I told them the timeline I needed the job to be completed and they agreed and executed the job. However, they were later for the initial survey. What was also frustrating was that I got no call or heads-up about what was happening. I had to reach out to find out why there was a delay and when I could expect someone to be at my home. Then, on the day of the repair, the tech no-showed on me. I had been waiting around just for this repair and had other places I had to be, so I couldn't continue to wait past the service window that had been agreed upon. I again had to reach out to the shop to see what was going on as I received no phone call with a status update. I understand jobs run long sometimes, but I don't understand why I was never given a simple courtesy call. As this was late afternoon on a Friday, I asked for a manager to call on Monday to discuss a discount due to the delay. Again, no one called me.. so I reached out Monday afternoon after the window had been replaced Monday morning (tech was on time on Monday as I had the first appointment slot). I asked the manager for a discount to be applied since the tech had been late twice. He said they couldn't do this since this was "a rush job," and they had to squeeze us into the schedule as it was. At no point was I ever told before that this was a "rush job" or that I was using some kind of expedited service, so to claim no discount could be applied since they were really doing me a favor was pretty annoying. However, the shop did apply a Military discount, which was much appreciated. I had a short timeline to get this work done and didn't have the time or energy to fight this more, so I left it at that. The window was fixed quickly, and the work looked great. Here's what would have made things right: a phone call when the tech was running late, an honest review of the schedule and what the timeline for the job was, the manager to call back when requested, and a discount applied for their mistake with scheduling (even if they just called the military discount a courtesy discount I would have been happier).

Excellent experience from start to finish…read more Derek and Aaron fabricated and installed a 96" × 39" × ¼" tempered glass top to protect and showcase my collection of German beer coasters that I brought home from my Army service in Germany more than fifty years ago. Before installation, they carefully cleaned and polished both sides of the glass, handled it with exceptional care, and achieved a perfect fit. What was once simply a bar top has now become a protected display of memories from a very special chapter of my life. The glass is so clear it almost disappears, allowing the collection to be enjoyed while preserving it for years to come. From the prompt response and excellent communication to the precision of the installation, every aspect of the experience exceeded my expectations. Derek and Aaron clearly take pride in their craftsmanship, and it shows. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for custom glass work. Outstanding service, exceptional workmanship, and beautiful result Highly recommended!

In short Absolutely great guy doing amazing work at very…read morefair prices. In long There might be more than one person on staff, especially when it gets busy, but I dealt directly with Austin. He's a super-nice kid who reminded me a lot of some of my favorite people who make their livings in the trades. Our house is 35 years old this year, and our French doors are likely original. One side has always opened fine, but as of last week, we couldn't open the other side, which is something we need at the moment. A Boeing engineer and a professional handyman were having wine on the back deck with me, and between the 3 of us, after 10 minutes of fiddling, we gave up. Enter True W&D. Austin texted me within 24 hours of filling out the contact-us form on their website, and he was at the house within an hour when I asked if he had an appointment open. He messed with the door for a few minutes, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it in maybe 15 minutes. Added longer screws once he was done, so now the door is more securely mounted, too. Another company wanted $490 just to set foot on the property, fix or no fix. Austin did it for $200 flat, right on the button with his quote--as he put it, "$200 if I can fix it, $0 if I can't." That made this a very easy choice, and he more than lived up to the basic faith I put into hiring him. We have a few windows around here that need updating, and when we get to that part of the to-do list, he'll be my first call for sure.

Ivan and his team arrived on time and completed the install, replacing the exterior window and the interior door trim to match what was installed (but with better quality). Ivan was even able to address our misaligned original window trim. Now our drafty house feels sealed and quiet, with a noticable decrease in the time the heater is running. Kirill was responsive to any questions and worked with us to resolve a misunderstanding of weekend scheduled work. Ivan, Roman, and Teras were all attentive to our interior and made a point to clean up afterwards.

I ended up purchasing all of my windows through him and was very happy with the level of professionalism and support I received. I will also add that He did a good job of keeping up ongoing communication regarding the delivery date of my windows and helpful with working with having to deliver them to an alternate location since I wasn't able to deliver them directly to my house when they arrived. Very helpful. I highly recommend Kirill and his team for your next project!

Looking for a Christmas miracle? Well, FDC Glass just became my holiday hero! Picture this:…read moreshattered glass panes on my front door, a dozen contractors telling me "just replace the whole door" (aka "give us more money"), and me slowly losing hope faster than a snowman in July. Enter FDC Glass, cape flapping in the wind (okay, maybe not literally, but you get the vibe). Not only was their quote actually reasonable, but they didn't hit me with the classic contractor combo of upsells and surprise charges. They even sealed up my entrance while working on the door - no extra fee, no fuss, just good old-fashioned service. The result? My door looks fantastic, my wallet isn't crying, and I'm singing their praises louder than carolers in December. I've already told my HOA about them, and you bet I'll be calling them for my other properties. TL;DR: FDC Glass = Christmas miracle workers who actually fix what's broken instead of trying to sell you a whole new house. 10/10 would recommend!

Update: Since…read moreposting this review the company has continued to threaten me by emailing me directly. I understand the company disagrees with my review, but I was disappointed by the tone of their response and the implied pressure to remove it. Being told they would publicly respond and report the review to Yelp and Google if I didn't remove it felt unnecessarily aggressive and intimidating. Also in response to their comments below Thank you for confirming the exact root of the problem: you looked at a three-pane window, saw that only the middle section was currently foggy, and assumed I only wanted that single section replaced. As a professional window company, it was your responsibility to clearly state: "We see only the middle pane is failing, so this quote is strictly for one pane of glass, not the entire window unit you asked for." You didn't do that. You just wrote "1 glass replacement" on a quote for a "window replacement" request and expected a regular homeowner to know the technical difference. The fact remains: I asked for a window replacement. I provided a photo of the entire window. Other companies looked at the exact same information and managed to quote the entire three-pane unit for a price comparable to what you charged me for just the middle section. You can keep calling a customer's genuine financial frustration "deceptive" to protect your online rating, but your own responses show a complete lack of accountability. You made an assumption, failed to communicate it clearly upfront, and I had to pay the premium for it. Prospective clients can read this back-and-forth and decide for themselves if they want to risk dealing with a company that hides behind ambiguous quote terminology instead of practicing transparent communication. I am done repeating myself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently had a foggy/failing window repaired that consisted of 3 separate sections. Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication during the quoting process, only the middle section was replaced. That was really frustrating because it made the overall cost much higher compared to other companies I had received quotes from. To their credit, they did offer to replace the remaining sections at a discount after I brought up the issue. However, even with the discount, the final price still ends up being significantly more expensive than competitors. Had everything been communicated more clearly upfront, I likely would have chosen a different company. The biggest issue for me was the lack of clarity during the quoting process. It felt misleading to realize afterward that the quote only covered one section instead of the full window I thought we had discussed. That said, I do want to give credit to the installation crew because they were excellent. They were respectful, worked quickly, kept everything clean, and did quality work. My frustration is mainly with the communication and quoting side of the experience, not the installers themselves.
