The pepperoni and veggie rolls are delicious inside AND out. The veggie rolls are just a bit better altho the moisture content of the veggies can play havoc with the crust if you leave it wrapped in the foil. The Mediterranean pizza is so very full of flavor--I haven't bothered with any other. All have a wonderful garlic (and rosemary?) flavor. I'm hooked. read more

I think this place is great. The pizza's always cooked perfectly, they have a good selection of toppings, and the salads are much better than you usually see from smaller pizza delivery places. And, it's pretty reasonably priced. The staff is always pleasant and they've never gotten an order wrong, whether I call it in or place it online. The roomy and I were watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and had a craving for pizza lol. I made a comment we were like the ninja turtles seeing as pretty much all we eat is pizza. Anyway he had a Milano pizza flyer and we wanted to try it so he ordered a thin crust pepperoni, mushroom, and spinach pizza. It arrived within an hour and I must say that pizza was DE-LI-CIOUS!. Best cheesy bread. Really good pizza. Garlic is actually 'fresh', real mozzarella. The delivery issues I read about in reviews seem to be resolved. Delivery arrived exactly 45 minutes after order. The guy who delivered the pizza was very nice as well as the person on the phone. Will for sure order again. Great to have a local that delivers. read more

I was disappointed that this did not turn out to be a great little neighborhood place like I wanted it to be. I ordered the eggplant parm sub and tiramisu as take out and the initial experience was average - friendly and okay wait time. When I got home however the disappointment started. The sub was terrible and they did not include the tiramisu that I ordered and paid for. I called and the person who answered the phone had no communication skills. I had to explain the missing tiramisu 4 times and it was like talking to a rock. When he finally understood the problem he said I could come get or they would credit me. I was not about to drive back up there on their mistake so I asked for the credit. Needless to say no credit has been applied to my card. I will not try them again. read more

If you are are masochist this place rocks! Extra horrible service and mediocre pizza at best. You would be better off throwing some sauce on top of your money and just eating it. If you do decide to eat here try your best to avoid the owner as he is extremely unpleasant. Their pizza, wings, jalapeno poppers, desserts, and salad have never disappointed me. I've never found them to be skimping on ingredients, and the crust and sauce on their pizzas is wonderful. The Mediterranean pizza is especially good. Wasn't so impressed by their pasta. However, all that said, I have had horrible experience with them getting my orders wrong to the point that every time I order from them I have to include special instructions to get the order right. This goes for both ordering online and over the phone. They have repeatedly shown up with the wrong pizza (I called to address it and they sent the right one out free of charge, while allowing me to keep the wrong one) or just left out parts of my order (like the desserts). Don't try to tip online because they won't record it. The delivery guys have been nice, but one of them after a number of incidents of me telling him the order was wrong has been more frustrated with me - not sure why he's the one that's frustrated, aside from the fact that means he has to climb three flights of stairs a second time to correct the issue... read more

