Shaved Ice Signature and Mango Mangoberry Shaved Ice

We were in the mood for a nice cold treat and being that I had never been to Meet Fresh, decided on taking a drive out to Pacific Commons. Ordering was easy at a walk up kiosk, and there was plenty of seating. Our order came out quickly, and I was shocked by how big the size large is (all servings are medium or large). The large can easily be split into 3-4 servings. The shaved ice was smooth and creamy, and the toppings were super fresh! It hit the spot. There's a handwashing station and water station that come in handy when you're cleaning up and need to hydrate afterwards. I heard this place can get filled up pretty quickly in the evenings, but we came by around 2pm on a Thursday afternoon and had a very pleasant experience with no wait time or fighting for a table. We'll be back!

Came here for a night cap with friends... One order is good for 2-3 people, generous serving.

Finally checked this location out again after a bad first experience. When you arrive, you order at the kiosk. Only one was available when I arrived on a Friday night so I'm glad it wasn't busy. Got my shaved ice for dine in. There was more ice than condensed milk so we asked for more and they kindly gave us a little more without the charge. Plenty of tables and decent space to dine in.

A must for the people who like their desserts "not too sweet." It is not my go-to for desserts, but it is refreshing and not overly sweet (I ten to prefer the sweeter desserts.) To order, we used the kiosk. It was in a different language which made it a little harder to understand. However, the visuals made the process easier. There are many seating options and I love the different shapes and options of seating areas. Great for a gathering or a quick dessert with friends.

A great dessert place in the Bay Area. Everything we ordered was delicious and the sweetness was perfect. Service was efficient and fast. The place is good for meeting up and hanging out with friends. Will definitely be back to this dessert place.

Tapioca balls, red beans, mochi, and milk tea all packed up in convenient bowls big enough to split among two but certainly a treat one can finish on their own! Came in on a random weekend afternoon before the evening rush looking for a little pick me up and what a satisfying visit this was. Osthmanthus seems to be the seasonal flavor and their tofu pudding shaved ice was delicious! After parking in the spacious lot and entering the building, I headed to the self service kiosks as it seems they were short-staffed and weren't operating the typical registers. As mentioned before, having more defined pictures of each ingredient would have been nice on the electronic ordering system. I ended up having to flip my eyes between the posters and physical menus at the kiosk to decipher what my tastebuds were craving. I had a challenging time deciding what to get since their special combos and deals definitely looked enticing but I wasn't looking to feast during this visit. I ended up settling on getting the osthmanthus tofu pudding shaved ice bowl and took advantage of the egg waffle that came with an additional 3 dollars. As I waited for my order to be completed, I took a look inside the huge dining area that was nearly empty at this time except for an older couple also awaiting their order. It was pretty quiet but I was out of there shortly. The staff were quick and friendly. The mochi egg waffle was crispy yet chewy from the tapioca flour used to make it. The chocolate sauce found inside was scrumptious. The portion was decent and definitely shareable. The tofu pudding was premade but was refreshing. It was only slightly sweet and paired really well with the "soup" base. The other chewy bites were great complements as well but after halfway through, it does get a bit old. Highly recommend to share! Meet Fresh has an online app which can be used to place orders and also has a rewards system that allows you to earn and redeem points for discounts. On your birthday, they also gift you points equivalent of 3 dollars which gets you about half a drink, which to me isn't worth a trip specifically for the birthday freebie. It's still a nice gesture though so if you're a frequent visitor and a fan, be sure to sign up! Overall, Meet Fresh is a great place to satisfy your craving for classic Asian desserts like red bean soup, grass jelly, tofu pudding, almond/sesame soup. The prices are relatively high due to the portion size and variety of ingredients you'll be having in your dessert meal. With their deals and combos, bring a friend and you'll be dining with value! Come during non-peak times and you'll be able to order in peace and at least won't have to wait too long for your order. This place definitely makes its way in my rotation and if it's "fresh" to you, perhaps it'll be on yours too!

