Speedee Midas Vallejo was suggested by a friend. This location is at the corner of an intersection near Foodmax. Not much car space if cars piled up or many customers in line all at the same time. Speedee offers oil changes, smog, auto tuning, and a lot more. They have coupons at the website that I forgot to use. It's my first time and not familiar with what to do but this is according to my experience: Walk in no appointment needed. First, get in line in the drivethru like space. Scan the QR code you will see at the front to check in. For first time users you have to create an account and input your information as well as the vehicle details including the vin number. A staff will approach you and help with the process. Next, leave the keys in the car and go to their waiting area. The waiting area has indoor and outdoor seating, indoor seats has like 8-10 chairs. The place is clean, with one bathroom I did not use. The process was fast, took longer than I expected due to I was like 3rd or 4th in line in a Friday early morning. It was actually faster than my usual dealership experience with my other car. I recommend going to this place. read more

I came to this location 3 times to be told the oil they needed for my fleet vehicle "would arrive on Monday" or "tomorrow" and each time I had to pickup my vehicle again and delay my oil change. I drive 1300 miles a week. An oil change is pretty important. After the 3rd attempt, I try calling and asking that instead of wasting more of my time and gas, the shop lead shoot me a text once the oil arrives so I can bring in the vehicle. The receptionist proceeds to tell me "no, he can't do that. He doesn't have time for that." Ma'am, I work 80 hours a week, drive for about 50 of those hours, and still find time to effectively communicate with my clients because customer relationship = it's revenue. I promise you your shop lead has 30 seconds to send a text to a paying customer. I went to the Oil Changers on Admiral Callaghan and they were not only extremely helpful and friendly, but they took the time and explained why my fleet's oil wasn't available yet and that there was an actual note from the vehicle manufacturer of what oil *can* be used until it's specific oil was available. The receptionist at SpeeDee probably didn't realize that it wasn't just one fleet vehicle they'd lose business from. My household of 6 vehicles will be taking our money elsewhere. Next time, maybe remember that vehicle maintenance shops are a dime a dozen and if you want your shop to have revenue, act like you care about your customers paying your bills. read more

I want to give a huge shoutout to Dani for doing such an amazing job on my oil change! He was professional, respectful, and very responsible from start to finish. What really stood out to me was the care he showed for my vehicle--he even took the extra step of covering my seats to make sure no oil from his uniform got on them. That kind of attention to detail shows how much pride he takes in his work. Dani worked quickly and efficiently, but never cut corners. I could tell he is a very hard worker who goes above and beyond for customers. My only concern is that it seemed like he was working alone while other cars and customers were waiting, and I noticed two coworkers nearby who didn't seem to be helping. Even then, Dani didn't slow down--he went straight from another car to mine and then immediately to the next vehicle as I was leaving. We brought our vehicle in for an oil change, a 2025 Toyota Camry, very common car, they told us they don't have the oil, but they would order it to come back on Monday. We've come back to three different appointments and they still don't have the oil. They refused to call us when that oil came in, saying they don't have time to call customers. Worse SpeeDee in Bay Area . Brought my car for fucking simple ass oil change and my car never leaked before. After the oil change my car started leaking and brought it back and they said engine leaking bullshit. I brought to another service and the oil drain plug was not properly tighten. This is supposed to be done automatically even if you're dumbass and you work for speedee. Obviously there are far more dumbest people in this Speedee Midas. I've been here probably 3x now. But during my recent visit with COVID19 guidelines implemented I was really impressed with the staff. From the greeter to the mechanics. They serviced my car for an oil change and also changed my wiper blades while I stayed in my vehicle. They also noted my next service that needs to be done. I like how they don't pressure you in any service package. The service was great and I am very impressed that everyone wore a mask and practiced social distancing. Thank you. I used to take my car here all of the time. I found it to be the cheapest and always got great service. Then I had a major issue and never came back. I got a new car in 2021 and the dealership gave me my first oil change. I took it back here a couple of weeks ago for an oil change to see if it had gotten better. 17 point oil change should include a wash of the windshield and a vacuum of the carpets, neither of which I got. My service light was on and it was still on after the oil change. The technician assured me he reset it and that there was something else wrong with the car. So I made an appointment with my dealership today. The employee at check-in got into my car, was in there for two minutes, and got back out and said there was no issue that the oil light was not reset properly. huge waste of my time that could've been avoided if the technician had done the job properly. read more

