We decided to try Millers Ale House after hearing so many rave reviews about their food and drinks. It opened several months ago, but there is always a long wait! When we arrived the wait was 30 to 45 minutes so we opted to grab a seat at the outside bar instead. It was a busy Wednesday night so it took a while for the bartender to attend to us. We ordered the watermelon margarita pitcher for $10.95 which was an amazing deal! For dinner I had the 35 Fried Shrimp with fries and Cole slaw and my husband ordered the Big Red Chicken Sandwich. His food came out first. It was pretty good! I realized when my plate came out that it was literally 35 fried shrimp with fries. There was no coleslaw or tartar sauce on the plate like the menu says so we had to request that. The server brought it out right away. It was okay but I was expecting something different. Not anything to brag about! This spinach dip is more like a thick soup based dip. Nothing like anything I've had anywhere else. Soon as we get seated our waiter comes over to our table and sits down next to my friend. I've never had a waiter come sit down at a table but I'm not opposed to it. It was the last hours of the night. He may have needed that break. But please make sure your breath isn't humming when you do!! We tried to offer a mint! They didn't have any of what I wanted left so I went with the 35 shrimp. It was edible. My friend stated her steak was pretty decent. Traveling from out of town, we decided to try Miller's last night for dinner. I'd love to tell you about our experience dining at Miller's but unfortunately, I can't. When being greeted by the hosts, we were asked to wear a face mask to walk from the front door to our table at which point we were no longer going to be required to wear one. At that point, I informed them of a condition which made wearing a face mask dangerous for me and asked them to make an exception. Being denied, I asked to speak with the manager. After telling the manager the same thing, I was again denied seating. I then informed him that refusing a customer service due to a disability was a violation of the ADA. The poor manager was very polite but said that it was corporate policy and his hands were tied. So, in short, Miller's has a corporate policy which violates the ADA. I have no interest in investing my time to file a claim, but I do hope that Miller's will reconsider a policy with no practical purpose. Patrons, once seated were roaming about freely in a packed restaurant with no limited seating. Making them wear a mask from the front door to their seats is silly. read more

Second, the plethora of amazing appetizers & entree options to accommodate ALL taste buds. Everything from seafood, chicken wings/tenders, fajitas, steaks and several salad options. Third, the great staff. Fourth, the phenomenal prices for food and drinks - the wine prices are for three different sizes. Fifth, the large entree portions. Sixth, the large, comfortable tables to accommodate at least 6-8 of your friends. Seventh TVs, TVs, & MORE TVs tuned to multiple sports channels. Eighth, the energy- everyone having fun, laughing, eating, drinking and being merry! Ninth can we talk about this Capt. Jacks buried treasure. This dessert is exclusively created for and sold at Miller's - OMG! I was speechless! Tenth, let's not forget WALLY, if he's there he doesn't mind sharing the history of this 98 store business that's been around 30 years! Well the food was okay honestly nothing special. We ordered the 10 margarita pitcher which was okay. The nachos turned out to be very disappointing I felt like I was trying to find chicken in the huge pile of chips we received. We ordered Zingers which on the menu they claim that they are the best chicken tenders in the world, survey says that is a lie. From the start I knew that this was gonna be over hype experience when she told me that wait was going to be 15-60mins an we still had to go back up there talk to the two girls at the front that we had been waiting for over hour. The calamari tastes like it was cooked in old grease , the grilled shrimp was under and cooked An my turkey burger tasted like rubber. The drinkers we ordered we made to match to our h20 water I guess cause they were so watered down I thought Long Island were dark colored drink not clear, the bar tenders look like they were in high school An didn't know anything about making alcoholic beverages an it showed. Probably won't be going back to this place at all too many other choices in the mcdonough /locust grove for that . Everything is always that much better with great service.We we're lucky to have Alan G. as our waiter and it was so refreshing to have great efficient service ,without feeling we are being rushed out.We never had to ask for a refill,being he was right on it as soon as he saw our glasses low. Tried this place for the first time last night. We sat at the bar for a drink first, waiting to be seated at a booth. Zach the bartender was awesome, real nice guy. He was very knowledgeable about everything and everything we ate was delicious. In fact Zach was so good we decided to stay at the bar to eat our dinner. Great food and great service, especially from the bar. Ebony to be specific, she's always great. Fast with the orders, always greets us with a joke which I like, it makes it feel more personal and she's never forgotten a sauce or refill. I've had a few bad servers from here but I don't fault that on the establishment. Servers sometimes see a young couple and think they're not going to get a good tip. Little do they know both of us have worked in the food industry. That's usually why I tend to go for the bar because I know if I see ebony then we get taken care of. If you're looking for something to try, the Calamari is a good appetizer, the nachos are too if you have a party or just want them as a meal because the portions are big. My favorite is the Prime Rib Burger & Captain Jacks Buried Treasure for dessert if I have room. read more

This used to be a great place, especially late at night. It was nice to be able to get good food after 10pm. This has completely changed. I understand we are still dealing with a pandemic but when a restaurant deliberately avoids patrons is just inexcusable. This is the second time in two weeks when my wife and I have attempted to go at 10:30. The first time I stood at the host stand for 10 mins. When we're finally seated the waitress had an attitude and asked why we didn't sit at the bar. Today at 10:25pm, the door is locked. If you are not going to adhere to the posted time, change them. You've done it before. So disheartening. read more

Yesterday was my first visit to Miller's Ale House and definitely won't be my last. The ambience was pretty nice. There were plenty of TVs which is always good for whatever you want to watch. The restaurant wasn't too loud which is good. I've been to similar establishments where I had to yell over the music or noise in general. The spicy chicken sandwich was pretty good (wish it was a bit spicier) and the 35 fried shrimp was delicious. Overall a great place to eat with no regrets after ! read more

This is one of our go to restaurants when we don't feel like cooking. My husband loves the 35 shrimp with their delicious french fries and I love the cocktails. Unfortunately, I haven't found a favorite meal on the menu. The mahi-mahi was a little dry and over seasoned. The shrimp scampi was a little overcooked and the pasta was a little tough as well. But, like every new restaurant that opens in McDonough, they are inundated with patrons because apparently.....we don't know how to make a decent home-cooked meal.