in pac rim plaza - hard to find parking esp on weekends order on kiosk - pretty straightforward one thing I noticed about this meetfresh - the shaved ice is very pointy?? like other meetfreshes have them in a normal round hefty pile, but this one straight up is like a giant isosceles triangle overall was too much water/ice for two people :)

Cozy Taiwanese dessert shop with dim lighting and modern design inside. We got the Icy Grass Jelly Signature with Taro Balls. The Grass Jelly had a fragrant taste with a delicate texture. The handmade purple and orange Taro Balls were soft and chewy. The Melon Jelly looked interesting, so we added it on the side to try. It tastes like winter melon tea made into jelly form. Would get again. The bottom has shaved ice that you can adjust the amount of. It comes with two creamers to pour on top, giving the dessert soup a milky creamy consistency. Huge portion size. Overall refreshing and not too sweet. The Matcha Red Bean Egg Waffle was made fresh and hot. Crunchy exterior and fluffy interior. It had a nice earthy flavor from the matcha and was super loaded with red beans in every bite. We had fun tearing off the small waffle balls and popping them in our mouths. Side note - the to-go bag was great in maintaining the temperatures of our desserts. It is made of a reusable cloth-like material that makes it sturdy too. A nice, caring touch! Service is quick, we ordered online and everything was ready for pickup when we arrived. They also sell various teas, other desserts like tofu pudding, shaved ice, caramel pudding, mochi, cake, and seasonal items. I'm glad there are both cold and hot items available for any kind of weather. They have a large assortment of toppings that I want to try next time!

Saturday night and it's packed here. My first time and I'm underwhelmed by it. It's shaved ice with all the condiments but lawdddd it can expensive. One of our orders was almost $20 with red beans, condensed milk, boba and jelly. The waffle had some red beans and had a dip on the side was $10. I guess this is the going prices around here. Not our idea to come as our friends wanted to meet here this night. The filled with ppl. Overall it's ok. I didn't really see workers able to get away and clean tables when patrons leave. They serve other items like warm desserts and drinks and to me, all were ok.

Came here with my sister and ordered the osmanthus shaved ice, osmanthus jelly tea, and herbal tea. The shaved ice was super sweet and the ice pieces were big and just overall not good. The osmanthus jelly tea wasn't good just bitter water. My sister takes a sip of the herbal tea and there's a whole piece of plastic in it. She could've swallowed it but luckily she didn't. We just felt disappointed and disgusted at this point so we just tossed everything. Wasted money, time, and calories :(

Got the build your own bowl. Icy grass jelly + rice balls + crystal mochi. I personally belive that there should be more crystal mochi when added on. For $1.25 we were only given 1 mochi. I've ordered this topping at other locations and usually receive 3. I totally understand it costing a little more than their other toppings, but to have just 1 is too little. Also, the red beans in the mochi is a bit on the sweet/strong side. The flavor is totally fine on its own, but clashes with the lighter grass jelly flavor. Otherwise, Grass jelly and ice had solid "grassy" flavor and it was an overall refreshing dessert to end the day. Service was really fast and staff was kind. Interior is spacious and great for groups.

Really cute place for dessert, drinks and vibes! Their selections for everything is enormous and overwhelming! We also got the egg puffs a that was okay, nothing too special. I'm sure other things on the menu are delicious but they looked extremely sweet. So if you're watching your sugar then I suggest a different place! But this is a really chill place to do homework, work on your laptop, or even chat with your friends!

This eatery is decent for what it serves. They also come in very large portions and could be shared among 3 humans, if you don't want to be selfish. Lots of seating and great staff!

