First off, I technically didn't have any work done. My vehicle was hit at my mechanics shop, while parked, and the individual who damaged my car said that his insurance company would cover it all!!! She eased my stressful day and couldn't have been more helpful. She had set everything up and had everything ready for me when I brought my car in. I had called back a few times within a an hour( thought I called a different Mikes Auto Body), she answers: yes Leon? I explained that maybe my info was sent to another Mike's Auto body, she said, they're all affiliated, so my info was in the computer anyways. Anyway, when my mechanic called me to pick up my car, the damage from being hit was fixed? Since he felt responsible partially, he had my auto body work taken care of from a reputable company next to his shop. So long story short, I didn't need to take it to Mike's for repairs. I took my vehicle in to this shop for repairs from Hurricane Michael. After patiently waiting 7mos for them to take my vehicle in, the nightmare started on May 15th 2019. The owner tried to return my vehicle 3 times only to inspect and find damage caused by this shop as well as hurricane damage not repaired as well as shoddy repairs. The 4th time the owner said it was ready was on July 8, 2020. I retrieved my vehicle. This process took 1yr and almost 2mos. Now I get to take my vehicle to a different body shop to complete hurricane damage repairs as well as the damage caused by this shop. My attorney advised me to get estimates so we can sue for damages. Everything this Owner says sounds great. His actions do NOT reflect what his actions and the final result will be. Hopefully you have a better experience if you utilize this business. I made several complaints with govt agencies. The owner lied to the agencies, my insurance co, as well as me. They actually had the audacity to tell the BBB that I was not their customer and my complaint was not valid. They also put out personal info on the BBB public website. This was all done in retaliation IMO. We are all dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Michael still. I never expected a business with such great reviews to treat us so terrible. I was not satisfied with the insured's claim estimate so turned it over to my insurance. I chose Mike's for the work required. From estimate to picking it up they exceeded my expectations. I was directed to Mike's through my insurance company Geico after a minor accident that caused more than minor damage. I can't begin to tell you how great the whole experience was. From the reception, the inspection by Sohail with Geico, the estimate from James with Mike's, to the rental from Enterprise with Cristina. The whole process was orchestrated so smoothly and professionally that I was quite surprised and totally impressed at what a pleasant experience it turned out to be. I dropped my car off on Monday morning. By Monday afternoon, I had an email with details about the car repair and the cost and an estimated time of completion. By Thursday (as estimated) I had my car back in perfect condition - they even washed it!!! And the process of returning the rental and getting my car was just as fast and efficient as dropping the car off. These guys are the greatest!!! And I highly recommend them. These guys were seriously great. I was beyond devastated when someone hit my parked brand new Lexus and decided not to leave me a note. I have Geico so I figured it would be fast and efficient to go through one of their recommended shops. I chose Mikes because of their reviews to be honest. I dropped it off on Friday morning, was in and out of there in 10 min. They had a friendly shuttle that dropped me off at Bart so I could go to work. Another OUTSTANDING service experience at Mike's Auto Body! I recently got gently rear-ended in a parking lot, and the other driver took full responsibility and wanted to handle it without notifying our insurance. I agreed because she was being so agreeable and it was truly barely a bump. In order to give the other driver an idea of the costs, I decided to get two estimates. The first one was from a competitor of Mike's, and the service guy looked bored, talked about how he was looking forward to retiring, and the place looks run down. He didn't bother to take any photos, especially after I told him this wouldn't involve insurance. Hmmmm. Then I went to Mike's, and the experience was AMAZING. The reception area is clean, the receptionist (sorry, can't remember her name) was friendly and efficient. She offered me coffee while I waited for just a few short minutes for a service guy. Jeff Reeder was thoughtful, personable and efficient. He listened to my story, took photos, and before I had even gotten in my car, I had an estimate in my inbox. He offered me the same low pricing that the insurance carrier would pay for their national work, and willingly participated in a three-way call with the other driver that I arranged on short notice to explain what was going to happen. He called the next day to let me know what he had found and when the car would be ready. Service is about meeting clients' needs, and an exceptional person or company does that AND goes beyond to exceed expectations. When I arrived to pick up my car, not only did the bumper look amazing, but they had cleaned up the other side of the bumper that wasn't involved, but they also had cleaned my windows and vaccumed the interior!! Then, I received a follow-up call to check on the service. I was asked on a scale of 1 to 10, how would I rate it, and I said TWELVE! Seriously, they're that good. Several years ago, having our cars repaired by Mike's Auto Body at this place in Concord was amazing. So thinking that they would be doing the same quality of work, we brought another car to them but the result was really extreme. This time it really sucks. So disgusted that I had to bug them several times to no avail. The issue was just simple, just change the front car bra to match the existing color for the bra that was not damaged but instead they keep on telling us that it will take time to let the color take its course. It's never gonna happen. My Mbenz now looks old and you can really tell it had been in an accident. So if you love your car, beware of this shop! As luck would have it, in 2010 I had bought a brand new car and weeks later hit a pedestrian crossing a parking lot exit. I had brought my car to this location to have it repaired. Well, 3 years later, the clear coat on the hood was starting to chip. Mike's has a lifetime warranty on paint. So I called to have the hood fixed. I would have given 10 stars because the repairs that were done on my BMW and James were stellar! However, here is where it goes downhill. I had surgery and answering my phone calls or emails was the last thing on my mind. Sarah, the office manager, emailed, called me and my daughter, and left a message that my insurance made an error and that my deductible was not waived after all. I get it this is a company that needs to be paid, but the lack of compassion Sarah had about my situation. I have never dealt with someone so callous and insensitive. I'm in business development and customer service is first priority, but I guess some people don't care about it. If you want great work come here, but beware of the calls or emails you may get from Sarah, per her email to me after I've signed my docusign stating I will pay by the end of July, she will email or text me every week. Round 4 with Mike's Auto Body in Concord, bumper has the paint doing the same thing the hood was doing from bad prep and over painting it has started to lift and split. They found that it's my fault the paint is lifting so they will not repair it. I have gone round and round with these idiots and now it's to the point of me saying never take your car to this shop, they do 1/2 ass work and don't stand by it. Now I have to pay out of pocket to have the bumper and hood painted. They are costing me more time, inconvenience and money. They don't want to make a customer happy they would rather send them off unhappy and willing to blast them on social media. So I again warn you if they are the body shop your insurance recommends ask for another shop or have someone go with you to inspect the work when you pick up your car so they don't screw you over as well. read more
