I brought our car here after a very good experience with the OTHER Concord location a few years ago. They were (and still are) a AAA certified repair location which means AAA back theire work for life regardless of whatever the shop does or doesnt do. I sent my wife to this location because I mis-remembered the address of where we had been before. She dropped the car , took the rental and went on her way. After we got the car back nearly a week late there were a few items that indicated to me that the job had been rushed. After speaking with my insurance and the shop manager at Mike's, they agreed to bring the car back in address my issues. Several weeks later we arranged to drop the car again. The work they performed the second time was first-rate and we couldn't be happier. If I rated the first visit it would have been a 1 or 2 star, the second visit on it's own would be a 5 star for sure. Sometimes things do go perfectly; an indicator of a great business is one that recognizes this and will go above and beyond to make things right. As a side note, the overall Yelp ratings for this location have been consistently getting better the past few months; another indicator that good things are happening here. read more

Andrew worked with me to make sure my car would be at the shop as short a duration as possible knowing I was trying to avoid renting a car for too long. Also when it came time to pick up my car I was in a big hurry to get somewhere and they helped me get in and out in less than 10 minutes (granted there was no line). Mike's Auto Body has horrible service. Someone rear ended my car. The insurance company referred me to this location. I didn't much choice but to go there. I made an appointment to get estimates for the repair. When I went there, the adjuster was out on lunch. Someone took pictures and told me when the adjuster is back from lunch, she will review the picture and estimate the repair. She says it will be the visual/initial estimate and once we start the work, we will get the actual estimate. First of all, why do you make an appointment during the adjuster lunch time? I took a day off from work to make that appointment. Second, how can you estimate the repair looking at the cell phone pictures? This estimate suppose to be as accurate as possible. If it could be done looking at the photos, the insurance companies wouldn't need local adjusters. I already reached out to the insurance company to refer me to a different location with 100 miles. read more

I took my car here after someone broke the side window and bent up the frame next to it. I was surprised at how nice the whole facility was - clean, comfortable, cool, and free coffee. The people were all very friendly and helpful, and went beyond expectations to help. They drove me to a Hertz rental office, and dropped me off. The office was crowded, and nobody even talked to me for about 10 minutes; I then realized that it was getting late, and I needed to pick up my wife at the BART station soon, so I called Mike's back, and told them about it, and asked if they could pick me up and give me a ride to my house, where I had a spare car. They cheerfully did it with no problem. They had said it might be up to a week to get the parts and make the repairs, but called five days later to tell me it was done. The repairs looked perfect, and my very dirty car was clean. All the broken glass was cleaned up, and after about 10 minutes, I drove it home. They work with the rental car agency and can even return the rental if desired, but it was on my way, so I did it myself, and the rental car person knew exactly where Mike's was. I have no hesitation in giving them a perfect score, because everything was done perfectly, so they deserve it. read more

Came in with my fiancé to get her car back after she got t-boned by a driver, at first I feared for the worse since they did some major damage to her fairly new car, but once I saw the car fixed up I could have sworn they gave her a new car from all the work and detail they put into the car. I truly appreciate the work Derrick did to make sure everything was taken care of in a timely matter. To make things even better when Derrick wasn't around during the car pick up his co worker nino was there and made sure to go over everything in detail with us and even took care of returning our rental care for us. I purchased my wife a wheelchair. Hot pink, in color with the type of wheelchair it is in big, black 3 inch letters running down both sides. I want to replace them with her name, in Disney font; purple. The issue is, the wheelchair manufacturer said to me, when i called to ask, "it is a hard decal, it is etched in to the metal." I tried going to six different body shops, asking for help because I was told, that "body shops have super secret shit" that no one knows about. All of these body shops pretty much told me to take a long walk on a short pier; all except Mike's Auto Body in Concord, CA; specifically, Nick Thorne the location manager and Nicollette. Nicollette came out first and took a look see at the issue. She did not have to do that (and the lady at the front desk did not have to go and get Nicollete either) both of them could have told me that I had a better chance at getting pregnant but they did not. Nicollete looked at it, spent about 15 minutes of her precious time with me and then went to get Nick. Nick spent about 20 minutes, started with a razor blade and when that did not work, came back with that super secret shit I was talking about. Now I could tell you what that super secret shit was but I wont. I won't because I respect their decision to assist me and if you are like me, and have a project that involves anything body/paint related, whether it be vehicle or wheelchair, you should run on down to Mike's Auto Body in Concord, CA-ask for Nicollette and Nick, and let them share with you the super secret shit they shared with me. In sum, let me say, that the super secret shit I received, actually came to me in two parts; the first part, is evident in this review; excellent customer service. I know there are those out there thinking, "well, duh, that aint a secret." I beg to differ. In this day and age of technical ordering, online buying and phone answering services that leave one wishing for a stroke, customer service is a lost art, that more business could use practice with. The second part of the super secret shit; the stuff they used to remove the hard decal; the sauce that made that "etched on brand" dissappear like a puff of smoke...well, that stuff was called.................. read more
