It has been a long time since we frequented the Miller Ale House we used to be on our regular rotation many years ago and don't ask me why but recently we have been back several times and I must say I have enjoyed being here each and every time. The service has always been excellent and that is one of the reasons we enjoy being here. The center stage is the Bar around which the entire restaurant is built! If you are a teetotaler like the wifey and me fear not as this place probably has one of the selection of bar foods and much more! I personally am a fan of their Butgers and they never disappoint lol The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Even though this restaurant has been around for years the place is always clean with a warm vibe a great place to come to as the local watering hole! Yes we will definitely be back in the future! Miller's Ale House never disappoints. The atmosphere is always lively and welcoming, the food is consistently good, and the drinks are awesome. It's also a fantastic spot for large parties since there's plenty of space and the service never skips a beat, even with big groups. What really sets this location apart is the staff. Courtney is absolutely amazing--attentive, friendly, and always on top of everything. Manager Maryanne runs a great team and makes you feel truly valued as a guest. Their level of service is the main reason I keep coming back. I actually drive all the way from Weston just to dine at this location because they always make the experience worth it. Looking for a late night place to eat, Millers Ale House is usually my go- to choice. The food is good, consistent and it's a fun little sports bar. I stopped in Tuesday night on my way home from the airport. It was about 830 and I was really surprised it wasn't busy at all. We were seated immediately and ordered the daily special. A full rack of ribs for only $15.99. The ribs were good. They were tender and lean. The meal also comes with a side. The daily specials here are reasonable and a really good deal. The pluses, friendly server. Our orders came out as asked. Now the negatives. I ordered the mahi, mahi sanwich. My roll was not fresh. Something in the sandwich tasted like it was made with old oil. My vegetables were over cooked. My dining partner's vegetables came out cooked properly but they very peppery. The food is very inconsistent. I have been here many times, and while the food is usually passable, tonight it actually left a bad taste in my mouth. Great place to watch sports, knowing the food is just mediocre. The restaurant is located on a corner which was easy to find. There was plenty of parking all around. I was here around 7 ish. It was not very crowded. I thought this would be a great place to watch a game. It had that right atmosphere going. I ordered the famous Zingers. I asked before ordering if the chicken strips were crunchy and was told yes it is. They were not. That was a disappointment. The dish did not have much flavor alone. The flavor came from came from the hot sauce. The fries were soggy You can choose your heat with this dish from mild to hot. I was not a fan. I liked the calamari. It tasted great. The staff was great and friendly. Our waiter kept checking on us. The customer service was great. I had a good time here. I will order something else next time. read more

PROS: Our server Jay was AWESOME!!! Ambience was nice. CONS: We visited Miller's Ale House last night for a pre-birthday dinner for my son. What a disappointment. My husband ordered the zingers meal. The fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil, the chicken and cheese looked like it had been microwaved and let sit for a while because when we received our food it wasn't hot. I ordered a burger and broccoli. My broccoli was lukewarm. My husband had to use the restroom and stated that it was also EXTREMELY FILTHY!!! read more

We arrived 5.55 on Sunday evening. 2 of us advised a party of 4. (The other 2 were parking) The server set the table for 2 despite telling her twice there were 4! No big deal but little did we know it was a sign of things to come! We ordered drinks, and requested a wine list , which we received eventually. The wine had a few wines by the bottle but NO PRICES. We asked the server, who made a third trip to the bar to tell us wines were between $24.99 and $34.99 - Not wishing her to vanish again I chose a bottle I was familiar with without knowing the price. In between our 4 meals arrived and when my prime rib was half eaten I had to search for the sever and request at least a glass of water and if the bottle was not forthcoming provide us 2 glasses of wine. She started a 'speele' about no bar staff which I interrupted explaining I did not come with my friends to hear tales of Miller's mismanagement of staffing. Finally the bottle arrived as we neared finished eating and the fun really began and in all my years dining in many countries the server asked would I be opening the wine THIS WAS A FIRST! I explaining NO as I did not wish to take responsibility for a cork she already damaged . Finally having watchhed her struggle with a corkscrew (first time in her life, methinks) I took her out of her misery and opened the wine. The girl was obviously