Five out of six people craved for a sweet edible treat after 12:15 p.m. Cold and inclement weather didn't stop us. This establishment was three-fourths full with patrons enjoying a milky swirl or milky cup. Available in two sizes - mini or regular. Choice of milky swirl which is soft serve mixed with your choice of cereal or milky cup similar to milkshake consistency. My CIL wanted coffee drizzle for the milky swirl; however, worker informed her they're out of that flavor. Instead, my CIL opted for chocolate drizzle. I inquired with worker which flavors were available for milky swirl. I was surprised there were only two flavors available - vanilla and strawberry. I didn't want my dessert to be too sweet so I chose vanilla. I initially wanted to order A Perfect Matcha without bananas. Unfortunately, the worker informed me they're out of matcha. Majority of the cereals offered on that day contained chocolate which my body shuns these days. I decided to come up with my own concoction of regular size Vanilla Milky Swirl ice cream with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Teddy Grahams and Liliko'i Drizzle. I adored the creativity - five pieces of teddy grahams tucked in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch soft serve. Liliko'i flavor of the drizzle complemented this dessert. Enjoyed every spoonful. Help yourself to a free complimentary cup of water. Thank you for offering this to customers. I would love to return, see more variety in milky swirl flavors, try their matcha and/or ube milky swirl with non-chocolate toppings and drizzle.
Such an interesting concept for a soft serve. If you like cereal and ice cream, you'll love this place. There are so many different types of cereals you can choose from to mix in. It gives it a crunchy texture also. There are also a lot of options for toppings. The people were really great and patient with us in choosing since it was our first time. It was also very spacious and clean. Fun place to try out!

The ice cream has surprisingly good concept of fresh ground cereal into the ice cream based on the toppings or preset options they have. The machine they use allows every bite to have a crunch of cereal or topping. Great choice and open late for after dinner time.
11/5/23 a Sunday. At about 2:35pm I had gotten a gift card I'm not gonna say how I got it, and I will not say who gave it to me, but I did have a very good amount on this card so I decided to take one friend with me out to this place and it was my first time. Seeing it was my first time for me and my friend. I decided to sit for a bit and kind of look over the menu. There are a good valuable amount of choices on the menu. It was truly a hard thing to choose. Between the swirl or the cup. I did get a great sample from the workers. I asked about the Thai Tea flavor. And they gave a great sample.. I can actually compare that experience of getting a sample from this place to when I got a sample from the Cook behind the counter at Katz deli in New York City. That experience can be compared to this. The sample I got from these workers is terrific. It was over the moon. I was shocked that they gave me a size that was at least 3 ounces in a cup. That was great. I even had to ask for another spoon because I wanted my friend to taste it. That's how much of the sample they gave me. Fantastic on the hospitable service in samples. The location is prime spot I felt- easy to find and they have a corner location on the ground level of Ka Makani Ali'i. The place inside is spacious- it's clean and very comfortable. The staff was very gracious. Even if there was a generous giving of samples I think there was a feeling of slight disappointment cause they ran out of Ube flavor ice cream. They didn't have Mochi balls, and they ran out of Macadamia nuts. So for my "regular" sized cup I got Capt Crunch (pB) cereal, fruit loop cereal. Toppings: Strawberries with Condensed milk drizzle. And my friend did the shake (regular sized) with Mac nut ice cream. "Oh's cereal" and honey drizzle. Everything was great and then my friend and I noticed that everyone else after us got their ice creams made Very pretty.. the realization was that they ordered a named made entrée that had all the fixings in it. It was one of the menu specials and not with one's own choosing of toppings or drizzle like what my friend and I got. Would've been nice to know that I had of time before ordering. I would've picked one from the menu instead of create my own. Otherwise everything was great. I still have a few more dollars on the card that I got as a gift and maybe I'll use it in the future I'm in no hurry to get there again but I know where it is this time so maybe y'all follow up in a couple of months and write another review.
Cute shop located inside of Kamakana Ali'i. The color scheme/branding are nice and cohesive to a dessert shop. The names of their products are also cute and catchy, love a good pun. As for the visit, it seemed like there were so many workers (4) but none of them really helpful at the same time, if that makes sense. We were briefly greeted as we walked in through the door. There was one family before us and one more family that came in after us. It was our first time there, so a little overwhelming as to what was going on. The cashier briefly explained what was going on and how to order but we felt very rushed. So we got back out of line to see how it all went down. Finally, when we were ready, we ordered A Batch Made in Heaven (chocolate) and a Feelin' Frooty (fruity). It took a good ten minutes or so to get our order. Both items were yummy to start and then it just ended up being bland at the end. It was a bit pricy too, for about $10 per cup. I'm not sure if I would drive all the way out here for this again, but it was worth a first try.
The place has lots of space for seating with friends and it's a fun, streamlined ice-cream parlor aesthetic. I always have an appreciation for puns so I do enjoy the colorful names of the creations they have. They have popular combination choices but you can also custom-create your own flavors. I'm a big chocolate and cookies n' cream-type of fan so I decided to go for the 'Batch Made in Heaven', which essentially caters to the cookie lovers, consisting of cookie crisp cereal, oreos, and chocolate drizzle. It hits all the right spots for that craving of sweet and creamy, with a nice texture combination of the soft serve and the crunchiness of the cookies. The downside is that it can be overwhelmingly sweet and rich after several bites, so I'd recommend sharing with a partner. I imagine 10-year old me would love to come here every day so it's a great place for the family to bring their kids after the movies, a hot day, or dinner at one of the restaurants nearby.