Not a good night for Milano's. I order from them regularly, and last night I ordered a pizza and two meat ball subs. The order got here on time, as I've come to expect from them, but when I took the pizza inside I noticed that it was the wrong size (ordered a large, received a medium). I was just going to brush it off, but when I opened the box I was pretty surprised, and my girlfriend who was with me just laughed out right. The pizza was nothing short of butchered. The pizza slices (if I can even call them that) were just flat out odd; cut into uneven lines, and multiple triangles within triangles. It almost looked like some insane wizard had gotten hold of the pizza and tried carving various rituals into the dough before we could get it. Stranger still! There was absolutely NO cheese in the center of the pizza. None! It wasn't as if it had fallen off, it just simply was not there! Like someone had grabbed it from the center and just vanished with it. My girlfriend called them back and explained to them the situation. They said they would have a new pizza for us in under twenty minutes. No problems there. We decided to eat our subs while we waited. Now, I've gotten subs from them quite a few times, but tonight it was all wrong. There was very little cheese on them, and the meatballs seemed either smaller than normal or they had put less in. Either way, the point is it was mostly bread with some marinara sauce. We decided to ignore this omen, and just wait for our new pizza. It got there in under 20 minutes like they said, and we took it, placed it on the dining table, and opened it. They had gotten the size right, no doubt, but where as the last one had looked like it had been sliced up by Freddy Krueger, this one had not been sliced at all. Guess they had forgotten to slice it up before sending it to us. Finally, after cutting it ourselves we bit into it, and just stopped. The taste was just plain wrong. I don't know how to describe it, but something had gone wrong. I've gotten their pizza margherita loads of times in the past, and it has NEVER tasted like that before. Well obviously at this point we were just fed up. We through it out and went out and grabbed some fast food. I have always really liked Milano's, but last night was just plain bad. I will probably get them again in the future to test to see whether last night was a fluke or not, but until then I am keeping my review at two stars. The food last night really deserved 1 star, but I am giving them an extra star because their service was still good and I like their delivery drivers. read more

Ordered online, which was very easy -- pizza rolls, a calzone each for my husband and I and two cannolis. The delivery driver was very polite and everything was as ordered. Calzones were both stuffed to the brim!! One calzone is definitely enough for two people in my opinion. Cannolis were delicious!! And also no shortage of filling. My wife and I have ordered from Milanos about 15 times at this point and we've always been HAPPY with our food. $40 order with the drivers $4 tip i gave. Everything came burned and I mean everything. the mozzarella sticks were hollow with black burnt cheese outside of every 1 of them. the shrimp and wings both terribly overcooked dry wings. Pizza rolls the dough on the outside the crust was black and the rolls hollow. Even our Philly sub was BURNED. Not just kind of either on all this - but genuinely overcooked by someone. After contacting them they said "that's how our food just is." No help offered and we just get bumped around and don't get a manager. I really like this place but they don't care about my patronage enough to fix even part of my order. Kinda bummed. I live in a part of town with not many delivery choices. I guess it's Bite Squad time for future Delivery meals. read more

I walked in to pick up my chicken alfredo pasta and one of the men asked " wheres the alfredo " and one of the cooks said " its in the microwave.". The man looked at me and i looked at him. I payed but never again am i going there. I am not paying $11 for microwaved food. I even saw them take it out and put it in a bowl. read more

Most of the reviewers are correct with regards to what's been written about Milano's Pizza. First off the pizza is outstanding. I too happened to decide on Milano's by finding their flyer posted on my door one day (which goes to show that grassroot advertising does work ladies and gentleman). So I ordered my pizza for pickup and I went in afterwards (I never do the delivery thing, I'd rather pick it up myself). The pizza is again outstanding. All my pizzas are always Pepperoni so I wouldn't have knowledge about Milano's other flavors, but as far as the Pepperoni goes it's top of the line. The cheese and the bread are what definitely make the difference. As for delivery I would imagine that people might have some trouble there. It does look like a mom and pop place, used but still effective, and there's usually only two or three people working at all times, but hey if they can manage to still deliver around the same time as Mr. Gattis and Pizza hut do with such a small staff, and still make excellent pizza, then all the better. The customer service is great too. I've been there several times now and each time there's a nice young lady that greets me very nicely and always asks how I've been doing. Even one time I came in and she was swamped with phone calls, making orders, and helping me out and still she kept on a great attitude. Great service. Anyways I highly recommend this place if you need some great pizza. Good prices, great taste, and please just pick it up anyways as it's better overall to pick up pizzas (I never do the delivery thing as most of the places are very closeby anyway). read more

