I made a reservation for 12 for January 13, 2025 at 5:30pm on December 16, 2024. I was texted a confirmation. Luckily one of the people look at their website to see the menu the day before and noticed a notification that they are closed for reservations from January 13th through January 28th. The person called and was told the reservation was removed. I was never notified and we had to scramble to find a reservation elsewhere. Not a good look.

    $10 cheesecake

Unimpressed. At 7 on a Saturday they were out of almost 1/4 of the entrees on the menu. Even worse, the waitress wasn't aware, so we had to reorder 3 times and wait 5 or 10 minutes to come back and tell us that we had to choose again. My dish was beyond bland, though my date's was good. The $10 cheesecake was about 2 bites. It was slightly above average. Won't be going back there.

Absolutely wonderful! We met up with a good friend for lunch. Located conveniently in the Newton Plaza shopping strip, Milano is easy to get to, close to everything, and provides easy parking. The restaurant is beautiful and spacious, yet warm and cozy. They have bar side high tops- perfect for happy hour get together, an outside patio for warm weather, and ample comfortable dining tables. The drink menu offers selection of tasty, smart cocktails and very nice wine selection. We had a delightful blood orange cosmopolitan and glass of an Italian white wine that we just loved. Our friend had a Caesar salad with salmon. She swooned over it (particularly the perfectly cooked salmon.) Hubby and I shared a side Caesar salad - with actual real white anchovies(!) One of the best we've had in years. I had the warm Brussels sprouts salad (from the specials menu) with spinach, tomatoes, butternut squash, and filet mignon strips). This was truly healthy New Year comfort food! It was flavorfully, yet, delicately seasoned. Scrumptious! Hubby also ordered from the specials menu and had the bolognese. He loved it! It was fresh, tomatoey, balanced and authentic. What stood out for all was how vibrant and fresh everything was to the eyes, mouth, nose. Our server was attentive, friendly, experienced and was the proverbial ribbon on top. I've had a few other visits to Milano's over the past year and it's been consistent. Highly recommended.

Good atmosphere, happy waiters, perfect amount of food. Leah M was great! Girlfriend has an allergy and they accommodated her with many options.

Parking in front would have meant backing out later directly into busy Old Loudon Road. "Rustic" looking outside and inside. But after eating the delicious food, I thought who cares about ambiance if the food is this good, actually terrific. Came for the good reviews on the food. Party of five, we selected a table on the porch where there was natural light. My view was of traffic passing by on Old Loudon Road. The inside is dark with only a few tables and a large bar with seating. Pluses were many: *Menu was well organized and full of intriguing choices. There was also a Specials Menu, wine menu, beer menu, and cocktail menu. *Server was experienced enough to take our order without writing it down. But, she did not come back to refill water glasses on warm day. *Food was prepared well and presented nicely! There is a "pic of a Moose" stamped on top of buns! *Generous portions *Reasonable prices for quality of food I ordered the Triple Sliders from the Specials Menu, and I was delighted with the explosion of flavorsI experienced. The Brisket Slider was tender and flavorful. The chicken one had a unique tasty sauce. The pulled pork slider had the tastiest caramelized onions on it. BBQ SLIDER TRIO- $16.95 * Pulled pork with onion strings and ranch drizzle *Smoked brisket with pickle chips, coleslaw and a moonshine drizzle *Fried chicken with shaved Parmesan and honey bbq drizzle Others in party also enjoyed their food: Cheese Burgers, Pulled Pork with sweet potato fries, and a Quesadilla. Food 5 Stars Parking 2 Stars Seating 3 Stars There would not be much seating available during colder months. And place is popular. Service 4 Stars Exterior Appearance 2 Stars Several large empty plastic containers were tossed out back of building. Hindered me from turning to get out of parking spot.

I was looking forward to a bowl of French Onion Soup, but it was a disappointment. 3 stars at best. --The onion slices were not soft from a long sauté and not browned from proper preparation. --The broth was bland, and the bread pieces were mush. I ordered the appetizer Pub Ribs, and they were praise worthy as always. My friend enjoyed them as well. Another friend got a serving to go to bring home to her husband. The small salads were good. Their balsamic dressing is tasty. The Pumpkin Soup was a hit. One friend got the Gobbler Sandwich. It was about seven inches tall. She was surprised. You certainly could not take a bite sandwich style. The height came from the large amount of lettuce on top of the turkey. Another enjoyed a very good Reuben and coleslaw. Service was good at first since we arrived right at opening. Later, server was busy with other tables. She refilled cups of coffee but not water glasses. Our table was bussed mid lunch to remove used plates. Big issue: Two stars for the ambiance. Six of us were seated at a large round table in one corner of the main dining room. After 30 minutes of customers filling most tables, the NOISE level in the room was terrible! We could not even hear the person seating across the table. So much for merry conversation...

