After my friends and I order and got our drink, my friend ended up not liking his drink. So we asked if it was ok to replace it and if not, we don't mind paying for a new one. The worker was sweet about it and allow us to pick another drink to replace it. So we really appreciate that and he ended up loving the new drink he got replaced! :)) Drinks: 1. Pandan milk tea (4/5): The flavor was really good and we could get it in away but a a little less sweeter. I'm surprised it didn't rank higher on the most popular menu! 2. Chocolate Oreo mochi (5/5): We did the combo and got a mochi along side the drink. You can't go wrong with it, and of course it would be messy since the crumple topping. :D 3. Ube Milk With Drinkable Mochi Topping (1/5): We are not sure what's happened or that's how it is. For me and my friends, it tastes really water down despite us mixing it. My boyfriend said it didn't taste like anything and there's a lack of flavor, so we probably wont get this again. 4. This review is only for the mochi donuts, as I didn't get a drink or sandwich. As there are many mochi flavors and they looked delicious, I got an assorted of the mochi donuts. It is soft and flavorful. Out of all of them, my favorite would be the black sesame. What a lovely treat! I didn't get a drink or sandwich this time around but perhaps next time. Our family of 4 stopped in yesterday morning and ordered the Strawberry Butterfly Pea Lemonade, Easter Bunny(lychee) Mochi Donuts and Taiwanese Sandwiches. Kids loved the drink! As we're now expanding the territory to pick up bobas on my way home from Downtown San Jose, I decided to see what other spots are around and Mochiholic popped up. I've had Mochiholic up in Pleasanton area before so it wasn't new to me, but this one was. L O C A T I O N Mochiholic is located just east of 680 on Landess in a shopping center area with a grocery store and other restaurants, etc. The parking is large but can get pretty impacted depending on when you come. I parked not too far and walked right in. I N S I D E It was bright and cozy with some nice seating on both sides of the place. There was a kiosk to order as well as ordering at the cashier area. M E N U They have your standard drinks as well as mochi donuts and they do have some deals that pair drinks and mochi donuts. I didn't explore too much of the menu but apparently they have sandwiches here. Since it was my first time at this location, I stuck to looking at the milk teas. They do have matcha, coffee and other fun seasonal drinks. I went with their signature (black) milk tea with grass jelly. Overall, the drink was ok. A bit more on the milkier side for my taste. S E R V I C E The service was exceptional. The guy there was helping some older ladies who came in to order drinks. He was very patient with them answering their questions. He was quite sweet! I ordered through the kiosk and easily paid by card. My drinks came out fairly quickly and he did say he could help adjust the drink if it wasn't to my liking. Stopped by after grocery shopping with my mom to pick up some snacks for the family. They offered a nice menu of different mochi donut flavors as well as boba. We got strawberry, matcha, cookies and cream and ube donuts. The only reason I give 4 stars today is because I requested the ube donuts with no toppings (options were fruity pebbles or coconut flakes) and I didn't realize until I got home that they missed the note on the order to leave them plain. All the while, all flavors were great. None of the donuts were overly sweet. My favorite was matcha. It was perfect and not at all bitter, like some other places I've tried. I've had Mochiholic before in Fremont and while I enjoyed eating there, I didn't have the same experience here. Not sure if it was just a bad night but honesty waaaay too sweet, it was ridiculously sweet for my sweet tooth. I came here on a weekday craving mochi and just wanted to try different flavors. I bought a box and took it home. No one could finish one we took a small piece and was mortified with the amount of sugar it had. Came by to pick up my glasses and noticed this spot having a soft opening -- and since we love mochi donuts, we had to give it a try! The workers were super friendly and welcoming. They encouraged us to try all the samples and even offered to bring out flavors that weren't already on the tray, which was such a nice touch. We ended up ordering the Matcha and Black Sesame donuts, and they had a combo deal that came with a boba drink. We went with the Crema Brown Sugar Milk with boba, and wow -- it was SO good! Honestly, just as good as our favorite boba spot (Feng Cha), and even closer to home. The donuts were chewy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the drink. I'm assuming this place is still getting that feet wet. My experience there wasn't the best, but it will probably get better with time. I like the interior. The loveseats are very cozy. First off, the self-serve kiosk is right where people line up so if there is a long line, you might have to squeeze your way through to get to it. They had a specific deal at the time which was a special price for six mochi donuts and two drinks. That deal only gives you a few options for drinks which was disappointing. I ultimately ended up ordering my drinks and donuts separately but with a ten percent discount. The donuts - very good. I liked how crispy it was on the outside and very soft on the inside. The drinks - I ordered the lychee fruit tea and mango fruit tea without crema for both. The only problem I had was that the person who prepared the mango one did not put mango flavoring in it. It tasted like straight up tea. We were already in the car on our way home so we just let it go, but that was disappointing. Side note - I noticed that after I paid that there was this operating fee at the bottom of the receipt. I'm not sure exactly what it's for since I order from a person. Tastea and the other places I frequent don't have a charge like that. read more