Cereal lovers dream. Milky Cereal Bar is located at the new shopping mall - Ka Makana Ali'i in Kapolei, a 30 minute drive from the city. It has the makings of Christina Tosi's Milk Bar which popularized cereal soft serve. The difference is the ice cream base. Tosi uses corn flakes infused milk so the ice cream itself already tastes like it. Milky Cereal Bar on the other hand uses this badass machine, and with one hard pull on the lever, it combines and squeezes out the freshly scooped ice cream and cereal of your choice. The combination is up to you. The product cohesively comes out of the machine with the cereal crushed into tiny pieces yet still retains its crunch. I still like Tosi's soft serve better in terms of flavor but Milky gives a whole lot of combination options outside the usual cornflakes and milk combo.
Located in Ka Makana Ali'i in the corner by HI Finest. Cute store front, and once you enter, there's all the toppings to choose from on display. The menu is posted big enough for all to see, and the ladies greet you right as you enter. Great customer service! We had like 4 kids with us, and each one of them got to choose their type of Milky dessert and cereal, so of course it did take some time for them to make their decision. The ladies were super patient and kind. I checked in on Yelp, and was able to use a 5% discount, so make sure you do that. We got our Milky desserts super quick. Everything we got was kid and adult approved! The Milky wasn't too cereal-y where it overpowered the vanilla iced cream. It was just the right amount of cereal flavor. I got the Captain Crunch milky cup with banana and blueberries. It was soooo yummy! We ended up grabbing covers, which was perfect to take on the road - super convenient! We will most def come back here when we're on this side, as we all loved it here!
I've seen this place a few times but always walked by wondering why people go eat cereal, then I went on Yelp to realize it wasn't a place selling bowls of cereal!! It's like a milkshake with cereal and other toppings and syrups on top. Friendly staff and a decent amount of options to make up your own concoction or they have fan favorites to choose from. There is a small seating area inside and you can always sit outside in the walkway. Note: there is a set of doors to enter and one to exit.
We stopped by after dinner to get dessert and then stroll around the mall and I'm so glad we did. It is super cute on the inside! They have fun Neon Signs with cute quotes and a mirror that has a quote to hype you up. We saw lots of teens taking selfies in the mirror with their friends and the atmosphere was just so lively and fun. Service was okay, I think the girl was tired of working and she seemed to be alone. She wasn't very talkative and just kind of dead faced you, but she got the ice cream done nice and fast so I guess you can't really complain. As far as the ice cream goes it was pretty good. The kid in me who loved cereal growing up would be sad to know that I'm not much of a fan of cereal anymore but it was nostalgic and fun. The cereal wasn't stale so that was a huge plus. Overall I probably wouldn't come here again but it was fun and I'd recommend it to other people, especially if you're a cereal lover.
Nice, clean location with plenty of seating to enjoy your dessert inside (with some mall seating outdoors if you don't want to freeze while eating your sweet treat)! I like the concept of cereal ice cream! It's like every kids dream. I got the lucky charm cereal ice cream with Mac nuts and marshmallow drizzle. I enjoyed my combo. I do wish there was more ice cream in my ice cream or if they could do lucky charms cereal with more marshmallows. My folks got the Reese's puff ice cream with strawberries and a chocolate drizzle. That was awesome! The portion size is ginormous, even for a mini. 2 people could easily share it. Lots of space in the shop and friendly staff. read more
We walked by and spotted this place. It's an ice cream store that blends ice cream with cereal. It's like KITH in Waikiki. This is the second place that I know of on Oahu that does this. We got the Kravin' You Milky Swirl $7.50 for a mini. The Kravin' You contains Krave & Cocoa Pebbles mixed with bananas and topped with chocolate drizzle and Cocoa Pebbles. It was good. At first, I couldn't taste the bananas. After eating the top of the swirl, the banana ice cream was a separate swirl on the bottom. It was definitely milky and not too sweet. read more