Went in for simple oil change and spark plugs on my 03 accord. Left the shop and my car started smoking like it was on fire under the hood. Filled the whole cabin with smoke so bad I couldn't breathe and had to pull over and get out. Took it back and they say they left a "double gasket" on the oil filter. They changed the oil filter and said they cleaned it up but it's still smoking and my check engine light is on now. All they could offer me was a free oil change next time. I also had my cabin filter replaced for $40 that is probably going to smell like oil forever now because smoke was coming out of the vents. I do not recommend them at all. Terrible service and they will ruin your car. Also my car takes 5w-20 and I saw them put 5w-30 in. What a joke. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, I called one day last week asked if they could fix my rotors and brakes, the person on the phone said the estimate amount and tells me if I "want it done today You need to bring it in now". I took my truck and they tell me it's going to take a hour to 2, I'm okay with that.. 3 and a half hours later they call me and tell me they didn't even bother switching the brakes or rotors. Mind you I just bought the car a month ago and the previous owner warned me that the rotors and brakes aren't good AT ALL. So speedee just bleed my brake system. Forgot to put the cap on the fluid tank and sends me on my marry little way saying my brakes are perfect. BUT if I want to get them done go somewhere else. How does that makes sense ??? A couple days later not knowing they didn't put the cap back on, my brakes fail while I'm driving and I almost start collision on the freeway because of this place not doing their job right. I've always come here for oil changes and they're always honest hard working people. They always come in and politely let me know what's wrong with my cars, what they're going to do, and what needs to be done. That's really good reassurance. Just today I had trouble putting some new headlights in my car so I asked if they could help me out, and they did it in 15mins. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR INVOICE! Went in last night to get a full *synthetic* change as I had requested. They instead put in a combo mix and I didn't notice until I went to see what their smog prices were. The manager was good enough to drain and fill it but didn't want to generate any paperwork confirming they did it (because he'd have to charge me). He wrote down the details on a card for me because maintenance records are important if the engine blows up for some reason. He seems to think me providing my own filter alleviates them of 99% of liability but that's only true if the filter is in fact at fault for an issue rather than their installation of it or filling of oil. Otherwise service was good. I'm not sure I'd go back but it was my own fault for not double checking what I was signing. That said, when you ask for synthetic you should be getting synthetic. My engine was freshly rebuilt at 215k or so, I want to baby it to get along to my student loans being paid off so it can explode then. Yes manager, the combo may meet Toyota's specs but it doesn't meet my higher standards. If you're reading this, thank you for swapping my oil but please make sure your guys confirm the work 100% when they're finished before signing! My fiancé Ernie Took his Cadillac El Dorado to Speedee Midas for injector work and get smogged. They were the second place he took his car to for injector work....the first place he went to told him to give up and sell his car! Not Midas--the professionals here took a peek at the Cadillac, diagnosed the problem, and told him what his options were. Ernie agreed to have the work done which would take about another 24 hours which was fine with him. When I called to check up on the car, Ed (not sure his title or position there) explained exactly what was happening, estimated time to finish, cost, etc. Ed was very detail oriented and polite. Later picked up the car while fiancé was at work and was happy to deal with professionals from beginning to end. From the mechanics to the person who rang me up, I received excellent customer service. The Cadillac now runs like a champ.....no weird noises, glitches like before. Smooth and quiet like a Cadillac should run. Ernie swore he will only come to Speedee Midas from now on! And if I happen to need work on my vehicles, I will be coming here as well! read more

There is no need to go into specifics about my experience at this particular location. If you read all the one star reviews, almost all of my complaints will be mentioned in them. But I guess I will anyways... Coolant reservoir overfilled, unpleasant customer service and communication, and my air filter was never inspected as it should have been during the actual inspection. I challenged this...and this is when I realized that the air filter was never inspected because the mechanic did bring it to me after I called this out and it was very dirty. My original receipt states that the air filter was "not needed", which was completely false. Coolant level was at minimum, and I was well aware of this before even stepping foot into the shop. The mechanic stated that it didn't need to be topped off. I questioned him about this, and he ended up doing it after it was brought up. After all is said and done, I go back and inspect the coolant reservoir only to find out that it was filled way over the maximum level. I'm no mechanic, obviously. But if the reservior clearly states what the maximum level you should top it off at is, I'm assuming it would be best to fill it up to that point, no more, no less. I'm paying you guys almost $100 for services that are owed to me. If you aren't following through with every single item that you advertise in a 17 point inspection, you're incompetent and do not value the customers that are contributing to your paycheck. I usually go to Milt's on Tuolumne, but was in a hurry this time around and wanted a quick job done on my car. I learned my lesson, and will never go to anyone else besides Milt's from now on. I essentially paid about $100 to micromanage a group of mechanics who should know what they are doing, and left with uncertainties and concerns about what was done to my vehicle. That is the last thing that a customer should have to deal with. read more

Don't go here. There's NOTHING SPEEDEE about this place. Came here for brake fluid change. Guy tells me 25mins. 1.5hrs later I ask about my car. The guy went to lunch. How you going to tell your customers 25mins and then go to lunch? I would love to go to lunch and eat some damn food than sitting here for 1.5hrs from 12-1:30pm. I had to have the guy show me exactly what he did because I didn't trust them that they actually did what they said they would! That isn't the worst part.. I gave them a damn 1 star cuz the chick working the front was a B$&@!.. Kept arguing with me giving me attitude nonstop about my car and how she doesn't know anything and DOESNT CARE. I told her it's obvious she doesn't care with that attitude. I wouldn't have left upset if she never opened her mouth. This place man, this place. This place right here $&@?!, this place right here... Don't do it to yourself. Go somewhere else and pay more... Guarantee you'll get some respect from the place that charges more. It's part of the package. I never told these people I "wasn't paying". I told the lady with the attitude to "tell the service techs that I'll just take it as is, or they can finish in 10mins, otherwise I'm not paying to sit here for two hours"! I've been putting off an oil change for a long time, and even though the COVID19 crisis is occurring I thought I'd check to see if SpeeDee-Midas was still open. I was pleased to find they are, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. The workers were very professional and kind, explaining that their waiting room is closed due to COVID (I appreciate the extra steps they are taking to minimize risk while remaining open), so I was instructed to wait in my car. All in all a pleasant experience. They even gave me a coupon for next time. I'm always happy to support businesses that are having to stay open amidst a pandemic. read more
