I can't find any fault with this place. If it was located next to my house, I'd eat here every day. In fact, I eat here at least twice a month. Their prices haven't gone up very much in the past three years. Their food is consistently good, and It's not a chain franchise. Flavors of the Gyros and tzatziki are always well balanced and leave you wanting more - even after devouring the healthy portions! It physically pains me that I am forced to write this review. I have been a regular customer at Milos for the last 15 years, coming in around once a week outside of Covid lockdown. The staff knows my order, I always clean up my table, put my dishes away and return whatever sauces my table took from the sauce area. I really enjoy the food here, and I overlook some minor things like a "stickiness" lingering on the tables and condiment bottles, and that the restroom is closed quite often. Since returning to working in my office after Covid restrictions were lessened, I have been going to Milos again as usual. I usually go to lunch with three other coworkers at least, and we all go to the same restaurant together. However, one of the people in my group is typically bringing their own lunch on any particular day. It is not always the same person. I had written it off and a misunderstanding, but very soon after returning to eating at Milos regularly, the owner Tony mumbled something at my group about eating outside. I didn't really understand what he said and I figured there was some good reason so at the time our group sat down outside and ate. Since that time, my coworkers and I have visited Milos at least 15 times, with at minimum two paying customers and typically with someone bringing their own food. No more mention about needing to sit outside, no comments from any staff whatsoever. The people who bring their food do not always do so and have paid for food at Milos before. Today on November 10th, when myself and three coworkers (one of whom had a Tupperware of food) attempted to enter the restaurant, the owner Tony became irate and forced the Tupperware guy to stay outside. He insisted that he was "taking advantage of him" even though the people who bring their own lunch don't even use any supplies from the restaurant, not even napkins or a cup for water. They literally just occupy a seat at the table our group is already sitting at. I then asked Tony why my coworker cannot simply sit inside with us (three paying customers) to which he kept repeating that he's being taken advantage of. I pointed out that our particular lunch group had been coming here for over ten years regularly, and he told us that he would give us our money back for the meals we had just paid for and that we could leave. I asked Tony directly if he would rather lose AN ENTIRE GROUP OF 8+ UNIQUE MEMBERS (including at least 6 people who never bring their own food) just because he doesn't want someone who brought their own lunch occupying a seat in the usually fairly empty restaurant. Tony said yes. My coworkers/friends and I have bought LITERALLY HUNDREDS of meals at this restaurant are NEVER COMING BACK because this man has this asinine stance about one member of a group bringing their own food to what boils down to a sandwich shop. Way to go, Tony, you proved that you have no idea how customer service should be, or you just are too prideful and stubborn to adapt to the modern restaurant business. I will note that the most recent woman working the register has always been extremely kind and friendly to me and my group. She was apologizing for Tony during this entire ordeal today and trying to make excuses but he wasn't relenting. read more

So I have positive and negative. The negative review is based on service. The fact I'm giving two stars is because the food was pretty good. I'll start with the con: The old guy I talked to was rude. Really rude. Not patient or kind at all. I felt like walking out but I was hungry and wanted to eat. I work hard for my money and didn't have huge expectations other than filling my stomach. I really don't understand why some people work in social businesses. That being said, I'll never go back. There plenty of great spots in town. Pro: The food was good. This is a little lunch joint in a strip mall. The food was fine, mostly pre-made gyro strips that are fried up and put into a sandwich. Nothing was horrible, it was clean, works find in a pinch, but keeping in mind, it's a small lunch joint nothing special. read more

Very friendly and good service but the food was disappointing. I got a lamb gyro, fries, and mozzarella sticks. The best do the three was the mozzarella sticks which quite frankly isn't hard to get right. The gyro was fairly tasteless so the abundance of onions really over took it all as a whole. The topping mix of onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and the yogurt drizzle tasting wonderfully fresh but couldn't quite make up for the lambs very bland flavor. I love gyros and this is probably the most bland experience I've had yet. I don't expect much from fries but they're definitely not something I'd actively ever order, as they were in my opinion, too soft and also a bit bland. read more