Because we have a toddler, I stayed away. However, on a cold December Saturday night I decided that it was time for an adventure. A Philly adventure... When we arrived the seating area was very empty and we quickly found our own table. There were lots of TVs on showing sports but because they were muted, and because the background music was soft we could actually hear ourselves. It was nice. The staff were very friendly. I ordered a cheesesteak, my wife ordered smoked wings, and we later got a cheese pizza for our son. The food came out pretty quick. I loved my cheesesteak. Now, I have no idea how "authentic" it is but the bread was lovely and light and crisp, the meat was good, and the hot peppers were actually hot. The smoked wings were okay, but I am more of a deep-friend Buffalo sauce type of guy and they tasted more like roasted chicken (which... they were). The pizza was very good and the sauce was a little bit sweet but it was nice that it didn't taste jarred. They have their own type of pizza and it worked. I think we came at the right time, as they were setting up for a 12-person party which would have made things really loud. Is there a dance hall upstairs? I dunno, but I never noticed club music. I don't know if we will always get so lucky on picking a night to visit but I wish I had stopped by sooner as it was a nice place to go and eat.

She was overwhelmed, and so were the chef and bartender. The ground beef was dry on my Ultimate Nachos order. Throwing salsa over it did not help much. The cut of beef was definitely not a Prime or Choice, which are juicier; and I could barely taste the alcohol in my Hennessy Colada. The drink was watered down, lacking flavor. The food and drink in this Albany, NY restaurant rivals NYC prices. For example, it costs $16.99 for 10 wings. I sampled one, and it had a sparse amount of Buffalo sauce. Another example: It cost me $18.99 for the Ultimate Nachos with ground beef, and the beef tasted low grade--not prime or choice. We sat outside on Karaoke night. Maybe that is why our orders took so long. Nevertheless, singers had a lot of fun, and listeners gave some good laughs. Our bill automatically included an 18% gratuity, which is fine, but a verbal warning should have been given. Because of the mediocre food and service, JT Maxie's won't be getting my business again.

I absolutely think this place is great!…read more I was introduced to Fallside through a Yelp Event earlier this year. I talked about it so much at work my friends begged to go. We met up for 50 cent wings on Sunday. Yeah, that's right, what is this 2006? 50 cent wings, and they are no joke! Big plump and juicy wings cooked perfectly crispy and generously tossed in sauce with was was described as house-made ranch or blue cheese dressing? My friends really enjoyed them. I had the fried vegetable gyoza and I can't say I've ever had them deep fried before, more like steamed or pan-fried, but this was a game changer! I was really looking forward to the Imposter cheezy jalapeno bites but our server informed us they were out. I love that they have several vegan options on the menu. At the Yelp Event we were fortunate enough to try the vegan pizza and it was honestly one of the best vegan pizzas around the Capital Region. They use Imposter plant-based cheese which is a local product made by a small business in Troy. I love that small businesses are supporting each other like this. The beer is excellent too, we were looking forward to having the red ale since I spoke so fondly of it but it was tapped out. I had a really good mango IPA which hazy doesn't even begin to describe! It's really nice inside and on Sunday it had just become warm enough by mid afternoon, they opened the big garage door and let some fresh air in which was no nice after such a long winter. I think I can speak for my coworkers and I that we will be coming back again soon so please keep those vegan options stocked up!

I was disappointed that I could not attend Yelp Albany's recent event at Bye-I-now-Fallside Brewery…read morea few weeks ago. So the next time I scheduled a brewery crawl in the area, I made sure to come here. I submitted a business page update regarding the rebranding, but at this point, I don't know whether Yelp will simply rename the existing page or create a new one for Fallside. For the time being, my update goes under Bye-I. The new space is great. I had no idea how much bigger it was until I walked a ways inside, and I was equally impressed by the cool artwork. The beer is, of course, as tasty as before. We seated ourselves in the back to enjoy our pours, and within a couple of minutes, a server dropped off food menus and attended to us the rest of the evening. Had I read my recently obtained copy of the March-April copy of local "True Brew," I would have known that several of their dishes were featured in it, specifically their beef stew and mac & cheese. But I had the Chicken Caprese sandwich, which came with steak fries perfectly cooked and obviously cut in their own kitchen. We were checked on frequently, and as we were finishing up, their Friday evening music session was starting. Food and drink here are reasonably priced, and I feel the quality of both were just as good, or perhaps better, than what you get at "those larger breweries" along Broadway. Of course I'll still patronize them all, but for me, Fallside has the edge in this part of town right now.