untrained and out of her depth The food - 3 dishes were okay although two of the baked potatoes were overcooked with a skin like the outside of a football.. The baked pasta had a similar appearance, and was obviously baked till dry and was inedible. My friend refused to send it back as she did not want a fuss. Tip time - I gave 15% and was glared at for the remainder of the evening....Shame on me...I should have given NO tip but like so many, felt embarrassed to not support a restaurants reluctance to pay and TRAIN their staff Ambiance- None....as the bar had perhaps 4 customers. I am an infrequent visitor here and the bar is always "hopping" The menu has changed for the worst. No staff 35 minutes to receive a bottle of wine (at guess a price) that is opened by me at MY risk. National Margarita Day brought us here after work for $2.22 Margarita's on Feb 22. The margaritas were pre-made and didn't quite give you the same buzz compared with nearby Happy Hour hotspots such as El Camino or Tap42. This place, however, brings back longtime nostalgia for me spanning back to 1992 in it's Boca Ale House days. My favorite years were in the '00's back when they had billiard tables and late night appetizer specials. On the plus side, it's a chill spot to get some drink on at the bar. Their $22.99 16 oz. prime rib on Thursdays with a loaded baked potato was delish! Some days are better than other days. Wing Wednesday is also a safe bet. Ale House brings more of a local, familiar crowd and there's no reason for anyone else to go far out of their way to get here. Food really good today! Tried a combo of Medium + Garlic on one set of wings and the Sweet Thai Chili on the other. The combo was really good if you like garlic! The Philly cheesesteak was surprisingly very good. We added the grilled peppers and some mayo. The only knock was that no one picked up any of our used and dirty plates, even though we stacked them nicely on the edge of the table, and servers were walking by constantly since we were right near the kitchen. What can I say about this place? They have good food. They have some bad food, but nothing is horrible. I love their Cobb salad, it doesn't matter which ale house I go to. They all taste the same and it's delicious. I very rarely stray from the salad, but when I do, it's usually for the hamburger. This place serves a very good hamburger, rivaling some of the burger joints that only sell burgers. It's juicy and cooked to your liking. I enjoy it when the burger is so juicy that it drips on your arms. This time was no exception. I absolutely recommend the burger. The service was excellent and the ambiance was welcoming. Decided to come here after hearing coworkers talk about the mountain melt. Service was great. Fast, friendly, and attentive (it wasn't busy). The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The mountain melt was.... Meh. As a matter of fact it was a mountain of disappointment. I got the garlic flavor. I suggest trying any other. I stop into this ale house frequently because due to a "misunderstanding" I had with the local sheriffs last July at another institution of higher drinking, which apparently necessitated my mouth be scrubbed out with the officer's nightstick, I have ongoing dental procedures at the offices nearby. Jess, Courtney, Mel, Moe, Woody, Sam Malone....it doesn't matter. They will make me the personal concoction that gets me Amy Winehoused enough to deal with Dr. Mengele's dentist chair. A libation that is equal parts Rumple Minze, Jägermeister, and desperation that I have dubbed the "Ned Dahtsy" after a roommate I had in college who stole my girlfriend and my Billy Ray Cyrus CDs. Food here is 'lish and the bar grub is on point. Think Le Bernardin, Alinea, or The French Laundry, but without the pretentiousness or the snooty tablecloths. Had to subtract a star because last week when I came in AFTER my last dentist appointment for the year, Maryanne the manager refused to microwave my store-bought chimichangas and deep-fry the Tostino's pizza rolls I brought to celebrate. She said that just because Miller's doesn't have those items on the menu doesn't mean she is compelled by a sense of fairness and/or good will to have the kitchen prepare them for me. Had to wait forever for a table even though there were plenty available. Enough that a family of like 5 who came in 15 minutes after us seated themselves. Granted no one ever met them at the hostess station but still. 2 other groups waiting after us and they were given menus and ordering by the time we eventually got a table. It was just me and my son and we both basically ordered mountain melts. Yet it took a full hour for them to come out. One of the parties seated after us had their ribs and steaks and were nearly done eating before we were even served. Literally only ordered chicken and fries but had to wait forever My mountain melts was neither a mountain nor a melt. Fries were way soggy from oil and had little to no crisp and barely seasoned there also was almost no cheese. All of the chicken pieces were also extremely tiny compared to my son's kids meal. I don't know if the bacon comes out of the cooks pay now cuz he didn't really put any on the plate! Disappointed and simply not acceptable - hopefully they can right the ship and fix operations as we are long time customers who come here regularly. What has happened to this place? This review is based on my two visits. First time, walked in on Thursday at 6pm, the place empty. Our server, Kendra was very good attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food needed some attention, I ordered the Pub fish and chips (a favorite of mine and was looking forward to it), when the food arrived the fish was over-fried almost burnt and needed to be drained more of the oil, which was old (from the taste of the food) and needed to be changed. The next time a few days later, the place was a little busier. We waited about 15 minutes before Jacob came over to our table, don't know if he had forgotten that we were sat in his section. We had to ask the busboy to get us some waters. I had ordered the cheeseburger with fries, waited another 20 minutes for food. Jacob came to the table and said "it will be out in a few, we are waiting for the fries". When I got the food, the burger was raw instead of medium, and the fries were cold. Did the kitchen forget the order? Jacob came back once to check on us and we had to flagged him down to get our check. We will think twice before going back. Upon sitting down our server took a quick drink order and we asked about lunch specials. Apparently they do have a lunch special like the other sports bar type restaurants (i.e. duffy's or flannigans). I ended up ordering a salad and my friend ordered zinger fries combined. My husband and I used to come here all the time but the last few times we went, the food/service was pretty terrible. I just ordered a Zinger Salad to go and at first glance it looked fine but after I added the blue cheese and shook the salad up in the container, the lettuce that was on the bottom was now on top and I could see that it was bad. It was brown and some pieces were slimy. I pulled some out and put it to the side, but once I realized I had to keep pulling more and more, I eventually gave up. I will repeat the Miller ale house on Glades Road in Boca Raton Florida was the worse experience our group of eight ever had!! Besides the reservation mix up the waitress service was extremely bad. We had a 4:45 reservation in order to get to our musical show at 7:00 pm. To start the drinks came out very slow as did the dinner. I asked the waitress for our checks and she said where are you sitting? I would think she would have known because she waited on us! Their menu doesn't particularly excite me. I ordered the FRENCH ONION SOUP, Caramelized onions, sherry, beef broth, melted Provolone cheese, and toasted crouton. Surprisingly always very good. Then I had the FRESH CHICKEN WINGS-, either 10 or 20 wings, choice of 15 different sauces and a choice of Ranch or Blue cheese dressing for the celery. I tried the medium garlic. They were just ok. My wanted a burger so she ordered the PRIME BURGER, melted white American cheese, shaved prime rib, roasted mushrooms, sautéed onions, gravy, crispy onion tangles and garlic-lime crema. We ordered takeout and I had issues with the food being cold, French onion soup being extremely salty and included the feedback in my survey they sent me. Our zingers were also cold even though we got there to pick up the order early but today when we attempted to reheat the zingers for lunch we noticed this when cutting into the meat which is just disgusting. Boca Ale house we have been going there for years . They use to have great wings, fajitas and finger food. It is a Great sports bar . About 5 years ago it went downhill The staff is not that friendly or nice to seniors. Well it was Christmas Day in Boca and not many restaurants open other then Chinese food. We decide to check it out. We were seated right away in a high top table. I ordered a grill chicken sandwich in hot sauce rather then deep fried . Well the sever messed that up and the chicken was ok but very little hot sauce or garnishings. The fries were crispy and hot. So Miller's ale house is your normal run-of-the-mill local sports bar. We come here often because we live close by and of course we visited many other locations in the past. The food is always exactly what you expect bar fare but they have an expended menu as well with some other options that Give you alternate choices besides for a burger or chicken wings. On this visit my husband and I decided to try one of the new menu items. We had the chicken pesto ravioli. I did not expect much really because after all we are at the ale house but let me tell you these were so amazingly delicious. We both were surprised at how good they were. We got them with a nice side salad which was fresh and crisp and delicious also. I noticed they had some other new pasta dishes as well so it's nice that they do change some feature items from time to time. Of course other items that you get at the ale house are always good as well like the fish and chips, the burgers, chicken wings and even the meatloaf. They also have really good lunch specials and have different dinner specials on each night of the week. I've been to other locations like I said but this one being close to home and the food always being good keeps me coming back to West Boca. read more
