone is all the proof and justification I need to give it the 4 stars. They decided to bring their establishment to another level by introducing the breakfast burrito. I tried their house favorite Chili Verde & the Sunrise (basic bacon) this morning. Sunrise by far outshines the Chili Verde. Just the simple texture contrast of the bacon really brings it all together. They only sell breakfast until 10am on weekdays, and 1pm on weekends. Make sure to ask for extra salsa, they usually will go over their 2 max policy if you ask nicely. read more

For my family, no trip to visit the family in SoCal is complete without a stop at Miguel's Jr. There is something I can't quite pinpoint about why we keep coming back. I'm sure it has something to do with the amazing shredded beef they use in their tacos and burritos, an a bit to do with their amazing salsa. Yes, there is a ton of cheese and shredded lettuce on the tacos these days, but just ask them to take it easy and then it is fantastic. My daughter loves the horchata water, so give that a try when you stop in. For those of us that do not live anywhere near a Miguel's... order extra burritos (i get the shredded beef, with only meat), and freeze them for later. Be sure to ask for at 2 salsa per item, it is some very tasty stuff that you can use on other foods if you don't use it all on their food. :) read more

I love the bean cheese and rice burrito so I buy it in bulk and then put in freezer or fridge. This time, the foil wrap kept the moisture in and the burrito became super soggy and came apart. Got a call from the corporate office asking if I ever heard back from anyone. I told them no and they verified my email and phone number. They told me someone was supposed to have already reached out to me and they were shocked that it wasn't handled. So I waited, thinking someone was going to call and try to fix what happened. Now that their several locations that make their food at one location and have warmers! They suck!!! This use to be our family's favorite. They no longer care about taste or quality. We have had a bad experience the last 3 times we have ordered. Enchiladas thrown together without any sauce at all. Mushy tacos when asked for crispy. Sloppy combination plates and absolutely no flavor. Taco meat tastes like they rinse all the flavor out before they fill the tacos. Beans are hard and dry and they barely give any cheese. They rarely give hot sauce even when it is specifically requested. We started with the original Miguel's on 6th street over 40 years ago and were very excited to get a Jr in Norco. In the beginning they were pretty good not as good as the restaurant of course but pretty good for fast food. But now they are terrible. We will miss them. read more

Soooo I was at my sisters in Corona and my friend that lives in corona has been raving about this place! I'm always craving a mean burrito so I decided to finally try it. Based on my review, I did not enjoy it. I got the garbage burrito with carne asada and my sister go the wet garbage burrito with chicken. We also got nachos with shredded beef. All the meat was sooo chewy and rubbery. It was not enjoyable. My sister also said the wet version of the garbage burrito was not good because it didn't have lettuce and guacamole and the good stuff. But to be honest, even without it being wet, mine wasn't good either. The carne asada was extremely chewy. The nachos were also pretty soggy and the beef smelled and was just gross! My fried also their red sauce was to die for, I didn't find anything too special about it though. It wasn't even super spicy! I went through the drive thru and the service was very fast! I got done ordering and getting my order within minutes. The employee was nice too and answered all my newbie questions. Since then, the kids have grown, Miguel's is now a chain, and Corona has grown so much it has much more than hamburgers, tacos and bars. See? Life changes if you have the patience to wait. But I always come back to Miguel's. My personal favorite, the shredded beef with beans and cheese burrito. Lots of moist savory meat. You can slop as many condiments and tons of their hot sauce as you like, when you eat inside. You can also go through drive through, but they are a bit more conservative about how much hot sauce you can have. I don't know why, but the humble food from Miguel's Jr seems to taste much better than their sit down restaurant, Miguel's, on the West side of town. Go figure. read more