I ordered a large pizza (cheese and pepperoni) and a calzone (sausage shooms grilled chix) at 7:22 pm. I was told 20 minutes for delivery. At 8:22 pm I called to find out where my order was. I was assured it would be arriving immediately. At 8:42 pm I called again and I was told that the driver was in the parking lot of my hotel. At 8:53 There was knock on my door. All told, it was 91 minutes from hangup to pizza in my hand. The pizza was cold and tasted pretty damn bad, honestly. The calzone was a f***ing mess. It was soggy, cold, and there was NO cheese in it. Additionally, they put sauce IN the calzone, and being from New York, I know that's wrong. Sauce goes on the side. All in all, myself and my girlfriend were extremely disappointed. I threw the mess that they delivered in the trash and we walked next door to burger king, still craving pizza but too hungry to wait for another company to deliver. 4 Stars for the food (pretty good) 1 Star for the delivery-time (80-100 minutes) 1 Star for Deceptive Prices on Delivery Menu I almost cancelled because the food took so long. Also, I found the menu to be not-only deceptive, but borderline dishonest. After placing what I felt to be a pretty meager dinner for two order and received my total due, I had to have the gentleman taking the order re-hash exactly what everything I ordered cost. It's disheartening to see such a good carry-out deal (9.99XL,5.99MED) turn into $13.99XL/10.99MED. And to charge ANY delivery fee, no matter how small, on top of that? Ridiculous. Oh yea, and I'm pretty certain a 1-topping pizza is the same price as a 3-topping pizza so that sucks if you don't want a bunch of nonsense allover your pizza and are expecting a lower price. Also, can't say the outlandish delivery time was appreciated either. That alone is enough to make me not want to order from them again. So basically there's a lot of places I could justify spending $35+ on a meal for 2 and this place was not one of them. And the dining experience took over two hours from when we ordered to when we finished eating. The next night we went to Chili's, got more food, better food, paid less, and were home in an hour and 12 minutes(maybe less). Yes, the food is better than the chain pizza places, but when it comes with the price tag that it does, how can you even compare it to those places? You have to compare it to a restaurant experience and in those terms it is a definite fail. read more

I'm not certain where all of these amazing reviews come from. These pies are mediocre at best and I hate to say that because I generally enjoy most pizzas. I paid $7 for a 1 topping medium pizza on carry out and it was not worth that. Next time I'm looking for an inexpensive quick pizza, i'll be headed to Little Caesars. The people seem friendly and the pizza only took about 15 minutes but i'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

Wish there was a zero star option! This place of awful! The Philly cheese"steak" had about a half a cup of mayo slathered all over it! WTF??? The 3 tablespoons of meat tasted like they came from the close-out bin at HEB and had gone bad long before cooking/microwaving. The other 90% was gross bell peppers that tasted like they had been dug out of the trash, dried up old mushrooms, onions, and cheese. The Club sandwich was mostly oinions and lettuce. I ordered two pizzas online at 8:35pm. The order was confirmed via email, and so we waited. At 10pm, I tried to call and see where the order was. No answer on the phone. I called again and let it ring 30+ times. No answer. I drove to Milano's, 3 miles away, and was told the order was received, and confirmed, but not made. The gentleman at the counter produced all sorts of excuses - the computer system was having problems, a great cadre of delivery drivers had quit, "Lamar" was out this week... but no solutions to my pizza order other than "Oh, I can make that in, like, 10 minutes." No concessions, no reduced pick-up vs. delivery prices, nothing more than shrugged shoulders and "sorry, man." Sorry, Milano Pizza. Never again. read more

So tonight, I ordered some pasta from Milanos, and as usual, the food was good until I felt a crunch in my mouth and a sharp pain. I spit the food out and found glass. I immediately called the store and talked to the owner. I informed him of what happened, and he responded, "I don't know how that happened, and I cannot refund your money." I said, "I'm not looking for money." I told him, "I think it was done on purpose due to the fact that I work security and left instructions to leave the food at the security desk." The owner then became very defensive over the phone and kept repeating, "I don't know how it happened." He didn't even offer an apology or even tell me that he would see what he could find out. So if you work law enforcement or as security, stay far away from this place. read more