Easily the best pistachio latte I've ever had. The pistachio flavor tastes rich and legit without being overly sweet or covering up the coffee. A lot of pistachio drinks at other spots taste like artificial syrup, but this one is smooth, balanced, and actually complements the espresso. I also love seeing that deep green color in the clear cups--it just looks so aesthetic and makes the drink feel even more authentic. Honestly, 9 out of 10 times, this is what I'm ordering. If it's your first time here, PLEASE get it. Thankfully my husband is always down to be adventurous and order something different so we can still guarantee at least one pistachio latte on the table lol. His go-to is the Qamaria Latte with oatmilk, sometimes with cold foam. It sounds simple--espresso, steamed milk, cardamom, and cinnamon-but it tastes like comfort in a cup. The cardamom and cinnamon make it feel warm, cozy, and layered without punching you in the face with sugar. Nothing tastes artificial here. Everything feels intentional and made with care. Also, whether you dine in or take it to-go, the drinks always look cute. I LOVE the dine-in presentation though. The iced drinks come in clear glass cups so you can see all the layers, and the hot drinks come in these thick ceramic mugs that make the experience feel extra cozy. And I'm such a sucker for their tray setup too--everything matches the aesthetic so well and makes coffee dates here feel extra special. And don't even get me started on the milk cakes because they are dangerously good. My fave is the Biscoff milk cake. It's super soft, creamy, rich, and has the perfect caramelized cookie flavor without being too sweet. It paired sooo well with the warm spices in the coffee. _______________________________________________________ --- S E R V I C E --- Each barista I ever had was kind and super chill. I never felt rushed and they took their time answering questions. It sounds pretty simple but I feel like even with how busy it can get, they pace themselves accordingly behind the counter so that they are intentional and patient with their customers, and work in a consistent pace that gets drinks done in time and hands them off with care. Very contrast to a cafe where baristas are working so fast-paced that their interactions are short and it feels like that they just want to get the drink over with and passed off to the customer. It all goes back to Qamaria's baristas being intentional with the way that they work. Keep doin' your thing y'all. Love the flow. _______________________________________________________ --- A M B I A N C E -- It's funny because the first time my husband and I pulled up was after dinner on a Friday night. He was feenin' for coffee and was like, "What's even open this late?" Yoooo, finding out Qamaria Yemeni Coffee was open until 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays instantly made us happy because now we got a late-night spot whenever the cravings hit. Most nights they're open until midnight too, which is dangerous lol. And let me tell you... this place gets CRACKIN'. We came around 10:30 PM and the line was out the door, but I'm so glad we stayed because the drinks changed our life. Even on a random weekday when I met up with a homegirl, we looked up from yappin' for hours and suddenly the line was wrapped outside again. Trust--it's worth the wait. The inside is warm, modern, and culturally rich without feeling forced or overly trendy. The arches, lighting, patterned seating, earthy tones, and artwork make the whole space feel cozy and intentional. Even when it's packed, it still feels welcoming and communal--honestly just proof this is THE spot to be no matter the time of day. People are studying, catching up with friends and fam, working, or just vibing over coffee, and it somehow all works together perfectly. It's the type of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile instead of grabbing your drink and leaving. P.S. Keep an ear out for some Arabic covers of hip hop and pop songs! So much fun to come across as you're doin' ya thang.

In a word - disappointing We were expecting awesomeness, but we got mostly mediocre. The pistachio latte was bad, Biscoff cheesecake was just okay, and the pistachio milk cake was actually really good. Amber was so sweet, she helped me box up my order and went over the flavors of the donuts i chose before closing the box in front of me. I got the black sesame, churro, matcha hazelnut, chocolate hazelnut, melona and the blueberry cream filled. Let me tell you these donuts are perfect if you dont like anything too sweet. My mom who usually splits one donut over the span of 3-4 days to finish, ate her entire blueberry donut in one sitting without even sharing. They do recommend that you enjoy them asap or to place them in an airtight container so they don't dry out. I did not do so, so my donut dried out (eating a dry but delicious day old donut as i write this). All in all my experience was amazing and I will definitely be coming back to try that guava donut if its there!!! I also recommend checking out and exploring their website. They have a gallery of the donuts they've created and case studies of how they come up with their flavors!

ChaChaCha offers unique drinks with their iconic puff cream topping on any of their milk teas, hojicha, matcha, einspanners (original - with vanilla or hazelnut flavor), and even croffles! Love the diverse menu. I usually get my puff cream milk tea with boba from here and it never disappoints. Creamy and the tea flavor still pulls through. Their boba is also pretty solid without it being overly sweet and relatively soft / chewy. However, I got their double matcha and original vanilla einspanner. Their double matcha had a mild umami flavor and wasn't very sweet. Def more for people who are into matcha for the profile than the sweetness. Loved that matcha foam though. Their einspanner was fireeee. Slightly strong coffee flavor and I enjoyed how the milk foam topping didn't overpower the drink. Would order this again!

