Their milk tea is okay. The tea strength and boba quality are good. This style of tea uses real milk mixed with water-steeped tea. While the ingredients are of good quality, this method produces tea that feels watered-down because it is at a lower milk concentration. Contrary to other reviews, regular tea with boba is just under $5 (about right). Their cups are decorative, but the gf and I each spilled tea on ourselves within 5 seconds of receiving our orders. Apparently these cups are not so great when nearly full. You can see them make rolled ice cream through a glass window, which entertains children. So I've been back and forth with loving this place and being frustrated with the insane line. The brown sugar milk tea with mini bona and milk cap tops anything Starbucks can make, and it's priced that way. Having said that, it's wildly addictive and worth a 5 minute wait. More than that, and it's Divine Intervention that today is not the day. The line is proof of the quality ingredients, taste, and popularity. I will continue to go back, line permitting, and maybe try something else if temporary amnesia sets in. Still haven't tried the ice cream. We ordered the Campfire Delight ice cream and the Strawberry Milk Cap Tea. The Campfire Delight is suppose to be a chocolate ice cream with graham crackers, Hershey chocolate and marshmallow. Looking for a place to satisfy our sweet tooth, me and my sister were happy to find this place only a few minutes from the KBBQ place we got dinner at. It's really cute inside, bright, clean and smells like heaven. The cashier was super friendly and helped us figure out how to order since we had never been before. We went for the brown sugar boba and the cookies and cream rolled ice cream. The boba was so delicious. It comes in a super fancy frosted cup and lid and I was surprised to see the boba is translucent instead of the traditional black. The boba was delicious, with the perfect chewy texture and the cream and brown sugar was tasty. I really enjoyed getting to watch them roll out the icecream, it was so cool to see. We got to have unlimited toppings and went a little crazy with it lol. We got pocky, teddy grahams, oreas and syrup. They really took their time, placing each topping so carefully and precisely. The finished product was almost too pretty to eat! But let me tell you, this is some of the best icecream I've ever had in my life. The staff was very friendly and since it was my first time, they took the time to explain the menu and ensured my order was complete with what I wanted. One of my favorite bubble tea places in the Raleigh area. I got the brown sugar milk tea with mini boba, first off the boba is amazing. Although I wish I got less sugar, a little too sweet for my liking especially with the boba being sweet already. I do recommend the mini vs regular size boba if you're trying it out for the first time or if you're not truly a boba fan but just want the extra something in your drink. The ice cream is pretty to look at and the flavors are fun, but there isn't a lot of room for toppings (if you're a toppings person - for example, you can't load it up like you would at a fro yo place). The rolled ice cream craze has made it's way to Cary and I think in the end it is just a craze. I prefer a simplistic regular ice cream versus the rolled. I found that the rolled ice cream had a somewhat starchy texture to it that didn't fit my liking. Also, it's quite expensive for ice cream ($6+) but you can get unlimited toppings and such. The boba and teas are pretty good. I got a lemon rose tea with boba and thought it was delicious, although on the sweeter side. I think there are other places that have better boba teas. The lines can get really long and the wait for the rolled ice cream even longer. They only have three slabs in which to roll the ice cream. Seating is also very limited and cheap. I've seen kids lean on tables and knock the whole table over. read more

As an avid trier of new things I went for my first Milk Cap tea here at Milk Lab Cafe and I was impressed with just how layered the flavors were in this milky, creamy, iced oolong tea. This iced, unsweetened tea is topped with a frothy layer of organic milk and pink Himalayan salt. This beverage was worth the visit. My two young ones were there for one thing and one thing only, the hand-rolled Thai ice cream. I have had Thai ice cream before and I've really enjoyed it. It's pretty good here and the unlimited toppings are certainly a nice bonus. One of my favorite things was the lighting and open layout. The atmosphere is fast-paced but I didn't feel rushed or uncomfortable lingering or taking pictures ( I didn't linger but I did take pictures).