The ice cream here is cute and they offer a lot of toppings. I was surprised they had banana ice cream as it's not really common. It was really good! Worth a try but I'm not sure if I would come back. Maybe I'll try the milkshake version next time. read more

We frequent Kamas weekly but have never stopped at this shop, assuming it was soft serve with cereal toppings. Needing a cold treat, we decided to check things out and were pleasantly surprised at what Milky Cereal Bar actually is! We opted for the premade recipes and watched as the knowledgeable and sweet counter help pulled them together by COMBINING the soft serve and ingredients (mine was fresh strawberries and blueberries with captain crunch) into a whole new soft serve in a very impressive "blender" of sorts. Then this new and fruity soft serve was topped with fruity pebbles and lilikoi syrup. So incredibly yummy! And reasonable, given what prices are these days. Now that we understand what Milky's offers, we will be back to try some of our own creations. read more
Wow this is a super fun place for dessert. I would have overlooked it based on the name... but the layout of the store was cute enough for me to walk in. The menu was pretty straightforward - either order a cup or a drink. Then you pick your cereal to blend into the flavor and toppings. I think a similar concept to this would be Thrills Ice Cream near Ala Moana. Similar, but not exact. But I hope that helps give you an idea. The combination I ordered was a mini cup with fruity pebbles, teddy grahams and honey drizzle. I stick to the basics because I wanted a safe choice (not too sweet and flavors that complimented each other). I got my order and it was so cute! I love how the staff put the teddy grahams in straight and staggered. It definitely shows much work the staff put into the creations. The cute bears also make the photo pop. Flavor wise - the combination that I had was super delicious. The flavors complimented each other well and it was easy to share the mini cup after eating dinner. I had a lot of fun trying this place and hope to come back again. read more

Walked past this place after dinner a few weeks ago and decided to try here when we came back for dinner next time. Located inside ka makana alii, there is plenty of parking available all around. We came right before the rush happened so we ordered pretty quickly. We decided to go for the make your own option. Menu is pretty straight forward. We chose fruity pebbles cereal, strawberries for our topping and added blueberries, and drizzled with marshmallow. The cereal was blended into the milk ice cream, but was already melting when we got it. The center wasn't fully mixed with the cereal so our last bite was mainly milk ice cream. Even though the strawberries were good, they only gave 3 slices. The blueberries were a better topping since they gave way more. The marshmallow drizzle was light and we barely tasted it with the strong flavor of the cereal. Surprisingly, it wasn't super sweet. The server who took my order was nice and patient. However, the server who brought out our ice cream was rushy. She plopped the ice cream on the table without saying a word. She also clearly didn't wash or clean her gloves/hands prior. The sides of the cup was covered in sticky strawberry drizzle that we didn't ask for. Clearly it was from a different order and she just never cleaned her hands or bothered to wipe down the cup. This sort of ruined the experience for me since it was gross touching the cup and made our hands sticky. Would I come back? Possibly, but definitely would wait a bit before coming back here to see if service changes. read more