A quick update…read more We've come here more often now that we end up defaulting here after our Mission Peak Hikes just as it's been convenient with the food options. This time around, we did think about going to the new spot just around the corner but the line was long so we decided Shuyi it is! I got the Peach mochi oolong tea - no added sugar, no ice. This was delicious and refreshing. Mochi topping is gooey and still feels snot-like to me. Peach is strong and oolong great. The lids on the drink were kind of flimsy. Unfortunately as I was trying to get my drink into the container and into my bag, I lightly squeezed the container and the lid popped off and the drink spilled all over my bag. *Sigh* Oh well. But it wasn't too much lost still be careful with strong holding the drink as the lids pop off. I wish they sealed their drinks which I feel like they did before. Generally we end up leaving after ordering. Seating is offered and shared by the other restaurants there. It's definitely a cafeteria/food court like vibe. We'll likely be back as usual but it was a nice little change in terms of which drink I got and I would definitely get it again...maybe not with mochi.

Of course husband last minute says day of birthday celebration that we need a cake. Found Izumi…read moreCakes on Yelp and was bummed at first because the soonest online reservation for a cake would be two days later. Husband called them around 11am and they said they were in the middle of making their strawberry cakes so they could add our order in for a same day pickup at 4pm. Pickup went well and the cake was so cute and it tasted great! Like the Chinese bakery strawberry cream cake with a moist sponge cake; not too sweet, just right. Might sound basic but it was done very well. Would 100% recommend. I don't know prices for cakes nowadays but I didn't feel bad paying about $60 for a cute and tasty cake (6", strawberry cream cake). I wouldn't bank on same day pickups, I might've just been very lucky they were in the middle of making their cakes but it wouldn't hurt to try calling early in the day if you're in a pinch for a solid cake. I'm very thankful for their service!

"Creamy Gelato -- A Hidden Gem (If You Can Find Parking!)"…read more Food (4.5 / 5): Stopped by this spot on a Saturday afternoon -- it wasn't busy at all, but parking can be a bit tricky since the lot is shared with other restaurants and stores. I ordered the Apple Pie and Strawberry Fresca, and both were excellent in their own way. The Strawberry Fresca was super refreshing -- fruity and almost like it's mixed with soda, and still creamy at the same time. A really nice balance that makes it perfect for a warm day. The Apple Pie leans more on the creamy and sweet side. The graham cracker pieces add a unique texture and soak up the gelato's richness really well, making each bite more satisfying and honestly kind of addictive. Service (5 / 5): Service was quick and smooth. Shoutout to the employee Lucial (hopefully I got the name right!) -- super friendly, helpful, and made the experience even better. Ambience / Décor: It's a small café-style shop with a few tables inside if you want to sit and enjoy your dessert. We ended up taking ours to-go and enjoyed it in the car, but the space itself felt clean and cozy. Overall: Great gelato, plenty of flavors, and friendly service make this place worth a visit. Parking might take a minute, but once you get your hands on the gelato, it's totally worth it. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors.

The pistachio is one of my favorites, it's rich and perfectly balanced. They once had a ginger flavor that was incredible, and the limoncello mixed with honey lavender is such a beautiful combination. The pumpkin pie flavor was amazing when it was available, and the banana walnut with chocolate crunch is another standout. They also have fan wafers, which are really good and pair perfectly with the gelato. Everything always tastes fresh and high quality, and the shop itself is always clean. The owner who works there is consistently polite, helpful, and informative. She's very sweet and always friendly to my daughter, which I really appreciate. My daughter especially loves the ube flavor, though honestly she enjoys just about everything there too. I've heard some people complain about the prices, but in my opinion it's absolutely worth it. This is quality gelato, made well, and you can taste the difference. They also have reserved parking right outside and a little bench where you can sit and enjoy your gelato, whether you eat it inside or outside. This place is a gem, and we'll definitely keep coming back.
