Good customer service but they overcharged me and broke a part in my car when they had it in their possession. They refused to take ownership in breaking the part and tried to charge me an arm and a leg to fix it. I took it to another shop who fixed it right away. Update: 05/12/2018 Just 2 days of my car getting out the shop now my car wont start. They never fix the issue now it caused my battery to drain out! This place is a scam. I am from out of town and took my car here because my bmw was reading high battery drain on the dash. The guy Phillip said this shop has handle this problem before so I brought my car in. He called me back and said it was the battery and the negative cable and said it will be around 1200 dollars. With no problems, I told them to fix it. The next day the message pop back up, and I called and told them. They said they had to reset my car. The next day the message pop back up again. I had to leave to go back home with my car still saying the samething and out of 1200 dollars including the rental I paid for. I called the shop last week I told them I will back and town and needed them to look at my car for the same message. The bmw dealership wants to charge me 440 dollars to figure out why this problem is going on. I brought my car in on Tuesday now Phillip is telling me now they have to replace the postive cable. Clearly these guys doesn't know whats going on with my car. So I advise him that I need them to fix because my car because its still under warranty and he basically told me No. So I will be taking them to small claims court. I recently found Milts when my regular mechanic had to close due to the fires. My 2006 Prius for the first time had issues. Anyways, Phillip helped me and was just awesome. It cost a bit to repair, but its a hybrid so I expected it and wanted it fixed correctly.. He said it could take up to 2 weeks since there was only 1 part available and it was in New York. He did everything to get this past asap.. My car was done in a week, (not 2) and was under budget of what he quoted me. I actually gave him a hug since I was so pleased. I hate going in to have my car fixed as wee all do, but when I need it fixed I will be going back there. I am also going to start going there for my regular oil changes. read more

Very disappointed with this shop! Spoke to Adrian on the phone and was given a quote. Scheduled the appointment. Got up early in the morning to bring it to get the AC repair done, get there and not only are they not able to do the work because the machine broke yesterday (they couldn't bother to call me so I didn't have to get up early after working late last night?), the quote changes from $400 to $489! Was also supposed to get brakes done, was told on the phone that the inspection would be done for free as they don't have to take the wheels off, that they use a flashlight to check them. Well that's not what I was told in the shop, they charge $79 for the inspection and then if they do the work it get's absorbed into the cost of the repair. Will NEVER TAKE MY CAR THERE! That's just dishonest! And they are charging $120 an hour for labor! The rates are better than that in Napa! read more

Adrian was reallly nice and professional when I called to make and appointmen for a tune up on my Nissan Altima. He was able to fit us in the next day (they are not open on weekends). We dropped off our car first thing in the morning and we told him any problems he should be aware of. He typed it all into the computer and by 11am I had a pdf file of all the details we went over and how much each would cost and what he recommend I get and what I could wait to get done another time. We also told him we would be moving to Colorado so he was attentive in letting us know what fluids needed to be changed for the colder weather. We had a bit of work done and I told him we needed the car back that day so he made sure to put two guys on the car by the afternoon so that we can get the car back. These guys are great! They weren't sure how long the labor hours would be because the job was not too common. They gave an over-estimate just to be on the safe side. The final price was half of the "worst case estimate". I feel I was billed for real labor hours, not inflated like many shops do. Everybody at the shop was professional and pleasant including the guy who brought me home in the shuttle van. The fact they offer a ride home was a cool service. 2017 I had my celica's transmission replaced here. They took nearly 1 mo. To fix it because the part didnt ship in time. Spent 5,000 dollars. Thats fine. What went wrong is that when they replaced everything somehow an electrical harness was misplaced on my vapor solenoid. This caused a check engine code to come up prompting me to replace my vapor cannister and a horrible rough Idle whenver I went to fill up my gas tank and my fuel economy was cut in half. The code prompted me to switch out the vapor cannister Which I did on my own spending another $400 on. The engine light still was there. I returned to Milts for them to see what was wrong. No signs of hoses leaking at no charge to look at it. The problem persisted and now they wanted to charge me to diagnose the issue. At that point I didnt want to spend more money on something they replaced incorrectly. A simple mistake cost me 400 bucks on a part I didnt need and the worse part is they refuse to accept they made a mistake. Not coming back here. read more

I brought my 99 honda accord in for some engine problems. Spoke with Andrew he explained everything really well and I felt comfortable bringing my vehicle here for repairs. After there diagnosis and the mileage on the car it was recommended that I replace the engine I knew the transmission was going out too so I opted to have that replaced also. 4 days later I was back on the road with a new warranty on my engine and transmission, if I keep up on the maintenance I should get another 200,000 miles out of it!! read more