Cute, hip spot in Kamakana Ali'i that serves cereal themed ice cream treats. The inside is spacious and can definitely fit more seating. The decor is vibrant and bright. Staff are friendly and efficient. There were 3 workers behind the counter and the line was never ending still our treats came out fairly quickly. I think the price of the Milky cup is a little on the high side and feel the swirl is a better value, but that's just my opinion. I enjoyed tasting all the treats my family and I ordered but my choice was my favorite of the bunch. I chose a mini Milky swirl called apple of my pie. For a small it was pretty big. I will most definitely be back to try other flavors of this sweet refreshing treat when I am in the area. read more
Milky cereal bar!! This place is amazing!! We came across this hidden gem the other day and glad we did. There's a lot of options on the menu which could be a little overwhelming, just take your time looking. If you have questions then ask the employees are really helpful. We got the fruity pebbles mixed in the ice cream with sprinkles and the lucky charms mixed in ice cream with marshmallows. Both my kids ate it real quick. Located in kamakana Alii mall by h and m. So glad I got to finally try Milky! It's located in Kamakana Alii in the old Godiva spot. There's lots of parking since it's in the mall and it's the perfect dessert place. This place's ice cream reminds me a bit of KITH, but at Milky, you have a lot more options available. You can choose from one of the signature combos or make your own dessert. There's the choice between milkshakes or the swirl cup and they have different sizes available. There are also non-dairy based options available on their menu. I tried their Apple pie signature combo and loved it. The staff there is also super friendly and can help with making recommendations for choices. Can't wait to go back! read more

3-23-22 First time for 2 of the 3 of us. We will definitely be back. I was going to pass and be good but ...my don't miss out, you must try something mentality won. Little sweetie mentioned this place before we got in the car to head to Ka Makana Alii. I can honestly say it was the BEST milky dessert of all time. I was thinking of Matcha but they were out. I then said Hot Cocoa for my order and he said it's hot but he could make it into a swirl, yay! Mine looked like chocolate but the first spoonful I caught a hint of cinnamon. Every spoon had a crunch but it was invisible to the eye. The employee had placed mini marshmallows around the edge. Believe me, it was REALlY good! Little Sweetie and hubs finished theirs before me. Dessert before lunch? Why not. I told hubs, I'm having salad for dinner. read more
What a cleaver idea! Saw this place at Kamakana Ali'i and had to try it. Easy to read menu with step by step instructions. Many many cereal and topping options to be had. Any ice cream and cereal lover will be so happy! Just kept it simple. I had a small with Cinnamon Toast Crunch! Fresh strawberries and a honey drizzle! When they called me I was so excited. First bite the ice cream had bits of Cinnamon Toast Crunch swirled and mixed within the ice cream. It's actually pretty interesting to see them make it. They put it all in this machine and it mixes it and it come out like a soft serve but firmer. Not to sweet with a bit of freshness with the fruit and that honey drizzle just took it over the top. Was craving something sweet after a fun dinner with old coworkers and looked up some places in Kapolei that would be fun for them. We went to Milky Cereal Bar in Ka Makana Ali'i sort of late. There was only one party in the store and no line when we arrived. After ordering we sat down at one of the tables and noticed the surface wasn't cleaned and had some melted ice cream and toppings on it. No worries, we'll just wipe up what we could. We weren't planning on staying too long anyway. Overall the ice cream was good but nothing worth writing home. I wanted the matcha recommended product but the cashier graciously let me know that it was more of a smoothie than soft serve so asked me if I'd like to make my own creation. Very polite. Only one of their machines seemed to be working? And they had one of the servers cranking it up! Must be a good arm workout for her as groups of patrons filed in shortly after she completed our order! read more

