Good food and service. Price was good as well. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms.

This place may not be for everybody, but I am strangely attracted to it. It doesn't have my favorite brew (Nanticoke Nectar by RAR), but has a great beer selection and a surprisingly diverse food menu for an ale house. I can't say everything has been spot on...the 'zingers' (chicken strips) were kinda plastic-y and not worth the attention they receive. The two things I'll never try again--the nachos, which were just flat out inedible, and the teriyaki steak bites were so bad that mgmnt agreed and it's already off the menu! Prime rib is excellent, french dip sandwich and french onion soup in the top 1 or 2 in Annapolis. You can't judge a place like this on the same scale as you wd a Michelin restaurant of course, so come in with reasonable expectations. But if you do (and you avoid the nachos), I think you'll enjoy the atmosphere, the libations and, yes, even the food! read more

I have a complaint. We have spent several football sundays watching our favorite teams at Millers. This weekend we watched the Super Bowl. Halfway through the game, our waitress asked if we wouldn't mind closing our tab because she was going home. Sure. We obliged. As soon as she collected our money and tip (on credit card), the manager came over and asked us to leave because we said derogatory comments. We did not say any of that and we didn't have any problems with other guests. We asked the other guests near us and they said they never heard us say any of that. But the manager heard us from the kitchen. We peacefully left but I asked the manager for my receipt so that I can cancel out the tip. He refused to give it back and said you signed it. Too late. We will never go to Millers again. read more

Decided to give the place a try. Had good reviews and I can say we weren't disappointed. The food was very good, the service was great. Nice atmosphere to tie everything together. Wife ordered fish and chips, I had the chicken Parma. Noodles were certainly Italian style - while I prefer them a little more done, they were good. Wife's fish was perfect and we both really liked the fries. It was so Good we ordered some robs to take back for our granddaughter! A great meal at Miller's yesterday. Renee was our server and she was the best. We were going to stay awhile for the lacrosse game and she checked on us periodically as we ate and drank. The restaurant got busy and Renee handled all the tables (one at least a ten top) like a pro, checking in with each and remaining cheerful and helpful. She is the best! The food was great, cheese fries to start and then Garlic Parmesan wings and a Caesar salad after that. We finished with the Pull and Pop donuts with the dipping sauce. These things are so tasty and we could not stop eating them (even though full ). Plenty of TV's to watch the game along with the other sporting events on. Our waiter was one of the best ever (I wish I'd gotten his name) In addition to being attentive-without being obsequious-he was super helpful in letting us try the various sauces (and at the end of the meal, he gave us a wonderful "welcome to Annapolis" gift to-go!) The potstickers rank as one of the best ever, the Osso Bucco was delicious and the blackened salmon was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning (this is where all of those sauces came into play. My ribeye was lukewarm with a glob of un-melting butter with raw garlic in it. The mixed vegetables were swimming in butter sauce with undercooked red onion. My baked potato was cold, asked the server to please warm it up. He said they gave me a new one, which was room temp at best. I gave up on that. Dad's broccoli was cold, dry and old. Server was stretched thin and the kitchen isn't his fault. They really need to work on the quality of food coming out of the kitchen. Saw no oversight or management. Will not go back. read more

Well Christmas Eve eve went in for lunch. Let me just say , Joel is awesome! So unusual that you have a bartender that can actually hold a conversation. I ordered the lunch fish and chips for 799. Those that know me know how important service is to me. Tonight we stayed in Annapolis for dinner after work to avoid sitting in traffic. Latisha, our waitress was super friendly, accommodating and very attentive. The food came out with some problems but the manager jumped right in and not only did he correct issues, he replaced the full plate, brought it out himself and waited to make sure we were satisfied. He also gave us a scratch off to use on a future visit. With all this drama surrounding these food "critics", this was a great reminder that service is just as important as the food. Was so excited to come to Miller's, I've been to another location and didn't realize they were a chain until today. After waiting at the host stand for a few minutes with no host or server in sight, we went to the backside bar (11pm on a Saturday). After looking around for seats at the bar, we saw an open high top table next to the bar and sat ourselves. We weren't sure if it was seat yourselves so my boyfriend went up to the bartender and asked if it was seat yourselves or if we should order through him; the bartender (lightskinned with curly hair/fro) seemed annoyed and told him "No, you're supposed see the host but a server will be around to you." My boyfriend then apologized for seating ourselves but it seemed like the damage was done, the bartender made up his mind that we were a** holes and treated us as such. After waiting a few minutes at the table with still no server to be seen, two bar seats opened up at the bar and we moved to the bar. The bartender begrudgingly came to us a few minutes later without any greeting or menus and asked us what we wanted to drink. We ordered 2 beers and after a few minutes he came back with 2 large beers (at this point we had no idea if there were different sizes, as we didn't have menus). When he dropped off the beers I asked if they had a food menu and he again seemed annoyed and gave us one menu. About 10-15 minutes went by and he had yet to come back to ask us if we wanted to order any food. We decided to ask for the check because the vibes were OFF and we felt so unwelcomed. The check comes and we see that we were charged an additional $5 for the larger beer size, when we were never asked or told there were different sizes. I'm so disappointed, I had such a good experience my previous visit at the other location and was looking forward to another one at the Annapolis location. We just got off from working a long shift and were looking forward to a good meal before calling it a night. One would think someone working for tips would want to give decent customer service and in turn get a higher check. I have worked in the industry for over 15 years and I know what good customer service looks like, this wasn't it. I won't hold this against Miller's but I will not return to this location. read more