Nothing better than eating a hot chili Verde & potato and cheese burrito, on a cold rainy day. My hubby of almost 30yrs is mexican, so believe me when i say that i know a great burrito. I've been ordering this since my adult kids were in elementary school around the corner. They would make a special request for me to drop it off for them for lunch. Of course I would have to because that's what us mom's do :) Not exactly sure how great the chili verde be as a entree because i know I've had better at other restaurants, but as a burrito, and combined with the large chunks of perfectly cooked potatoes and cheese, it's delicious! Growing up in the Corona area this tiny little drive thru called Miguel's Jr was a favorite of family and friends. I never really 'Loved' it but I've been many times to help satisfy others cravings at the time. My least favorite is the refried beans, they're just too creamy for me. Although the flavor is good, I like a lot more almost whole beans in my refried beans. Still today I don't order anything with beans here. Recently, since they are in OC now and I'm still frequently with someone that loves Miguel's, I have discovered a couple things I do love here. #1 the California Chile Burrito, basically a chile relleno burrito. #2 the chile verde marinated potatoes. You can get those in tacos, burritos and now even breakfast burritos. They are very different, soft, almost like they've been prepared to be mashed. They have a mild flavor that I've come to enjoy. Miguel's flavors are different I would say. Not bad, different. It seems to evoke a love or hate emotion. Their hot sauce is good but probably not what you are thinking it should be if you've never been here? Give Miguel's a try with no expectations and see what you think. read more

We live in Corona, and usually go to the Miguels Jr near our house. But, we were on our way out of town and had to stop in Norco so we visited this location. This location pretty much sucks. We were the first customers of the day (order #1 on our ticket). Nothing tricky a chorizo burrito, taquitos and a chicken taco. 25 minutes until we got our food. In that time, one other walk in customer came in and ordered, got his food and left. Three cars came to the drive thru, got their food, and drove off. Worst part was, calling it a chorizo burrito is criminal. It was a potato and egg burrito that had a smudge of chorizo in it and it was the worst chorizo burrito I have ever had. If you aren't in a hurry, just go down the freeway five minutes to the Corona location on Compton. Much better. read more

Regarding Miguel's on Hamner Ave I believe this is the worse Miguel's. I end up going there for convenience. I've been to one in Eastvale, Moreno Valley and corona all of these know how to make original taco salad with chips in salad. If chips not in salad the salad is all watery and soggy. The Norco one when you ask to put chips in they say they can't but all others do. Last two times I have been there you get home to soggy salad with no chips even included. You have so many locations why is it Norco is only one that can't do original salad the right way read more

This place will continue to get low reviews because the food we all used to love is now low quality. I ordered a carne plate and got half cooked rice and Burned steak, then they replaced my order and forgot my drink. I hate spending my money here now, corporate needs to either get this place up to par or close it and let their customers find a new place that respects their money and provides something of value. The quality is poor and the customer service is worst. They've lost a customer of over 15 years and there is nothing they can do to fix it. My family and I are finally clear that this is the end of an era. Before my kids I literally ate at Miguel's Jr on a daily basis. For 15+ years I was always satisfied. It didn't matter which location. Tyler Mall was where I used to eat daily as I worked across the street. Later it was Norco, multiple ones in Corona and even one in Murrieta and I believe Fontana. I loved the food of course but I also loved that they were always very clean (including bathrooms) and the employees were sharp, courteous and professional. It was across the board at every location. I came to the conclusion that the family who started Miguel's must've trained them all. Unfortunately I noticed a total change before covid starting with the Tyler location. The salsa bar was dirty and the bathroom was unkempt. It was very noticeable because I hadn't seen that in any of the locations ever. There was always someone tidying up. Next came the unprofessional employees and finally the bean and cheese burrito not tasting the same as it had for the over 20 years that I've been going. That I noticed since covid. Its hit and miss now. Unfortunatelt what has remained consistent for a year now is the poor customer service and the lack of cleanliness. It's so disgusting to use a restaurant bathroom that's not clean. I stop going. So I stopped going in to at least try to avoid that now very real possibility. Anyway it's the end of an era for my Corona family. Primarily due to the new rude, unprofessional employees. Especially in Norco but it's happened at Tyler as well as the older one onn6th street.