Located in Ka Makana Ali'i - I initially went to Milky Cereal Bar during their Soft Opening a few months ago. They offer soft serve ice cream and smoothies, which can be custom made or from their pre-selected menu board. Two sizes are available: regular and mini. They can be served in a cup or as a swirl. Got a mini We're A Perfect Matcha cup at $8.50. It has matcha, almond milk, coconut milk, and bananas; all topped with coconut flakes. Good, refreshing...though I wished the matcha was a more prominent flavor. Utlilized a 5% off Yelp app coupon. Plenty of parking in the Ka Makana Ali'i lot. read more

First time trying this place. No one else was in this establishment when we went in. Service Was super friendly and helpful. Milky Cup (cinnamon Toast Crunch) Good flavor Ice cream whipped was thick It's what you would expect But the price of $9 is just not worth it. I would go back if it was $7. read more
This was a wonderful first experience but the store & staff definitely lacked a little seasoning ~ As first timers, No greeting, no good intro into the menu as we were new. The interaction with the cashier was very minimal and I could barely hear her. The staff looked messy & there only 3 tables to sit on in which a spacious location. Milky replaced Godiva in Kamakana Alii ~ near Zales The Ambiance looked cute & such a great photo Op. Definitely will be back a 2nd time around to try out the rest of the menu. read more
Happy to note that this is one of the better Ice cream places on the West end of the island. Upon walking in conveniently after a day of shopping within Kama Kana Alii Mall lies this sweet treat! You can choose between swirl or ordering the cup version. The service is pleasant and quick with cute little decor within it and tables and chairs are provided so it's a great place to come with a friend as you enjoy the ice cream. The flavors here are quite unique and pictured is the "Batch made in Heaven" which was very enjoyable! read more

Love that Milky opened a second location on Oahu!! There's places like this on the mainland, but no others in Hawaii. I always go for the milky cup, makes the best soft serve ice cream with any cereal flavor you can imagine. My go to is vanilla ice cream with cinnamon toast crunch with strawberry and a coffee drizzle. Fresh fruit always cuts the sweetness. For Valentine's we tried the special and it was delicious with it's strawberry ice cream and sprinkle texture. Can't wait to try something new again! And the spot is so photogenic read more