One word: cheesy-steak-goodness! I'm not one to eat at fast food joints due to the high amounts of unnecessary fat and sodium, but this is no ordinary fast food place. They have a comprehensive menu, with pizzas, cheesesteaks, wings, fries, burgers, gyros and sandwiches. If you are feeling lean, they also have salads and kids meals! One thing that I particularly enjoy here is the Hawaiian philly steak which has pineapple and teriyaki sauce. It's some good cheesy philly right there! The place is family owned it looks like and employees are nice and courteous for the most part. It's also very clean and has a clean bathroom. Last time I was here the fries were overcooked and have very little garlic on top (after I asked for extra extra garlic) and the meat to bread ratio was badddd. Not enough meat at all. This time however, the fries were undercooked but the garlic was to my liking. Butttt the meat to bread ratio was still bad. Not enough meat once again. This is one of my most favorite spots in the Sacramento area! I always get the chicken teriyaki sandwich and I add cheese. The owner is such a cute little old man and he always makes me feel like family. I'm so glad I found this spot because they have a little bit of everything. Pizza, burgers, cheesesteaks, crispy French fries, and the best teriyaki chicken sandwich ever! Highly recommend for anyone attending Sierra college or visiting the area. I had my first bite of one last year from a food cart vendor, and to be honest, there has only been one place in Emeryville that satisfies my gyro craving. I grabbed a standard gyro from Milo's one evening to go- lamb/beef mixture with lettuce, tomatoes, and dressing. The portion was huge, the fries were hot and delicious!! The gyro wrapper was kind of stiff, the meat was ok, the toppings made the gyro complete. Overall gyro experience I'd give a 3. I came back for lunch with a coworker and grabbed a philly sandwich with steak and mushrooms w/fries...this blows the gyro away!!! The bun was soft, the meat, cheese, and mushrooms were a perfect combination and totally satisfying. For the variety, this is a great little place to get burgers, cheesesteaks, and gyros. I wish we had a place like Milo's in midtown. It would really add some variety to our spoiled palettes out there. When in Rocklin, Milo's is a quick spot to satisfy your hearty appetite. I can dig it! The food was served hot and fresh. The prices were mostly under $10 (except pizzas). The service was mediocre, but I'm assuming it's just a casual place for lunch breaks! They seemed pretty busy and the line moves quick. My co-worker had the philly cheesesteak and I went with the gyro. We both added garlic fries, too. Generous portions, they didn't skimp out on the meat! I liked how many different sauces they had available on the counter. It makes sense, considering their far-stretched menu... Italian? Greek? The food here looks great but the 1 Star is for the service. I went here with a group of people who ordered food. I did bring my own lunch from home because I always pack my own lunch. I wanted to eat with my colleagues so I went with them. They ordered and we all sat down. The owner then came over and started to yell at me to get out because I had my own food. I said that is fine and packed up my food. No one in the group complained, but he continued to get aggressive and say everyone at the table needs to leave and that they can either take their food to go or get a refund. Our table just sat their stunned. He continue to yell at us as he walked away and went back to the kitchen. I can understand not bringing other food in, but I was with a group of paying customers and there were no signs up saying no outside food. It's also unfortunate that he started to attack the paying customers just because one person out of the whole group brought in their own food. Needless to say, none of us will be back because that isn't how you treat your customers, especially from the owner, and especially escalating when no one in the group was talking back. read more

What an awesome find! We were on our way to Reno and seriously needed some grub. Ding ding ding! Gyros FTW! Looked up Milo's and it was super convenient...right off the freeway. We called in our order a few minutes ahead. 2 gyros please! Walked in and found our order ready for us. The cooks in the back were pumping out gyros like crazy! It was pretty busy but they kept the line moving. Great service also. Our gyro was packed with meat. I loved how they sliced it thick rather than small slivers. I could really taste the yummy goodness and also enjoyed the pita. When I looked behind the counter, I saw that they also bake their own bread for their philly cheesesteaks...a must try next time. The gyro also came with fries...next time, I'll probably ask if they could sub it for salad. All in all, Milo's has become one of my favorite gyro places. 5 stars! read more

The only thing wrong with Milo's is that it's 30 minutes from me. This is one of my all-time favorite spots for lunch. I'm a sucker for a good gyro and this place has the best in town. Not to mention CRINKLE fries. YUM!!! They have an exhaustive selection of hot sauces that makes my heart sing. I honestly haven't had any of the other food, but my husband loves the Philly cheese steak and my toddler eats the hummus with a spoon. No frills joint with counter ordering and fill your own drinks. We looked for a place with Greek food near Costco and I picked this one due to its four stars. Yay! We both got the classic Gyros (lamb/beef strips in a pita wrap) and it was great. Generous amount with tzatziki sauce, really good. We paid $1 extra to get salad with it and that was excellent, too. The freshest, crisp iceberg lettuce, dressing, and good chunks of very authentic feta cheese. We sat outside which was pleasant despite the parking lot. I appreciate that the food was served on a real china plate, not paper or plastic that would be put in the trash. The plate was an extra touch that made it special, not just fast-food (though it did come out quickly). We live a good distance away but would make a point of coming again here. read more