The location is nice being directly across the mall, makes for easy access if at or near the Annapolis mall. The building is very clean and spacious, I like the simplicity of the decor. The service was great and very attentive. The best thing was the menu, they had a nice selection of anything you wanted. I had the steak and fried shrimp combination with two sides. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, and it was was very tasty (only 15.99$ too). My girlfriend had the bacon cheese burger with fries, I don't try it but it did look good and nice size as well. She said it was about a 8.5-9 outta 10 for the burger. If you are in the mood for any restaurants like Outback, Ruby Tuesdays, Applebees, etc.. I would highly recommend Millers Ale House first. Will 100% be back. read more

We became fans of Millers in northern Virginia and were so excited that one opened in Annapolis. we have not been disappointed. We visit at least once a week and have always had great food and excellent service especially from Joel Smith and Dom the bartenders. Do yourself a favor and stay away!!!! Don't believe any of the good reviews. I am sorry, there is nothing about them that is true. It's such a shame this place has potential to be a cool space to come and watch games. With a cool open air covered bar with roll up doors. Again has fallen into the hands of bad management and staff like many of the area restaurants. It almost like the employees just move from one to the other after the other one closes. This place won't make it. The kitchen staff should be embarrassed and I hope that any employer that sees any employee use this place as a reference just stop and not even hire that person. I have eaten at some terrible places before usually centered around customer service and bland food. But this was just pure outright not caring by anyone in the kitchen staff and waiters. Not to even mention the manager must not eat the food or had never even eaten at another restaurant until their life. Terrible food, cheese fries even on the second try were dead, with no flavor. Like another reviewer stated my wife said that them home and can reheat them(yes French fries ) and make them better. That's how bad they are. We picked at them because we were hungry but after there's handfuls all the cheese was already gone. The kids burger came out and the bun was harder than a rock and the color of it looked more like a turkey burger. Yet again the order was wrong and came with terrible fires instead of the fruit. It was so bad my child cried and refused to eat it. Even asking if we could just leave and go someplace else. The restaurant was more than half empty and we were informed upon entry on a Sunday game day with the local team playing that they only had seats out side. Less than half the restaurant was sat. We had planed to order more food but after this terrible display of food we opted to quit wasting money on throw away food and just go home. Update: So like the other reviews stated they send a standard reply telling you it's not normal and to send in more information. I want to like this place more than I actually DO like this place. Five visits so far, all sitting at the bar. Service has been excellent, ambiance is solid, great lighting and good space. The biggest challenge has been the food, which has ranged from okay to, uh, not okay. French dip by far the best, ribs were fine, nachos were shockingly bad (very dry chicken, not much cheese and room temperature), and chicken tenders ("Zingers") a major disappointment (underseasoned and almost felt like a plastic wrap around them--but they were tender!). Outstanding beer selection -- though managers, please consider adding Nanticoke Nectar (RAR) to the local selections -- lots of TVs for major sporting events. Ima keep trying to find a 'go to' food option, and there are a ton of options, so I'm staying optimistic. But if you're on the fence about trying, I'd suggest you give it a shot; it's a nice addition to Mall area food/drink scene. read more

Tried the new Millers Ale House last night. We (8 adults) started with cocktails and beer at the bar while we waited for a table. All excellent. Table took a bit longer then estimated but they kept us informed which was very nice. Our waitress was wonderful! We started with apps, pretzel, calamari, nachos, all really good.