We went here after getting a perfect score on my driving permit test! lol It was a little hard to find, maybe because when we were looking for it we were still in the car. We were so excited when we finally found it! It was a little busy, you have two options a Milky Cup (like a milkshake) or a Milky Swirl (a soft serve). My SIL got Pretty in Pink milky cup version and I got the Batch Made in Heaven milky swirl version. My SIL let me try hers and I'm not really fan of fruity desserts, it was still delicious, though. As for my Batch Made in Heaven, oh my my, it was HEAVENLY! Its got oreo pieces and cookie crisps, and there's also some crunchy stuff mixed in the soft serve, not sure what it is though. But 10/10! Next time I come back, I like try the Beggin for S'more one! And I'll definitely return! I absolutely love the inside, very spacious and I think only two tables. There's a mirror too and some neon writing on the wall. read more
Milky Cereal Bar is one of the newest sweet treat spots at KMA! (Ka Makana Alii Mall) Parking: mall parking is plentiful. I'd park by 24 hour fitness, it's closer. Getting there: from the food court, pretend you are heading to Macy's, it's on the 2nd left corner after the stage. Price: it's not dirt cheap, BUT you are getting a big quality made desserr that is customized. You get what you pay for. I LOVE the idea of all the toppings and sweet combinations to make your own special dessert. I loved the "batch made in heaven". If you LOVE cookie anything, you'll love it too! My daughter tried "whatever floats your boat". It was like a horchata meets cream soda. Overall, I'm glad to see this new addition to KMA! What the whaaaat is exactly I was saying as I discovered this place in Ka Makana Ali'i...gosh no they didn't!!! Right off I'll tell ya it's YUMMY!! I don't know how they do it...you'll actually see them making it right before your eyes and it's respectfully incredible. As they do take a few orders and create them it does take a few minutes of patience that's absolutely worth the wait, so as I was waiting my turn it gave me time to decided the extensive menu and let me tell you it still wasn't enough time lol!! Apple of my Pie my the first one that caught my attention (Apple Jacks & Cinnamon Toast Crunch topped with caramel drizzle, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, whipped cream & Teddy Grahams. Got in a Milky Swirl which is a soft serve in a cup, mini size (mini or regular) and let me tell you having the cereal in the soft serve is super yummy but having the actual toppings as well is literally the cherry on top! The crunch combined with the creamy soft serve was the perfect pair. You could also create your own as well with the option besides Milky Swirl of Milky Cup which is a milkshake version. We also had the "In Love with the Cocoa" which is a hot chocolate made with Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk with hot chocolate topped with marshmallows and crumbled Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal...what!? NEW DESSERT PLACE ALERT Came here on a Saturday, the most busiest times at Ka Makana mall. I was the 3rd person in line. You'd think the line would be easy breezy BUT it is a bit of a wait. Just by looking at the employees make the dessert, you could tell it's a bit time consuming and will even be MORE time consuming if a party orders more than one cup of milky cereal. So be prepared to wait! I ordered a regular milky swirl, cinnamon toast crunch for my choice of cereal, cookie dough as my topping and marshmallow as my drizzle. This combination is literally the most delicious blend ever! I 100% would recommend cinnamon toast crunch for your cereal. As far as the marshmallow, although it was great for my swirl, it had a very light taste. Perhaps next time i would get something else like caramel so there's a stronger drizzle flavor. The only con i would say is their cups are very flimsy and soft feeling. I'm not sure if it's because they just opened and they have to use whatever inventory they have or if in the future they decide to invest in more sturdier and tougher cups but I would be careful if your ice cream sits for too long, the cup may break. Especially the bottom part is very thin, I was just about 5 minutes into eating it and my thumbs we're already denting the cup, so eat quick! read more
I stopped by on a Tuesday morning at 11:45a on 11/23/21 since my friend told me about Milky Cereal Bar. Their Grand Opening was on 11/21/21. Milky Cereal Bar is located where the Godiva shop used to be at in Ka Makana Ali'i. It is on the side of Bath and Body. They have cute cereal toppings to choose from to put in your small cup, (Milky Swirl) or make it a shake and put it in a plastic cup (Milky Cup). This shop is so friendly on the eyes with the beautiful pastel colors. Many people were photographing their ice cream cereal creations throughout the shop and outside as well. The 4 step ordering process is easy. The customer service is friendly. I will definitely be back to have more Milky Cereal and to definitely take more photos. read more
New desert place in Kamakana Alii that has replaced the Godiva location. Staff was very welcoming once we entered. It looked very cute inside with the background looking like an ice cream cone and the neon lights around the room. Very nice place to take pictures of your desert or yourself haha! When ordering you have an option of choosing a milky swirl or milky cup. The difference is the swirl is more of a bowl desert and the cup is like a smoothie. We wanted to try their favorite combinations first before making our own. I went with the "Beggin For S'more" which has chocolate ice cream and s'mores topped with graham crackers and toasted marshmallows. Unfortunately, they only serve that in a milky cup but since it was our first time I gave it a shot. I went with a regular size ($9.50). The other half got the "Kravin You" which is krave and cocoa pebbles with mixed bananas and topped with cocoa pebbles and chocolate drizzle. We got it as a milky swirl in a regular size ($7.50). The ladies were pretty fast in making our desert. It was also a cool process watching them make it in front of you. The beggin for s'mores is pretty satisfying after a long day shopping around the mall. I really liked the marshmallows because of the toasted taste from being torched up. The graham crackers was also a nice touch. I really wish it came in a swirl version but hopefully it will be in the future. The kravin you swirl might be my favorite. You can taste the bananas mixed with the chocolate in every bite! I believe they use Nutella for the chocolate which is definitely my favorite. I really enjoyed their favorite combinations and I can't wait to come again to make my own! With so many different combinations you can make I'm sure you'll be able to make your perfect milky swirl or cup. read more
