Haven't been to Miguel's in over 20 years and overwhelmingly was not disappointed upon our return. Stepping in the restaurant you get transported to a European restaurant. Beautiful stained glass windows in the back of the dining room. We had the best French onion soup we have ever had. Entrees were the special Grilled Red Beans Grouper and the steak fritte. French fries are fried in duck fat. Wow. Sean our server was super attentive and great suggestions We did not have room for their famous bananas foster table side. Next time !!

Great if you are looking for a long assssss dinner. I think that's what my dinner group was looking for so that part is ok. It was the 4 course early bird special. All smaller portions of each course. About 50 min between each portion. And each dish was good, but pretty basic af for the todo of it all. I would not recommend to anyone I know or like. But I'm sure there are people looking for this exact thing. Service was good from Shawn. Bus boy was something special. They only have ice cream for dessert.

Another next level dinner at Miguel's. A starter plate of appetizers and fresh hot bread served on arrival. Started with piping hot french onion soup and side salad with vinaigrette dressing. The roast duck with l'orange sauce was so tender and delicious. Julienned carrots with red cabbage adorned the plate, as well as a seasoned rice. This hidden gem is nestled in the corner of a strip mall on Siesta Key. Upscale dining with excellent wait staff and expert chefs.

One of our favs , go to , never disappoint 's. Staff is exceptionally knowledgeable. They work hard to be their best. Wonderful extensive choices to pick from and very reasonable prices. We are here this evening for early bird menu 4-6 pm . Includes appetizer, salad, entree, veg, potato AND SCRUMPTIOUS DESSERT. Average price $24.00.. win win situation. Tonight's choices, filet mignonette & lamb

This was one of the best meals I have had in a while. If you can go to the early bird dinner. You will need reservations. As for service it was spot on. Our waiter helped me with a suggestion between the two dishes I wanted, I personally had the escargot and the veal piccata and they were both excellent.

My husband and I recently made a trip to Sarasota Florida in search of a French restaurant. This restaurant came highly recommended by reviews that I found on Yelp. Upon our arrival we were cheerfully greeted and sat at our table. The atmosphere of the restaurant was more like an old fashioned, Continental Cuisine Restaurant than a French restaurant.  The one chandelier had half the lights missing. I will say that the service was pretty much spot on. The waiter was wonderful, friendly and took very good care of us. There was a complementary starter of fresh vegetables and pate. The pate was so delicious that we ordered some additional pate. We then had the garlic soup which was different, but delicious. We ordered the Caesar salad, that prepared table side. I felt that there too much lettuce there for the salad. The dressing made by was fairly good but not as good as I was used too. One entree was the Fruits De Mer, a seafood dish.  It had shrimp ,scallops and fish . It was very tasty well prepared. I had the hanger steak that was medium rare with a side of duck fat fries For dessert we had bananas foster prepared table side. The menu was more Continental cuisine as opposed to a true French menu. The restaurant was very busy and appeared to have many regulars. Overall not a bad experience but it wasn't quite were looking for , as far as a true French restaurant. We left happy . I recommend the restaurant if your in Sarasota.

Went here for Valentines Day & the food was good, but nothing super memorable. Restaurant had a good vibe, but the service probably wasn't as good as it would've been on a normal night bc they were busy. I would give this place slightly more than 3 stars (3.6) if it gave me the option.

We have visited Miguel's multiple times over the years visiting Siesta Key & have always enjoyed our experience. They have great parking and we can usually get a reservation last minute the day of. Cocktails are always good. We love the table-side Caesar salad service as well. The dressing is made in front of you from scratch & is delicious. If salad isn't for you, you have to get the French onion soup. It is absolutely amazing. From there my favorite entree is Le Boeuf Diane. Beef & puff pastry = a beautiful masterpiece! The prices are great for the flavor packed entrees. Our favorite dessert option is the dessert sampler where you can pick 3 desserts to try. They also have amazing table-side flambé dessert options.

This is a beautiful French restaurant, near crescent Beach in Sarasota Florida. I highly recommend the four course meal starting at 4:00 p.m. going to 6:00 p.m. 7 days a week. I do suggest calling 941-349-4024 to schedule a reservation through the hostess.

Grace, our server, was fantastic. We had the steak tartare, the escargot, the forestiere, the ceasar salad, the french onion soup, and the corvina, the special of the day. finished the night with the banana foster. the ambiance would not feel like im in a beach town feels like a small european town! I would recommend this place sooooo much! it was delicious. i'll definitely be back!

Steak bites, the meat is so tender and delicious!

Actually, just get there early anyway because the pastry items are fresher/better. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The service is more attentive than a typical French cafe overseas but not as on top of you as a typical place in the US. You can definitely order at the counter in French if you want to and I've had a waiter there flip between English, French, Spanish, and another language (maybe Romanian?) in one order. The sandwiches I've had were all lovely, and had a little side salad that could benefit from a better dressing (they serve an okay vinaigrette though). I've yet to encounter a single bad pastry - the elcairs, mousse cakes, and flaky pastries like chausson pommes are on par with the typical boulangerie/pattisserie in France and don't make me think US adaptation at all. Prices are reasonable.

I also got a palmier pastry and I should have gotten a croissant, the palmier tasted a little stale. The locale was adorable, with beautifully tiles tables really setting the scene. Overall, not terrible! Worthwhile if you're really feeling French.

We were guests in what our hosts described as "their favorite restaurant" and Yelp awards a 4-stars review...my conclusion was: either the restaurant was having a really bad night or reviewers have lost their understanding of what a 4-stars restaurant should be like. Our hosts ordered a bottle of white Bordeaux which the owner poured in our glasses as if she was pouring the lowly Sarasota water, filled our glasses almost to the top practically emptying the bottle. Then it was time to order, the lady host asked for the foie gras appetizer which she had absolutely recommended...Sorry, we are out! Appetizers: we ordered 2 Escargots, and the Homemade Country Pâté. The Escargots in herb butter were tasteless (I had to add some salt) and one of the snails was full of stones and grit. Main course: I asked for the Homemade Country Pâté which was portioned significantly less than what our host had gotten...was it to punish me for ordering 2 appetizers? My husband ordered the lamb chops...4 chops cooked to the point where they were tough, and a potato gratin reminiscent of a brick. Our hosts ordered the Pork Marco Polo and the Smoked Salmon Salad. I cannot comment on their entrees even though a comment was made that the pork was overcooked. The Salmon Salad did not look appetizing. But, the 'pièce de resistance' was when our host ordered Crêpe Suzette and was told that 'we are out of orange jam'...whaaat? You can find orange jam in any grocery store, you should never run out of orange jam. We have dined in many restaurant that we felt were subpar, this one won first price. Needless to say, will never go back.