It's hard to believe that a grand opening place can get so many 5 stars from fellow Yelpers, so I decided to check it out; and I was convinced after the visit. The closest Mochiholic is in Pleasanton, so there's definitely demand in the area of the populated Milpitas. The store front is bigger than I thought and it's a good sign to see it having some strong presence. Parking is easy in the plaza. The interior is big and comfy with just the right amount of decorations. You can order via the screens and the staff members are welcoming and in high spirits. I ordered a box of a dozen for the office to share, which you can choose different flavors. With a dozen, I can choose all 6 of their flavors. Ube coconut flakes costed extra but it's so worthy as the coconut flakes brought in extra flavor. Black sesame is another of my favorite as it has the real black sesame that adds the extra toasty aroma. The team seems to like the chocolate ones the most as they are covered with a thick layer of finely chopped chocolate. I wasn't paying attention to this but I was told that the donuts were still warm when I brought them in the office, which made them taste extra soft and fresh. Samantha is the store owner and she is super friendly. As I was waiting for my order, she greeted me and opened up the chatterbox. One thing I like about it is that she plans to bring in warm drinks to the menu. She also mentioned that once she had a taste of the mochi donuts, she couldn't go back to the regular donuts. The fact that a mochi donut carries half the calories of a regular donut also carries a lot of convincing weight. I also like the fact that they have savory sandwiches, which makes it a perfect spot for afternoon hang out. Samantha said that customers also requested them to open up early so they could buy their sandwich for breakfast, so looks like demand is super strong. Came here on a Sunday just two days after soft opening. I was greeted kindly and I think the owner explained to me how the line worked, which was a single line where the next person would go to whatever station (kiosk or cashier register) to order. There was someone by the kiosk to explain how it works. I was one of the first 50 customers so I got 15% off my entire order. They have bundles, and I got the 1 drink 2 donut bundle in addition to a stand alone drink. The donut was very fresh. It was warm and a little more airy than other mochi donuts I have. The creme on top was very good. The drinks were good as well. I thought the creme brulee didn't have the typical custard flavor like other places have, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There's lots of ways to adjust the drink which is good, and the boba comes out warm. read more

One was less sweet brown sugar, and the other was less sweet mango matcha. The mochi donuts were delicious, but the boba wasn't so good. My cousin's brown sugar boba looked like milk. The brown sugar wasn't on the sides, like most boba shops do, and all the brown sugar was at the bottom. Even when you stirred it, it still looked white. I know it's less sugar, but not to the point where it tastes like straight-up milk. For me, I got the mango matcha with less sugar. There was no mango at all--just a tiny bit at the bottom. Plus, when they gave it to me, the matcha was stirred together, not in three layers where you can see the milk. I took a sip, and it tasted a bit like matcha but mostly like milk. It's kinda sad. I didn't taste the mango. They said they used real fruit based on the kiosk, but I'm like, where? The mango in my drink is nowhere to be found. Sorry, but I don't think I will come back here again. I got the wintermelon lemon tea and that lacked flavor. The actual drink itself doesn't look like their display or looked like it even had wintermelon. The black sesame coffee was also watered down. My son wanted to try this new place at Seafood City and since it was warm, I said why not. The place is bright and inviting. They have two self service screens but the other one is small and at the counter, so it's not intuitive that you can order there. Maybe a small sign will help? Since my daughter was still on winter break, I decided to take her shopping. On our last stop, I asked her if she wanted boba and she said yes. Since we've never tried this place before and we were close by, we decided to drop by to get a few drinks. We got the house special coffee with black sesame crema (half sugar, add boba) and 2 signature boba milk teas (half sugar, light ice). The store wasn't busy but our drinks did take a while to be made. When they finally called us to pick up our drinks, the employee realized that she forgot to add boba to my coffee and literally just opened the lid and poured some boba into the cup. As for taste, I didn't like that my coffee wasn't mixed. The drink was basically layered (espresso on top, then black sesame crema and then milk). As I was sipping the coffee, all I tasted was milk. After a few sips, I thought the drink tasted weird so I decided to open the lid so that I could mix the other layers into the milk. After the layers were mixed together, I could definitely taste the strong bitterness of the coffee with a hint of black sesame. No comment on the milk tea since I didn't get to try it.
