Brunch at Nha Spot was an amazing way to start the morning. The Bún Bò Huế was delicious, rich in flavor, and very comforting. The popcorn chicken was crispy and full of taste, perfect to share. I also tried the iced Vietnamese coffee, wow, like a dynamite. It was refreshing, strong, and absolutely great. On top of that, I ordered the beef with fries, and it was out of this world, so flavorful and well cooked. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for brunch. I've been on the hunt for the best beef stew pho in San Jose since moving here from Sacramento and I'd give the beef stew here a 7/10. I feel like it could have been really elevated if there was less tomato paste with a lighter broth so that the noodles could float. I also got French bread on the side to dip in my broth which was good but just a little too hard. I also got the salted Vietnamese coffee which was really good but a little pricey. They take cash or card, but if you choose card there is a 4% charge. The outside is a little sketch but inside is lively with sports channels playing. From the outside, the restaurant looks close as it is boarded up and appears to have no lights. But as soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a large projector on the right side of the wall and a bunch of tables and booths facing it. The girls are super nice! They gave my friend chocolate when she was having a really bad day. The food was surprisingly good. Excellent food! My go to dish is the shaking beef and the calamari. Service is excellent as well. The waitresses are very friendly and always stop by and ask if I need anything. My free ice tea is always refilled promptly. They even remembered all of our names from the last time we were there. That was most impressive! Good job ladies. Sundays gets packed due to the NFL games being played on multiple screens. Get there early if you wanna get a good view of the team you're following. Great atmosphere and good vibe here. The best cafe sua da I've tasted ever from coffee shops, or should I say just in general. The tea actually tastes like legit tea and not watered down like the rest of the coffee shops. The girls are very nice and always asking if I need anything. The owner is cool as hell and I had a convo with him last week. Oh, and there's AC I'm there so I'm cool as fok lol. You'll be able to see a screen pretty much anywhere you sit. I got com bo luc lac aka Vietnamese shakin' beef. Meet was tender per usual. This place seems to use a lot of minced garlic in their recipe--which is great because I'm a garlic junkie. The plate also came with a small side of chicken stock with scallions, which was a bonus! Makes it more of a complete Vietnamese meal because we usually always have some sort of soup to complement our meals. I wish more places included that. I also got a coconut grass jelly drink. It was loaded with tons of grass jelly and other juicy chewables. 10/10 And of course, this is a Vietnamese coffee shop. You get served by very attractive waitresses. They're not almost naked like other places, but still show plenty of skin. Service for sure stood out as they were very attentive. I noticed they shot the shit a lot with (presumably) the regulars. Another bonus about the place was that the smell of smoke/cigarettes didn't permeate the shop. Usually smoking at other spots make it somewhat nauseating, but here actually felt good to breathe lol. First time coming here, on a Saturday afternoon on Lunar/Chinese/Vietnamese New Years! There was so much going on! We ordered some iced coffee, combination banh mi, chicken wings, and garlic fries! Iced coffee was bomb! Nice and strong just how I like it! Banh mi was DELICIOUS!! The bread was nicely toasted and perfect amount of pickled veggies, meat, cilantro, and jalapeño! My boy friend brought me here haha. I notice I was the only girl when we came inside. Most of the customers are matured men or Middle Aged gentlemen I should say. The servers are young like on their early 20's. They have 8-10 tv screen inside. Each corner has one. We ordered banh mi, garlic fries. The food is tasty. I didn't pay attention much on the girls but they're look fine to me. I just wanted my bf to be happy and seeing the highlights of this coffee shop. The girls are also friendly. They only have 1 restroom, oh actually not sure if they have 1 more on the back. Restroom is shared my men & women which I didn't like. Restroom is dirty. A typical VNcafe setup and it gets higher marks for being well-ventilated (it helps that no one was smoking), and having a small patio. The seating layout is rectangular. There were many TV channels showing at the same time, as opposed to only a few, and the background music was between V-pop and rap/hip-hop, with some EDM. The front windows are tinted which seemed odd at first but everything is cool. However, the tint made the inside dim and will take a time for your eyes to adjust. First off I have never been to a Vietnamese Coffee House... I have to give credit to Annie who works here. She saw it on my face, but she made the experience perfect. I put my order choices in her hands and she delivered perfectly. Went back the next day to have more. I really liked how authentic it felt. Hard to explain but it wouldn't have been the same if Annie wasn't so accommodating. She even gave me suggestions of other restaurants to try while I was in town. So not the case here. As with all Vietnamese coffee shops, built mostly for the enjoyment of men, your juices & smoothies are served by PYTs showing a whole lotta leg & wearing very little elsewhere. I suspect if you're here, you know exactly what you're getting yourself into. Who's here? Groups of guys playing lotto, watching the game on one of their 20+ flat screens, shootin the shit with other guys. We ordered a limeade and an orange juice smoothie mixed with condensed milk; both delicious & sweet, 4 stars for the drinks. I usually come in to watch the Warriors games, but what's also cool is that they have alot of TV's, so they'll also put other games that are going on at the same time. They got a decent selection of bottled beer to choose from. They also have a food menu. Though I've only had food here once (and it wasnt a good experience), I'm willing to give it another chance because friends have eaten here and haven't had any issues. The place is also nice and clean. And unlike other viet coffee shops, they dont let people smoke inside. Instead people go outside the front or the back to smoke (me being a non-smoker, i appreciate that). The waitresses here have also been welcoming and friendly. Another thing I like about this place is the music they play in the background. It's not too loud and the volume is just right so you can talk your buddies or the waitresses without having to raise your voice. I'm considering adding this place to my rotation of places for watching sports. read more

Just a heads-up. We ordered a few dishes to go for a dinner party. My wife went to pick up the food - she was the only female patron in the whole establishment. Had we known that the dishes were more snack-sized portions than full-meal portions, we would have ordered more. As it was, the rice dishes came with a small half-bowl of rice and small portion of the main dish. The curry chicken was more like curry chicken bones. The beef soup came with one large (and tough) piece of beef for each bowl, instead of smaller pieces, so makes it hard to share each bowl. The one noodle bowl we ordered didn't come with noodles - instead we were given a bunch of hard plastic strips. They looked like noodles, but were really hard and crunchy - no, crunchy isn't the right word. It was just hard. And tough. Hard and tough, like life seems to be if you're one of the poor young ladies that have to work at this establishment as one of the scantily-clad waitresses. Pharamones aside, I don't know what it is, but the sauce they put in their banh mi is awesome. The girls here do show a lot of skin but I thought I was more exposed then some of them!
