Stopped by here since the kids wanted donuts and to our surprise the donuts were really delicious. Now i know why this place was really busy when we stopped in but the line moved fairly quickly. I give 5 star for service. I ordered pastrami sandwich and it was decent. Just they could put more meat considering I did not get any lettuce or other stuff as I like mines just meat and bun. Mikel's Donuts & Subs is the ideal place to have lunch with friends or by yourself, it's a nice little clean hole in the wall that can easily be missed with good customer service. I honestly would not have even stopped here to buy something to drink let alone a sub, or donuts, but since my nephew swears by the devilish donuts & the scrumptious subs I had to & I'm extremely fortunate that I did. I ordered the ham sub with everything, what? So I was hungry I can work it off I need to taste the total sub in order to give a proper review, right? Lol! Back to the sub, it was on a foot long sub roll, with a mayo seasoned spread, lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, NO ONIONS, peppers, & ham, a bag of chips I did not touch, & a large coke, NOT DIET I AM ALLERGIC TO DIET PRODUCTS, & WOW what else can I say! It was sooooo SINFULLY SCRUMPTIOUS that I could taste every single calorie and I did not care one bit! Unfortunately I was toooo stuff half way Thur the sub that I wasn't able to talk let alone think of having a donut, but I had one the next time. About a week later I stopped by just to try a donut I ordered a custard filled chocolate donut & it was absolutely divine! It was fresh perfectly iced chocolate with custard oozing out, YUMMY! Therefore, if you are craving a proficiently profiled sub or donut Mikel's is the perfect prescription for you. Oh, I guess it doesn't look like much from the street and I would have never walked in here in a million years but the guys I work with rave about the sandwiches. You gotta try the Cappicola sandwich, It is similar to ham, with pickles and peppers and a few other delicious toppings. This is a solid place for a good sub. A footlong is about five or six bucks and it usually comes with a free donut, try the butter milk. read more

The employee Anahi was extremely nice! And we have the same name lol all of their employees are very polite and helpful. Only negative I'd say is they seem to have no AC. A donut every now and then is good for the soul, so came here based on Yelp reviews, staff and service was a excellent. Ordered a glazed twist, ham and cheese jalapeño croissant, & coffee. Donut was nice a moist, tasted fresh unlike some places that have stale donuts. Croissants was good, wasn't very impressed with the insides thought. Not sure what kind of cheese they use but I got a very distinct mayonnaise taste. I'm not against mayo but not that early in the morning also a turn off if I'm not expecting it. Do you know the smell of a wet dish rag that's been sitting on the counter too long? Well that's what my coffee tasted like. Not sure if it was the creamer or the lid to the cup, or even the coffee itself but not appealing. Also came to witness first hand the bacon & glazed donuts plus the hot cheetos donuts, none on display another disappointment. I'll come back to try the sandwiches and update my review. I would have given them 5 stars because their sandwiches are super yummy, but they have a crappy policy going on. Today I thought I'd try a snow cone and ordered the mango chimoy. It was absolutely disgusting so I asked an employee if I could trade it out for something else (I literally had one sip). She was very nice, but said she's not allowed to do that. WTH!? I told her to keep it as it was that gross. I'm not saying I won't go back here again, but they will definitely lose some of my business for such a crummy policy. Not every Hispanic likes chilis on their sub. I ordered my cheesesteak just meat an extra cheese and when I got home I opened it up and there were 4 whole chilis on my sub. I still ate the sub and would order again but I didn't enjoy a spicy cheesesteak. My wife ordered the fried zucchinis and she fell in love! You can't beat a 12' cheesesteak for $4.99!! read more

This is a little hole-in-the-wall doughnut shop; however, the food is very good. I would highly recommend stopping here for the breakfast sandwiches or an Italian sub. They add a good amount of meat, toppings and/or dressing. Way better than any $5 footlong from subway. read more

Moved to the area recently and was craving shaved ice. I remember seeing the sign on their windows so I decided to give them a try. When I walked in, the line was pretty long and noticed everybody was ordering sub sandwiches. I got my shaved ice and went home. It was so finely shaved and had the perfect amount of syrup. So I decided to go again the next day. And the next. And the next...well you get the picture. The sandwiches are to die for! I sound like a crazy woman, but everything is so damn good here. The donuts, the shaved ice, the sandwiches, the fried foods...I could go on. And on top of that, the entire staff is friendly and welcoming. I found this place on yelp and saw it had good reviews and it was close to me so I decided to give it a try. My husband ordered the 8 inch pepperoni and meatball sub, I ordered the chicken teriyaki melt and we shared an order of chilli cheese fries. The chicken melt came out first and after a while of waiting for the rest of the food that hadn't come out yet we just shared it because we were hungry. After about 5 minutes the meatball sandwich came out and after another 5 min the fries came out. I would have preferred for our food to come out all at once than in sections. The subs and fries were extremely hot that we had had to wait for them to cool down substantially. Overall I give the taste of the food 2 stars because there was not enough flavor and our fries were overwhelmed with cheese and pinto beans, no actual chili. I did like the price, we had 2 subs, chili fries and a drink for $13 which is good for the wallet and the place was very clean, however I don't think I will be back. read more

Only came here once..never again! The place needs better ventilation, sure they have dozens of cameras but can't afford to get the A/C to work?! Food was good I'll give it that, but awful service. The cashier that helped us got our order wrong (large cheesesteak combo and small cold cut combo) and we got a small cheesesteak and a large cold cut...and when we asked for chips she gave us the wrong ones even though we specifically pointed them out and called them by name brand. Anyways, when our order came out that's when we noticed the order was wrong and when we told the girl who brought it out to us, she had the nerve to say in a rude manner " well.. what do you want me to do about it?" Umm I don't know maybe sorry or a free something? Just the attitude of the employees killed this place for us. Why in the world have I just discovered this place?! I've been working in the area for about 14 years now and I just recently tried this place for the first time. Friendly people. Clean place. I got an avocado sandwich and it was delicious. Good bread. Fresh veggies. I love the fact that the avocado slices were not brown! I also ordered some fried zucchini which took some time but the lady who took my order was kind enough to give me the heads up about that when I ordered it.
