I then had to wait 10-15 minutes for it even though there were only two cars in front of me. Then when I finally got my food, it wasn't even a relleno burrito, it was just a normal burrito. I was craving a taco dorado/hard shell taco and some taquitos and didn't want to pay or spend an hour for a full service meal. After about a month in business, I figured I would give them a try. The food was good... My shredded beef taco and taquitos were delicious Their salsa and guac are good too. I am soooo happy this opened down the street from us. Its the perfect place for a crunchy taco. a good burrito or bowl. The customer service is always spot on, I love that it's drive thru and that they are generous with the salsa. One time I ordered nacho to go and they literally individually packaged all the topping s so the nachos didn't get soggy. Their horchata coffee is next on my list to try. read more

I think this is the second review I've ever written. I use yelp to look for good restaurants/fast food in the area but never to write a review simply because I'm just to busy in life. but today I felt compelled to take some time from my busy schedule to write review. It ain't a good one either. I've been to Miguel's jr a few times because it's local, fast, and the food is decent. I remember thinking that the drive through customer service has always kinda sucked. Homeboy has an attitude with zero personality. I never really cared because I'm here for the food not his personality. Today I got the same attitude at the drive through which again I look past but when I was driving up to the window I realized that I forgot my wallet at home. I quickly called my wife before I even got to the window to tell her to send me money on Apple Pay to my phone. She's always quick and does so within about 30 seconds. When I pulled to window the dude told me the total and I replied "hey brotha can you give me a minute my wife is sending me money on my Apple Pay. Money should be ready in about 30 seconds" he looked at me and asked me to drive around the parking lot until the money is sent. WHAT!!!! MIND YOU there is no one else in the drive through behind me, it's just me!!! I told him again the money should be in my account in a few seconds but he still insisted that I drive a round until money was ready and gave me some shit excuse about a drive through time limit. I rolled my eyes and proceeded to pull forward about 5 feet and the notification came in that the money was sent to my Phone. I then reversed back to the window and told the guy "I told you it would be quick" no apology, no my bad from burly man he just stuck his tap square out of the window for me to pay. I looked at him and asked him to explain their stupid policy about time limit again. He just said well we just don't allow that and handed me my food. I told him it didn't make sense to me and that I've never heard of that in my life, and I've been to a thousand fast food spots. Im not sure if he was bullshitting me or that really is their stupid policy but either way being that I was the only person in drive through and I literally told him the money was being sent any second homeboy should be a little more considerate. Im totally KARENing this post but whatevs last time I go here and have a few peeps that love this place. All I got to do is tell them this story and yo that's a wrap don't go there. Done deal. Get some better customer service this spot will fail. You just lost several customers tonight because you want to act like a douche bag. Way better Mexican spots around this area with better service and kind manners. Your location sucks anyways. read more

Stopped by Miguel's Jr. located in Montclair off of central ave. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito which was delicious the beans were just like homemade! Perfect amount of cheese. I also ordered a small side of chips and guacamole! And to top off coffeechata. The coffee was delicious and it was a great size. I will be back to try their tamales and hard shell tacos!! Definitely recommend trying the location. The customer service was amazing!! For opening day they offered a card for a free burrito on my next visit!! Passed by earlier in the day and noticed the line of cars. I had to stop by and try it out. Wow! Great new find. Had the Carne Asada burrito and a shredded chicken tostada and tue mango lemonade. Absolutely fantastic!! Portions are generous and delivered fresh to your table. Ambiance is casual. Adriana took my order and made some great recommendations prompting me to order a shredded beed taco before I left. Wow this was a juicy and delicious taco. The corn tortilla was amazing and unlike anything I have ever had anywhere else. This being their opening day, they all worked extremely well together and handled the large influx of customers. Management was also attentive to the employees and made themselves accessible. Happy to have a new favorite spot to meet my Mexican food urges. read more