We had to take our GMC Acadia in last week because of overheating. Milt's performed a quick diagnostic to let us know that our water pump needed to be replaced. Phillip explained to me over the phone in layman's terms what the issue was and was happy to answer any questions I had. My husband wanted a bit more information about the the cooling system, and Phillip graciously offered to have the repair team explain everything in person to my husband. I cannot say enough good about this place. We sent my granddaughter there to get a few things checked out on her Toyota before she headed off to her new job in Santa Barbara. This is an old car with 250,000 miles on it. They not only looked at the few items we knew about but also gave the car a thorough road worthy inspection. They found a number of serious items that delayed my g-daughter's departure for a day but they also did the research to find that a number of parts (from previous repairs by others) were still on warranty. Adrian and the team at Milt's are fantastic! When I lived in LA, I had a service garage that I'd used for over 20 years. When I moved to Vallejo, I was nervous about finding a new mechanic. I tried the big chain store a few times, but when they would give me estimates for service, I was never quite certain if they were spot on. Last summer, my air conditioning went out. The big chain store's estimate was super expensive. So I logged onto Yelp and read all the positive reviews for Milt's and decided to give them a try. I'm SO glad I did. They were able to fix the air conditioning for less than $100. We've since been back to them for other repairs. Adrian will always take the time to explain the work to you and I find their prices are great. Oh man. Where to start? I guess the beginning would be best. We had to have our Chevy HHR towed to the garage at about 8:45am (we chose Milt's because of a lot of great recommendations) because the engine completely died on me while driving on the highway the day before and it would not start back up again. After taking our information, Adrian took our key, told us they would let us know as soon as they found out what was going on and gave us a ride home in the shuttle. On Wednesday we called and they had just got done doing a reading of the computer and were trying to find out what the codes meant because there were conflicting readings showing. After some research they determined that the thermostat and the MAP sensor needed to be replaced. After replacing these it still would not stay running and the computer was still giving off weird codes. After even more research they found the computer needed to be replaced. After doing this and testing it again it was working! They called to tell us it was fixed and ready to pick up. We came in, paid and took her off the lot. We left from there and headed straight to Travis Air Force base (where I was driving to when the trouble first occurred) and no more than got on Airbase when the engine power reduced message came on again! When I got to my husband's building, put it in park and he opened his door to get out so I could take the car back to Milt's the engine completely died again! Not very happy campers! My husband called Milt's when the engine light message came on and told them we were coming back. He then called them back when the engine died to let them know and Milt's sent out a tow truck at their expense to bring us back. When my husband told Adrian that both times the message came on was when we had been driving from Vallejo to Fairfield, Adrian put the car on a simulator (sorry if that is the wrong word) to mimic the car driving about 35mph for about 20 miles. He said a weird message flashed on after the engine power reduced message flashed that pertain to the fuel system. As this sounded very out of place Adrian got out of the car, went to the fuel harness and unplugged the cable there. Guess what he found! WATER!!!! Lots of water poured out of the harness! Now, I am not a mechanic by any means but even I know that water is NOT supposed to be any where near cables or anything electrical! There was literally a "science project" growing in there. Adrian dried it all out, cleaned everything up and resealed the seals with some dialectic grease. Oh, did I forget to mention that the extra diagnosis and the work on the fuel harness was free of charge? Yup, it was. After about 11 days of hair pulling, teeth grinding and general frustration Adrian was very happy to give us our car back fixed! Not only did we get our car fixed but we also got our average mpg increased. We were only getting about 23mpg and we are now getting 27mpg! The only reason there is a four star and not a five is that we would have liked to have been contacted a bit more to be kept in the loop! a BIG THANK YOU to Adrian and all of the techs who worked on this! Once I made it, the staff were friendly, funny, direct & provide quality service. With what was needed I did not feel cheated or as if they were taking advantage of me. I forgot his name but he had an accent & he called me to ask for my wheel lock which I forgot about... They looked everywhere until I remembered where I placed it. I dont normally write reviews but when i receive service that is above and beyond the norm its worth letting others know. I brought my 02 Sentra in with a MIL issue that Nissan themselves didnt know where to start. I am a DIY guy and have never brought my car into a shop for work because (like dealerships) shops dont have the greatest of reputation Steve was completely upfront with me about the cost and time needed to run an electrical diagnosis and the communication i received from them was better than what most people receive at dealerships . Labor rates are VERY reasonable, they warranty their work and have discounts for various membership clubs ( AAA).... i wouldnt hesitate bringing any of my vehicles back to these guys.....Honest shops are hard to find and coming from someone that works for a dealership....these guys will provide you with better service and at a much lower rate than any dealership could.