Today they were a little unorganized but that is to be expected so I'm not going to slam them too hard. The food that I had today is what I usually get when I eat at other Miguel Jr. locations. This Miguel's is my new favorite. The inside is open and clean. The music wasn't too loud. We had two garage burritos, og carne burrito, spicy chicken tamale and churro. It came out ~$40. Has just enough spice and all the flavor. Elevates every dish I've tried it on. I really like it on the taquitos. And the customization you're able to ask for with any dish is so cool. Add onions, cilantro, salsa. Side of lemons. I always order churros after my meal too- they're filled with hot caramel and go so well with the horchata. Helps get rid of the spice in the mouth from the Serrano salsa lol 10/10 recommend. I sit in often with my newborn- he likes the music- and I've noticed there's a lot of regulars and returning customers. The friendliness and familiarity with staff members is so refreshing you really do feel at home here. It's always a pleasant experience. If you have not tried Miguel Jrs you should. Their carne asada street tacos are delicious. The meat is tender and flavorful, their green salsa adds extra flavor. I also tried chicken taquitos. Hi my name is Kathy I have been going to miguels forever and I am thrilled to have one now in upland and we've been there at least every two weeks if not more Unfortunately my husband went in for takeout and ordered two garbage burritos one with Chile Verde and one carne asada. First of all there was maybe one or two chunks of chili Verde so he was disappointed. The carne asada was not carne asada it shredded Meat I'm not sure what it was. It kind of freaked me out because I had no idea what I was eating but I knew it wasn't carne asada. So it cost us $25 for two burritos that were not right. I paid $12.98 for carne asada. $25 for dinner was like we were just throwing the money away. I'm sorry for the complaint. But when we spend $25 it's a treat for us with our income. The burrito had what looked like a bit of shredded meat. It definitely was not carne asada. I was truly afraid to eat it because I had no idea what I was eating. But it was not carne asada. Plus it had that barbacoa taste which I don't like. The burrito ended up in the trash where it belonged. I just threw money away read more

I was so excited to find out a Miguel Jr's was moving into my neighborhood, I've heard so much about them but never tried it. The first visit we ordered food online for pickup, but the food was not ready at the designated time. I waited patiently for my food, which sat on the back counter for several minutes before they set it in the pick up area. While I waited I did take note of the simple but clean and comfortable dining area. When I got home with the food, I was missing a taco and chips, but what we did receive (chili relleno, rice and beans, taquitos, and original burrito with chicken) was very tasty. I know they had some wrinkles to straighten out as they had just opened a couple weeks before so I'll give them another chance soon. read more

Great experience and customer service! Came here for the first time for a seed oil free drive-thru place since I had my toddler in the car. I just so happened to pull in during breakfast, which is served until 11am at this location. I ordered 2 BRC burritos for my little guy to try, the sunrise burrito for my husband, and the beef machaca breakfast burrito for myself (no cheese) - came out to $27. I found out later that I received $2 off each BRC burrito for a Valentine's day promo?? Cool lol. I also added a caramel filled churro after the gentleman taking my order informed me that their churros are also fried in lard! Amazing! Anyway, I ate the entire machaca in the parking lot & have no regrets. The meat was nice and tender, well-seasoned, and went well with both the red and green salsas. The churro was also nice. Sunday 1/12/25 about 12pm. We had been here once before a few weeks ago and enjoyed our meal so we decided to try this new Miguel's location again. First of all, this place is very clean and inviting. It wasn't super busy so we pretty much had our choice is seats. Second, the service is awesome. Everyone seems to care that you have a good experience. They actually got my burrito order wrong and upon me mentioning it, they corrected it quickly and with an attentiveness you don't see anymore in inexpensive sit down/carry out restaurants. Again we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and left satisfied and happy. We will definitely be coming back soon. read more

First time eating here, we ordered the CARNE ASADA BURRITO, and a chicken tamel. The tamel was ok, no complaints. But as far as the burrito goes...it was anything but carne asada. The meat looked and tasted like shredded beef it didn't resemble anything like carne asada. The manager claimed it was ranchero. He was either lying or they just don't know how to cook asada.
